Monroe couldn't help but kiss him back, somewhere deep inside of him he was still falling for Zain, still wanted him more than anything. "How long does sorry last, Zain? Until you get pissed off and hit me again? Until someone else comes along and you look at them and want them? Until you get drunk or high again? I can't-.. I can't pretend I don't care for you. I just can't. But I also can't let you just keep hurting me like this.. If you want me, then stay with me. If not, I'll be at home finishing my school work. Because we never had anything, Zain.. I have you my necklace and you gave me a dog. That's it. No one was ever committed to anything.." He pulled away slowly, biting his lip as he looked around, still crying.

"I'm not gonna share you, Zain. I'm sorry."

Zain looked down, touched the necklace gently. "You don't have to share me, Monroe..." He whispered. "I dunno. I can't-...fuck I don't know..." He cried, gently sitting Monroe back down. He drew him into his lap, stroking his hair. "Cry baby it's okay... Imma be better.. I promise..." His voice wavered with his own soft crying and he tugged him tighter. "I'm sorry I'm such a mess.." He rasped brokenly. "I'm sorry I can't be more to you... Please.. Just-..." He swallowed, rubbing Monroe's back.

"You can be everything if you want to, Zain.. I'm sorry for all the mean things I said.. I know you're trying. I just hurts when you keep pushing me away.. I don't wanna be a one night stand, Zain.. I want to mean as much to you as you do to me.." He mumbled, curling as close as he could with his broken leg. He leaned against him, tears still falling down his cheeks as he gently grabbed Zain's jaw, pulling him close. He kissed him slowly, thinking about how the first time they kissed, his breath tasted of green apple bubblegum. He wrapped his arms tightly around his neck, drawing the kiss out as long as he could.

"Please don't go.." He pleaded, looking up at him. "I need you, Zain.. It doesn't make any sense to me, but I need you.."

"I'm not going nowhere Monroe.." He whispered. "I'm just so afraid of hurting you.. You can't let me hurt you no matter how mad I get baby..." He bit down hard on his lip until he tasted blood. He met the kiss, tongue tracing Monroe's lip gently. He hugged him close, a hand finding the back of his neck, and just rocked him gently. "'M sorry I got drunk last night..." He whispered, voice cracking. And then he broke.

Monroe moved as carefully as he could, not caring if it hurt him or not. He got a leg on either side of him, sitting carefully in his lap. He wrapped his arms tightly around his neck, gently running his fingers through his hair as he rocked gently. "Everything's going to be okay, Zain.. Everything's gonna be alright.." He said quietly, still stroking his hair. He wrapped his arms tighter around his neck, hugging him as close as he could.

"Just cry if you have to.. It's okay.. I'm not gonna let go, baby.." He buried his face in Zain's neck, pressing close to him to hopefully comfort him. All he could do was hope he didn't throw him off his lap. He closed his eyes, hugging him tightly. "It's alright.."

Zain worked his trembling jaw, hugging him tight despite the restrictions of the brace. He buried his face as he cried. "I'm sorry I hurt you..." He whimlered. Monroe wasn't the only one who had killed people. He drew in a quick breath. "I'm sorry..." But he felt like he couldn't say it enough, breaths shuddering until he gagged faintly. He cleared his throat, drawing in a deep breath, another muffled apology passing his lips. Monroe didn't understand exactly how broken he was, had not even seen him at his worst.

Monroe hugged him tighter, gently running his fingers through his hair. He said he wasn't going to let go, and he meant it. "I forgive you, Zain.. It was a mistake, okay? Just forget about it, okay?" He kissed his cheek, pulling back to look at him. He reached up, gently stroking his cheek as he watched him, searching his face.

"Everything's gonna be okay, Zain. Why don't you just go home and take a nap? Maybe you'll feel better." He suggested, gently running his hands over his shoulders. He moved so he was sitting beside him, the pressure he was putting on his leg starting to hurt. "And then maybe I can meet you for dinner or something, okay? Sound good?" He reached up, slowly stroking his hair again.

"O-..okay.." He whispered, felt like a fucking child. He ran his hands through his hair with a gusty breath, kissed Monroe goodbye. He helped him up and wherever he needed to be off to then went back to the apartment and climbed inti his bed, crying softly. Adaleah must have been home. Zain never cried, and suddenly she was crawling in beside him, hugging him close. "It's okay Zain... Go to sleep.."

Monroe couldn't help but feel like he was being pushed away again, but didn't say anything. He just made his way home with his head down, his arms and leg tired by the time he got there. He was too exhausted to make it up the stairs that he laid down on one of the porch swings, curling up on it. He started to cry all over again, feeling like he was an idiot and a fuck up, wishing he had actually died when he crashed his car. 'Anything is better than this..' He thought before he actually fell asleep, his arms wrapped tightly around himself.

Zain grunted as someone nudged him awake. "You were screaming, Zain..." Adaleah murmured, handing him a mug of tea. He sat up, rubbing at his face, and sipped at it. "Lemme... Know when Monroe gets here.. Please," He begged.

"I will, go back to sleep Zain." She pulled his blankets up, leaving the room.
