Monroe had just gotten back from the doctor, them telling him his scans and such were normal. He was lucky he wasn't kicked out for Zain abusing his dad, but they were working him to the bone, despite his broken leg. He couldn't want until his cast was off, or he got a boot. The doctor said he might have to learn how to walk all over again, which he wasn't very happy about.

He pushed open the door to the frozen yogurt shop and made his way to the counter. He ordered a malt, and the girl at the register carried it to a table for him. He sat down carefully, looking up as Luc walked in.

"Hey. What did the doctor say?" Luc asked, sitting down across from him.

"I'm broken but I'll be fine." He said with a shrug. "What about you?"

"I'm fine.. My back's feeling better and my wrist is not as bad. I can wiggle my fingers now." He said, holding out his broken wrist. Monroe just nodded, taking a sip of his shake.

Zain wandered into the frozen yogurt shop, fixing his brace beneath his shirt. Yellow eyes glanced up and looked around, and he smiled coyly at a girl behind the counter before ordering a frozen yogurt. He looked over at Monroe, then Lucas, raising an eyebrow in question, eyes glowing faintly again. Without an introduction, he dropped down at their table. "Who's he?" He questioned bluntly as he took a bite.

Monroe looked over as he sat down, raising an eyebrow at him. "Lucas." He said flatly, taking another sip out of his malt before he looked out the window.

"And he's the complete and utterly perfect closest-to-God-you've-ever-slept-with guy you talk to much about?" Lucas asked, reaching over to take his malt. He took a sip out of it before handing it back.

"Give or take." Monroe said, drinking out of his cup again. "Isn't your prom coming up?"

"Yeah.. Some time this month, I think. I dunno." Luc said with a shrug.

"I'll look for your obituary the day after, then." Monroe smirked, ducking from the pen flung at him.

Zain watched them curiously, shrugged. The day after staying with Monroe he had gone back home and spent the day with his cousins. He hadn't talked to him since, had never done the whole relationship thing, didn't know how to deal with what he had done wrong. He had finally cracked, felt so stupid for the getting drunk and kissing strippers at the bar. It hadn't gone any further, but he felt horrible. Beig an encantado didn't help. All he had wanted was to prove his loyalty to Monroe, and he had fucked it up by drinking, by panicking.

"I'm not going to die." Luc said, rolling his eyes.

"Oh come on. You stole the star football player's heart. AFTER you fucked the biggest jerk in the school-"

"Against my will.."

"-and now, you're fucking him. AND hiding it. From everyone in the school. I think you're gonna end up dead before the night's over. And get over it, would you? I fucked you. Big deal." Monroe rolled his eyes. Luc just sighed, looking out the window. "Aw, poor Lucas."

"I gotta get to work." Luc mumbled, and Monroe didn't say anything, knew the boy was working himself to death. But he wanted to die, so it wasn't much of a problem on Luc's part. He watched the boy leave before he drank from his malt again.

Zain gritted his teeth absently. "You were sleeping with him?" He mumbled. But, it was no surprise... Right? He wasn't any better..maybe Monroe's dad was right...maybe he really was nothing mire than a sex and drug addicted whore.
He took another bite of his yogurt, rubbed at his neck, unaware of the mark somebody had left last night. He had a horrible hang over, gazed over at Monroe with glowing yellow eyes. He watched the guy leave absently, shrugged again, and fixed the brace on his wrist.

"I was. Like, four months ago before he got a boyfriend." He said flatly. But he was too angry to be allured by his eyes. "It must be nice to have a boyfriend. Someone who isn't sleeping around behind his back." He bit back tears, glaring at Zain. He finally got fed up and threw his cup at him. He grabbed his crutches and started out the door, tears stinging his eyes. He kept telling himself he should have known better than to trust Zain, to trust anyone. Life wasn't a fairy tale.

He started down the sidewalk, glaring at every couple he passed. 'Everyone's nothing but a fucking cheating lying bastard.' He thought, then shortly after: 'He wasn't even yours so shut the fuck up about it, crybaby.'

Zain's eyebrows furrowed, wincing as the cup was thrown. He pushed his chair back and moved after him. "Monroe I-...I can explain, please... I didn't mean to...all I wanted was a fucking loyal relationship..." He caught up to him, reached out and touched his cheek. "I dunno why I made out with them okay? I was buzzed and scared and didn't knkw what to do when I fucked things up with you.. I just-" But he realized there was no exuse. He cared about Monroe, liked him. A lot. But cheating was cheating, whether they were official or not.. He shouldn't have done it, couldn't take it back...had no valid excuse.

"THAT'S ALWAYS THE EXCUSE!" He screamed, pulling away from him. "You're the only fucking person I EVER liked! And I was fucking foolish to ever think that you would be happy enough with me! There's always someone better, isn't there?!" He finally started crying, barely able to hold himself up.

"I was fucking stupid, okay? All I ever had with you was a one night stand.. That's all it's ever gonna fucking be, Zain.. If you can lure them in, you're gonna do it. You're never going to change.." He started walking again, but didn't get far before he had to sit down on a bench, crying harder. He felt like a fool, like he should have known better. He probably would have been smarter sticking his hand in a fire a second time to see if it burned.

Zain wandered after him, ignoring the warning kingering in his ear, that Monroe was far more dangerous than he seemed. He sat down beside him. "I am happy enough with you..." He mumbled. "That's the problem...I was avoiding you and I couldn't-...I couldn't. Cope with the thought that it was over. But I'm sorry that I'm nothing more than a one night stand to you, god damn." He glared at him, but leaned closer anyway, reache a hand to try and brush his tears away..
