She nodded quickly, letting the topic die. Men and their pride. Not that she didn't completely understand it. She herself was too prideful, but John had changed that about her, for a time. Once he was gone though it wasn't long before she resorted to her old ways. Laine let her hand linger a moment longer, stealing the warmth from Tybalt, before letting it slide away to hang at her side. "What will you tell people?" She herself was not sure if she meant the wound on his neck, or the nature of her very being.

Tybalt drew in a breath. "I have no clue." Rubbing at his face warily, he shrugged. "Don't hang with kany friends so, guess I don't have to worry too much. Obviously you're not the only one, so I probably won't have to bother." He rubbed at his neck at the thought, rubbed his hands together. 'Of course she's not the only one. You aren't either, though, got yourself a half brother.' Laughter in his head.

"You're lucky I'm the one you met first. The others aren't exactly friendly. If they can't drain you, they destroy you." Honestly, it was the best way to go about it. Anything not dead was a threat, could get you killed. Destroying anyone that knew was the only way to stay safe. It was too late for that with Tybalt though. She was emotionally attached, and now had to be careful. She could not have another death on her hands, not like that.

Tybalt shrugged a bit. "Maybe," He breathed, distracted by the laughter. It had never bothered him until he found out he wasn't human. But whatever it was sure wasn't...good natured. He tapped his fingers on his legs in thought, finally sighed. He should get back to work, but honestly he really didn't want to.

Laine played with the hem of her shirt, pulling at it distractedly. The sun was up now and she was stuck at home unless it became cloudy later. Tybalt would leave soon though, go to work, or home. It would leave her alone, again. Lately being alone made her lost, as if she didn't know where she was, why she was here. Being born over a hundred years ago didn't help that though. Her time had come and gone, yet here she was. Watching a wispy cloud shade the sun slightly she spoke, "will I see you again?"
