She watched as his rough hands reclaimed the cigarette and finished it off. She had an odd fascination with hands. No matter what the person looked like, if they had ugly hands she wanted nothing to do with them. When he opened the door for her she smiled and thanked him before entering. She asked the waiter for a booth and they were led there straight away. She was itching to get back to his place.
As a rule she never brought anyone to her place. Only other vamps had ever seen the inside of her house, and she planned to keep it that way. All she needed was someone claiming one of her victims had been there, and then she was dead. She barely looked at the menu as she ordered, knowing she couldn't eat it anyway. She would have to fake it all. Dessert was what she was looking forward to.

Tybalt ordered a water and salad, honestly not that hungry. He stretched his legs some as he studied others in silence. It was rare for him to eat out, he preferred sticking to himself or working at the lot. He got a surprising amount of work, but not much more money than to barely support himself.
Still, he stuck to what he loved and what he had known since he was raised, and that was fixing and selling vehicles. Glancing up at her, he raised an eyebrow. "So..how was your week?"

Laine picked at a breadstick while they waited. Mainly she just smuggled the pieces into a bag in her purse for Dante once she got home. She would eventually do the same with her chicken carbonara, but no need for Tybalt to know that. She didn't bother looking around at the other occupants of the restaurant, she was not on the prowl tonight.
When the man spoke she almost jumped. She was admittedly uneasy having a dinner date with dinner, and was not sure how to act. Being herself was not the right way to go, that was for sure. "Same old same old. Asshole of a tattoo artist, an artist I hardly see, customers being outrageous, a boss that is slightly mental. Nothing exciting. You?"

Tybalt chuckled, smiling crookedly at the words. "Ah, bitch ex wife taking a daughter I don't want to give up, customers complaints and broken cars." He shrugged faintly, leaned back, not sure why he wasn't hungry.
"Same old," Brown eyes were amused, sarcasm thick but controlled as if he was trying to behave. Which was rare. He sighed faintly, glancing at the ceiling. "Surprised the shop is even still running."

Laine listened with sympathy. Children always complicated things, no matter what. She could hear in his voice how much he hated giving her up to her mother. There was a bitterness there. She flagged down a waiter when he was done talking and ordered a margarita. She couldn't eat, but she sure as hell could get a slight buzz from the alcohol.
"Well, everyone needs to get their car fixed at some point in time, and you are the best mechanic in town." She wasn't just flattering him either. Everybody she dealt with took their business to Tybalt. She got her drink and downed half of it in one gulp. Now came a choice, ditzy drunk girl, or tipsy girl in need of a ride and place to crash.

"Yeah." He drummed his fingers on the table, glanced her way again. "Guess that's a plus side to being the only place in town." At least he had a few regulars, too stubborn to give up their crappy cars.
He rubbed at his face warily. "You know, I haven't been out in public like this for a long time."

Startled blue eyes gazed at him from over the rim of the glass. Hard to believe he wasn't being wined and dined every night. He owned his own business, maybe not the most glamorous type, but his own none the less. That was a big thing for one so young. Looking away nervously she signaled for another wile their waitress brought the food. "What do you mean, 'like this'?"

Tybalt shrugged. "Like, with someone." He shrugged. "Nit a real big people person anymore. He got the job done and that was that. "This isn't gonna go anywhere you know," He offered quite blandly. "I'm nit interested in another relationship. I can't even keep my own shit together."
He moved his straw aroubd in his glass of water with a finger, the underside of the nails still dark, as if stained or impossible to keep completely cleab with such constant work.

She supposed that was understandable. He seemed harsh, abrasive. Not many people wanted to cuddle up with sandpaper. His next statement almost made her gag on her drink though. She had the forethought to use it in her act though. With slightly slurring speech she responded to him. :oh goodness. I'm not looking for a relationship either." She giggled slightly, eyes glassy. "I am not one you would want a relationship with anyway."
She had slipped about half of her meal into a bag in her purse and the check was laying on the table. She needed to gauge where he was on all of this though. She needed a way back to his place. Digging in her purse she finally found her debit card and slipped it onto the table.

Tybalt glanced up at her. "You shouldn't drink so much you know, not if you're walking home alone." He sighed, leaning back again as the waitor came to take the card and charge the order.
"I can give you a ride home if you need...but I only got a bike with no helmets." He glanced up as the guy brought the card back again and handed her a receipt.
