"Hey, babe." Monroe said quietly, getting up carefully to kiss the corner of his mouth before he sat back down. He looked him over, wondering what happened. But he didn't ask. He would just assume he started fighting. "Did the voices go away...?" He asked hesitantly.

Zain bit his lip, shruggd. "Sure did when I got hit by a car," He muttered. "They gave me stuff...so I hope.."

"My guess was going to be train, but yeah, I can see car.." He said, referring to the cuts and scrapes. He reached over, taking his hand gently. He leaned over, laying his head on the bed, his bandaged arm around his abdomen. He closed his eyes, swinging his casted leg back and forth above the floor.

Zain took his hand gently, hanging on to it. "I love you.." He whispered, as if testing to see that the words still sounded alright. He smiled faintly, then frowned. "What happened to your arm..?"

"I love you too." Monroe said quietly, squeezing his hand gently. Something about hearing the words from Zain made everything alright again. He looked over at him when he questioned what was wrong with his arm. "Took a razor blade to it. Made me forget about my back." He said with a shrug. He pulled Zain's arm closer, kissing his wrist gently.

Zain's eyebrows furrowed, but he didn't say anything more,didn't want to fight. He watched him kiss his wrist, eyeing the bruises on it warily. He had felt them take the cuffs off, but didn't remember them being out on.

Monroe looked up at him, gently running his thumb over his hand. "I only did it because I didn't wanna be high or drunk and I didn't know what else to do.. I'm not good under pressure." He mumbled, looking over at the wall. "I just don't like seeing you hurt and knowing that I can't make it better.. I wanna be able to make it better, and I don't know how.."

"You did the right thing, okay..?" He ran a tattooed hand up and down Monroe's arm. "Because they got me some medication and told me I have the parasite, and if it at least keeps it at bay until they find a way to deal with it, then I can leave in the morning and we can get on with our lives.." He leaned over for a gentle kiss, guiding Monroe's face close. "You're not always gonna be able to help me baby.. But I'm going to be here for you no matter what... I promise.."

Monroe kissed him gently, reaching up to thread his fingers into his hair. It hurt, hearing that he couldn't help him. That's all he wanted was to be able to make Zain better. "I'm not gonna ever stop trying to help you, Zain.. And I don't want anyone else.. I know you think I want Lucas, but I don't.. Maybe I did before you came along but he's got nothing on you.. I want to be with you, and only you." He kissed him gently, running his fingers slowly over his chest.

Zain bit his lip, smiled faintly. "That's all I want.." He whispered. Still, he didn't want to stay here tonight, eyed the clock. Hopefully in a few hours they would release him. The nurse said they were already crammed. He wasn't injured much worse than before.
