Monroe nodded, yawning as he turned over to stretch. He raised his arms above his head, his shirt hiking up. He whimpered, arching his back before he lowered his arms, fixing his shirt. "I hate school of any kind. Which is ironic considering I both go to college and work at the high school." He shrugged, turning back over to wrap his arms around Zain and pull himself close. "You're really warm.." He said, burying his face in Zain's chest.

"That is ironic.." He murmured, hugged him close. "It's cos I've been sleeping under the blankets.."

'Don't fuck it up whore, he doesn't care.'

Zain bit his lip, buried his face against his hair, drawing in a breath. "Mm.."

Monroe just snuggled close, hugging Zain tightly. He was beyond glad that he wasn't being so tense and pushing him away. He just wanted for Zain to want him, was all. "I don't wanna move.." He mumbled, closing his eyes. He opened them a second later, reaching over to stroke Zain's cheek. "I promise I won't be jealous anymore of you being with other people.." He said quietly, even if it killed him to say that. Zain wasn't his so he had no right to be jealous.

"Don't move then," He mumbled with a yawn, bit his lip and opened his eyes at the touch, the words. "I don't want to be with anyone else, Monroe.. What I told your father was true.. The other night was just a mistake, I ignored Skylar and drank to much and as usual my fucked head did what it wanted... I never would have done that it I had the ability to think, baby.. Even if I-...I'm a whore, or can never keep a relationship...even...if I...have a problem with abuse... I really want to make this more.. Make you more..." He bit his lip, searching his face in confusion. "I've never felt like this before.."

"I know.." He mumbled, slowly tracing his fingers along his jaw. He bit his lip, trying not to let it show how much this really hurt him. "But I can't keep getting upset over things.. that you can't help. I-.. you aren't mine and I'm going to get that though my thick skull. But I just.. cant handle the pain anymore.. I can't keep getting mad because you are what you are. It's not fair to either of us.. If it works, fine. But I'm not going to go insane on a crazy whim.. No matter how much that I-.. that I think I love you.."

Zain bit his lip. "I think I love you too..." He whispered. "And I'm so sorry I let that happen the other night...I'm so sorry I hit you and pushed you around..." He jaw trembled and he let out a breath, breaking eye contact in shame. He licked his lips. "I want this to work.."

Monroe gently pulled Zain's face to his, kissing him deeply. "I forgive you, Zain.. It's okay. I want this to work just as much as you. But it's not gonna work until things change. And that's going to take awhile. It doesn't mean I care for you any less. It just means I don't want either of us getting hurt, okay?" He gently stroked his cheek, looking over at him. "Everything's gonna be okay, Zain.. It's just going to take a lot of time and effort.."

Zain bit his lip after the kiss was broken, nodded. "Okay.." He couldn't help wondering if he was the only one of the two who had done something like that since they had met in the mall.

'Of course. Even a guy like him can handle it better,' that same voice sneered. He ignored it, shifting his weight.

Monroe reached up, gently messing with the necklace around Zain's neck. He could only assume they were both serious about this working. Zain had kept the necklace around his neck, and Monroe had kept Captain. He just hoped in the end it didn't end up almost killing them like it had last time. "You're the only person I would have killed myself for.." He said quietly, turning the half of the charm over. "And I still would, if you asked me to.." He bit his lip, still playing with the necklace.

Zain closed his eyes as Monroe played with the necklace, bit his lip. "No...that was wrong, Monroe... I let my anger get the best of me.." He sighed. "I'm a mess.... I'm so afraid of hurting you, Monroe..." He swallowed.
