Deacon just sat in the hallway, his knees drawn up to his chest as he sobbed. Ace was trying to comfort him as best he could without touching him.

"They're gonna try and fix him, Deacon.. They're doing what they can.." He whispered, hating to see Deacon cry.

"Bandit's not even old enough to remember him, Ace.. This isn't a matter of life and death. It's a matter of when they've finally had enough and decide to send him to hell." He muttered, then started to sob again, the boy sighing as he curled up next to him. He could feet Mat pacing, knew that he, Death and the boy were all waiting for them to say 'well, the gig is up.'

Trez was led down the hall, snapping angrily when they said they weren't sure they could offer the proper transplants to try and help. "He's fucking in there on a machine! You can't just sit there and watch!" He snarled breathlessly.
The nurse pointed at the metal medical bracelet around his wrist. "Sir, calm down. We can't deal with you having a seizure right now."
"Fuck me if I'm gonna calm down, do something and fix him!" He began to pace angrily, had been told nothing more than that Connor's vitals were failing and they had him on life support.

Deacon looked up as one of the nurses crouched in front of him, telling him they couldn't do anything. "What do you mean?! I've given you guys more money- MY DAUGHTER NEEDS HER DAD, AND YOU'RE SAYING YOU CAN'T HELP HIM?!" He screamed, ready to lunge at her. Ace, terrified at the screaming, slinked away. "You're going to fucking help him. If it's the last thing you do, you're going to help him. I don't care if it's long enough for him to tell her goodbye. You're going to help him."

"We can't do anything.." She said quietly. "He's on life support-"

"You're going to help him, and you're going to like it." He threatened, his eyes slowly growing black.

Trez fisted his hands. "Life support doesn't do a damn thing if he's just laying there like a corpse! He has a fucking family, he's supposed to get married! I don't care where the fucking line says he has to wait damnit! I watched my fucking brother die. You wamt money? Take it damnit!" He nearly tripped over Deacon, Connor had warned him to stay clear, and he stepped back, drawing in a breath. The nurses.backed off, insisting they would try and slip the others for a loop.

Trez bit his lip, running a hand through his hair in disbelief, eyes glimmering with tears. "I worked my damn ass off to keel that kid alive.." He choked, looking down at his boyfriend. "Hey...you wanna go see him..?"

"No kidding.." Deacon mumbled, moving over a bit. He chewed on one of his snakebites, thinking of how many times he had been here with him holding his hand, telling him it was going to be okay. And now all he could tell him was that he loved him and Bandit loved him and hoped for the best.

"I guess.." He breathed, pulling himself to his feet. Had he not known that Trez was one of Connor's friends, he might have been jealous considering how attractive he was. He didn't want to see him like that, but also didn't want him to go without telling him at least one more time that he loved him. He followed Trez, keeping his head down as he choked back tears.

Trez bit his lip, following. "I'd ah...pat you on the back or something... But Con told me that wasn't a good idea.." He stepped aside for Deacon as he opened the door, swallowed. There was blood flaked across his throat and chin from coughing it up, but he was still, a tube down his throat, arms tied down. A machine forced his lungs to rise and fall, heart to pump. Without them he wouldn't even be alive. Trez drew in a breath, looking away.

Deacon forced a smile, shaking his head. "Yeah, I wouldn't touch me.." He said quietly, looking over sadly at Connor. He didn't know what ticked him off more- the fact that they claimed they couldn't do anything for him, or that they hadn't had the decency to even clean him up. He grabbed a few paper towels, walking to the sink to dampen them before he walked over to Connor, gently wiping the blood off of him. He tossed them away, leaning down to kiss his forehead before he took his hand, gently running his fingers over it. It killed him to see him like that, and to know almost without a doubt that Connor was gone.

Trez watched him lift Connor's still hand, and his teeth gritted. "Fuck this, they're gonna do something to try and fix him." He left the room angrily, and moments later the was angry shouting just down the hall, then silence. After awhile it was nothing but a dull murmur, Trez down to practically begging.

"I love you so much.. Bandit loves you too.." He breathed, leaning down to kiss his forehead. He started crying all over again, clinging to his hand. His knees gave out and he sank to the floor, leaning against Connor's bed as he sobbed, knowing pleading would do no good. They hadn't done anything so far, they wouldn't do anything now. 'Why can't you just let me keep him? You know no one wants this job. Why can't I just have him? He's all I want.. This isn't fair..' He clung to Connor's hand, holding it close to him.

"I'm so sorry I couldn't do anything for you, Connor.. I tried.." He breathed. He knew they couldn't take his organs; his was probably worse than Connor's were.

Trez wandered back in, hanging back to give him some privacy. He just watched. Connor had so much more going for him than he ever did before...
"They have someone who died ofa shot wound to the head... He's a perfect blood match..all healthy organs, and signed up to donate... They said they'll do a series of surgeries... Not list it. But if it fails they-..they won't be able to save him. He won't have the blood, strength.."
