Monroe smiled, gently running his fingers over Zain's jaw. He could honestly say that all he wanted was Zain. Everything about him was so utterly perfect. He laid his head back on the bed, closing his eyes. He could feel his arm grow warm again with blood, but kept it close to his stomach. He had no desire to move from where he was. "You still want that sub?" He asked, then yawned.

"Mm, yes.." He complained. "And I wanna go crawl into bed with you... They'd better let me leave tonight..." He was trying to be lighthearted, laced their fingers together tighter.

Monroe smiled, looking up at him. He felt around for his phone, but it was back in his pants at home. He sighed, looking down to see the big dark red spot on his bandage. He hugged it close to him again, praying Zain didn't see. "Maybe when Luc comes back, he can go and get us something. Because I feel like crawling back into bed too."

"Kay..." Zain drawled, stretching carefully with a wince. He had clearly screwed his back up again, and now wished her hadn't taken his brace off. Pulling the ice from his chest because it was getting far to cold, he set it on the little table next to his water.

"So.. If I scratch you, you won't feel it?" He asked, reaching over to touch his cold chest. He ran his fingers slowly over his chest, looking up at him. "You know.. I think I almost miss that defiant look you had in your eye the first day we met.. You're seriously the best I've ever been with. You know, in bed.. But you're my first real boyfriend.." He reached over for his hand, messing with it quietly. "But you're still the best everything.."

Zain smirked, shaking his head. He watched him take his hand. "I've always been defiant.. I guess you just... Were right for me. I've never done this either, Monroe.. You're my first real relationship." He smiled.

Monroe just smiled. "Yeah.. Maybe." He looked thoughtfully at their hands, thinking over what he wanted to say before he actually said it. "I just.. want this to work.." He said quietly, slowly running his fingers over his hand before he looked up at him. "I never actually thought I might be falling in love with someone.. That I could care for someone despite everything we've gone through.. But it just makes me want you more.." He let go of his hand to press his hand to his arm, hoping the bleeding would stop before he actually got dizzy. "I.. I think I love you, Zain.."

"It will work.." He insisted. He reached out, pulling Monroe gently towards the bed. "I know...I've never been so scared or excited in my life.." Leaning up for a kiss, he let out a soft breath. "I fell in love the moment I saw you.. Now go get some stitches in that arm, 'kay..? I'll still be here.."

Monroe kissed him softly, looking over at him when he said he'd fallen in love when he first saw him. "I can't go get stitches.." He breathed, looking down at the floor. He pulled the arm away, watching it slowly grow redder with blood. "They're ready to commit me.. If they know I did this, they're gonna put me under.. And I don't have the heart to blame it on Lucas and I sure as hell aren't gonna blame it on you.." He hugged it close again, praying it stopped.
