She held the other half of the doughnut out to him so he could eat it. She patted his head gently. "That's a good boy. Yeah. You're such a good puppy, huh?" She kissed the top of his head before she lead him back outside to Rex, wiping her hand on her jeans. "We found a body, daddy. And ate the other half of Blake's doughnut. But that's okay cause she doesn't need to get fat." She said with a laugh, patting the dog's head.

Rex clipped his leash off, smiled. "Here, body." He grunted as the officer hauled it into his arms. "Jesus..christ.." He huffed. "You guys take that back to examination and have it identified. "We'll finish up here. Just put the phone in evidence." "Car," Rex huffed in complaint. "Where's the car?"

"Some of these officers are pricks." She muttered, knew very well Rex couldn't find his way to a car he couldn't see with a body in his arms. It wasn't like she couldn't lift anything anymore. She wasn't pregnant anymore. She carefully took the body from him, groaning at the weight as she walked slowly towards the coroner, where he took it from her.

"Oh well," He muttered bitterly, walking with her back to the car. He waited for the coroner to climb in the drivers seat, and let Dakota up front so he could sit in the back with Blake. "They know who it is yet?"

Blake looked around, shaking her head before she remembered Rex couldn't see her. "Nope. We're gonna have to get the family to identify it. So hopefully they'll call back on that phone they gave you, or they'll show up at the station." She curled up close to him, draping her legs over one of his. "I'm ready to go to bed.." She mumbled, almost wishing she had a place to call home.

Rex sighed. "I hate dealing dead people and their families.." He mumbled, glanced towards her voice. "Why don't you stay at my place tonight?" He offered with a crooked, blind smile, running his hand gently over her legs.

"Me too.." She said quietly, laying her head on his shoulder. The feeling of his hand moving up her leg was enough to send a chill up her spine. She ran her hand gently over his chest, kissing his neck gently. "We'll see. If we don't have a lot of stuff to get done back at work, I'll crash at your place. If not, I'll probably stay up and work on paperwork until I pass out."

Rex frowned. "Okay," He breathed, tilting his head at the kiss. He scratched at his tattooed arm, felt the car pull to a stop and heard the coroner climb out and grab the body bag.

"Fine, I'll stay with you tonight." She said, hating to see him frown. She snuck a gentle kiss before she climbed out of the car, holding the door open for him before she opened the door to let Dakota out. "Come on, 'Kota."

Rex smirked, met the gentle kiss before climbing out. As soon as the trunk was opened though, Dakota started whimpering. He heard the coroner complain about Dakota needing to leave the body bag around, had a sinking feeling he knew him.
