When he said the car lot she nodded her consent and walked back towards the cab of the truck. When he opened the door she tipped her head in thanks and climbed in out of the rain. The relief of a dry place to rest her ass was nice, but now she could smell all of the scents in the car. The soft, child smell the girl was putting off, the smell of the man, permanently imbedded into the seats. It was a nice smell all in all.
Once he climbed back in she had to make a conscious effort to breathe through her mouth. It was bad enough she could hear his heartbeat, but to smell his blood as well would nobody any good. She sat in silence as he drove, not wanting to anger him anymore than she already had.

The dull drone of the radio and Hailie's soft babbling was enough company, but it would only be days before that babbling was gone again and loneliness settled over him once more. He shook such thoughts away, tapping his fingers on the wheel.
Pulling around to the back of the lot, he parked the truck, letting the woman out and unbuckling Hailie, unlocking the trailer and setting her inside.

Laine watched the town blur as the man sped up. This was life for her. Each city, each life, gone in the blink of an eye. She lost herself in her thoughts as he drove, blocking out the radio and the child. Before she knew it they truck was slowing to a stop though. She looked out at the run-down trailer they were approaching with an unreadable look. It should not surprise her that he lived in such a place, as young as he was, with the responsibility he had.
When he opened the door for her she slid out onto the muddy ground, groaning as she felt the mud creep up around her heels. Ruined, every last inch of it. Nothing to be done about it now though. She waited for him to put his daughter inside the trailer before speaking again. "Thank you for the ride." She held her hand out to him, "Laine."

Tybalt usually didn't shake women's hands. He glanced around, as if afraid someone would catch him, smirked as he took her hand, brown eyes a bit brighter. "Tybalt," He murmured, firm grip releasing her. He tossed a towel over his shoulder, had work to do even in the pouring rain.
"Ah, yeah. Well, if you ever, you know..need anything, you know where to find me." He shrugged. "I have to go finish up a car though."

When he took her hand a shiver ran up her spine. It had been over 50 years since a mortal had done that to her. She smiled when he smirked, thinking that it would be such a shame to drain him. He was one of the cutest guys around. When he gave his name she instantly thought of Shakespeare, and Romeo and Juliet. "Peace, peace I hate the word," she muttered softly. It was one of her favorite lines from the play.
She watched as he walked away, wondering if she should call out to him. Rarely was she so forward so fast. Men usually chased after her. "Dinner," she called out.

Tybakt roughed his hair up with the towel, chuckling flatly at her quoting. He looked over his shoulder when she called out to him, a smile tugging on his lips. "What?" He huffed, lifting the hood of a car half under the car port of the main shop.

She slipped her heels off and ignored the runs in her stockings as she walked towards Tybalt. "I'd like dinner." She leaned against the car, watching him with predatory eyes. No need to tell him he would be dinner. "Nothing fancy. Just a nice little meal after a long day of work." She wanted to ask about the kid's mother, but wasn't sure how to broach the subject. She wanted the little girl out of the picture for the night.

Tybalt shrugged. "Maybe," He huffed. "I'm free on friday night after I drop Hailie off at home." He hadn't even gone out to dinner with somebody for at least a few months.
He unhooked everything, lifting the massive engine from the front of the car with a grunt, setting it down out of the rain.

"Perfect." The kid had a mother. That was good, and him dropping her off before hand made things much easier. She pulled a pen out of her pocket and quick as a snake grabbed his hand. "Call me." She scribbled her number on his forearm and smiled as she turned to leave. Maybe this day wasn't so bad after all. She threw up a hand in goodbye and disappeared back into the rain, heading for the bus stop. She was ready to get home and change.

Tybalt was at least good enough to write he number on paper so he didn't lose it, but he doibted he wpuld ever call. For hours he worked on the car until he was so wet his fingers were too numb to work with the parts.
Finally retreating towards the trailer, he found Hailie asleep on the small bed, hanged his clothes and curled up beside her to sleep.
