"Blake Blake Blak- hey Rex- Blake!" Deacon called, and she looked up from the papers she was working on.

"Hey, Bandit. What you need?" She asked, leaning back in her chair. It almost bothered Deacon, knowing she should have been getting bigger with child and she was still as thin as a rail.

"I was walking past the mall cause I had to bring Bandit to the hospital and when we were walking past, we heard a scream and there was some guy dragging Jayson into the woods." He said, running his hand gently over the small of Bandit's bandaged back. She'd been out cold for awhile now.

"Okay. I'm gonna go check it out. Uh.. Give Rex a description of the guy-"

"I didn't see the guy.. He was dressed in dark clothes."

"Okay. Then let Rex get your statement and I'm gonna go check it out." She said, grabbing her gun and putting it in the holster before she headed out to the woods, leaving Deacon there with a sleeping Bandit. She parked in the mall parking lot, hoping there wasn't going to be a lot of people there today before she started following the tracks down the old cabins. But as soon as she got to the cabin where Nevada had been hours before, she realized something wasn't right here. She pulled her phone from her pocket, calling Rex to tell him she needed back-up.

Rex glanced up as he heard Deacon rush in, and gradually set his headset down, chewing on his lip as he listened. He typed up what Deacon said, grabbed his phone as it began to ring a little later, and picked up, leaning back. Sightless eyes glaced towards where he had last heard Deacon, and he patted Dakota with his free hand as the printer printed and faxed a description to the front desk, and one in braille to himself.

"Rex.. Can you get a squad down here? It's dark and I can't see shi- crap.. But from what I can tell there's blood on the sofa and it's like someone's been here for awhile.." She said quietly. It made sense someone would stay out here, especially if they planned on kidnapping the boy. But she didn't want to go in alone.

"Sure thing. Be down there in a moment woth Dakota, too." He called up front for a squad and stood. "As a witness, you can come with if you want," Rex huffed. "If not we'll be calling you later. "Dakota, follow." He pulled his cane out, movin with ease towards the front and grabbing his field badge as he headed out the door, snatched Dakota's k9 unit vest by the door.

"I gotta get home before Bandit wakes up.." Deacon said quietly, and left.

Blake looked up as back up finally came, but she'd never actually gone past the door a few steps. She didn't have a light, and knew if she went it, she would just be tampering with evidence. She stepped out of the house, and sat down in the grass, waiting for Rex to come with Dakota, or someone to start piling her with bagged evidence to tag.

Rex climbed out. "Go search," He breathed and unclipped Dakota's leash, using his cane and leaning against the outer wall. Dakota began barking inside.
"We've got a body!" Someone called, asking Blake to bring in a body bag. They handed Rex a phone and told him to call the number someone had pulled up and leave a message to them that the owner of the phone seemed to have been found dead.

Blake sighed and got up from where she sat. They already had the new coroner on call, but she honestly preferred Deacon. Even if they couldn't touch him. Deacon always did the dirty work for her so she didn't have to see the bodies.

She grabbed the bag from the back of the cruiser, and started blindly inside to where people were talking in the back. "Well? Who is it? Ow." She nearly tripped over a chair, and grabbed whoever was standing next to her.

"We can't see any better than you, Blake." The guy said she'd grabbed, and she handed him the bag. She couldn't help thinking Rex would do about as good a job as they would.

"Lets get some lights in here!" Rex moved to the car, grabbing the mag lights, and handed them to the guy at the door so they could get some pictures of the scene and actually see. Dakota was still barking, as trained to do so. "Dakota, silence!" Rex called from outside.

Blake winced as suddenly they had all too bright lights. It seemed like there was either blood or clothes or fluids everywhere. "Come see, 'Kota. Treat?" She called, hoping the dog was comfortable enough to obey her now. She squatted down, tapping her fingers on the ground as she pulled the other half of her doughnut out of her back pocket. "Treat, Dakota?"

The large dog eyed the body, then licked his lips and padded towards her with a growl, his notion of obedience to the officers.
Rex shifted his weight outside, bagged the cell phone.
