Monroe met the kiss softly, leaning closer to Zain. "I don't want you to be Lucas, Zain.. I want you to be you.. And I'm not still hung up on him.. I don't care if he lives or dies." He bit his lip, watching Zain. He felt bad, knowing he had hurt him. He reached over once he had his brace on, pulling him over for another slow kiss, his hand cupping his cheek gently. "No one will ever be more important than you, Zain.. No one.. I never told anyone I loved them before.. But I told you. Please don't be mad, Zain.." He ran his fingers slowly over his cheek.

"You can come stay over tonight.. That's why we have a guest room. For people like Luc."

Zain kissed back somewhat hesitantly. Every time to tried going for more that voice returned. And he didn't want Monroe mad for something that was scaring even him. But he also wasn't sure he wanted to believe him, so terrified of being hurt. He worked his jaw, gazing down into his lap, knew he probably wasn't even welcome in their home after his snap at Monroe's father. "Okay..." He whispered, taking Monroe's fingers, playing with them gently.

Monroe looked over at their hands, and it wasn't long before his phone rang, his mother telling him she was there to get him. He got up carefully, waiting to see if Zain was coming before he started out the door. He opened the back door, putting his crutches in.

"Luc's gotta sleep over." He told his mom, sliding in.

"Why?"

"I don't know. He's stupid. But Monroe's staying over."

"That's fine, just keep him from your father."

"I will."

Zain got up and followed him out, glancing at Leah on the way to the door. He slid into the back with Monroe, setting the shirt he had grabbed in his lap. He eyed Monroe's mother warily, had never had a thing for parents, considering he'd never really had any, just an abusive uncle and rape every night of his childhood. He shifted his weight.

Monroe fished around the back seat for his iPod, pulling it out with his earphones. He hated listening to his mom's music. It was like torture. He handed Zain one of the earphones, then shuffled through his iPod until he found 'Dirt Room' by Blue October. He looked out the window, nodding his head to the music. He rested his hand gently in Zain's lap, rubbing his leg slowly.

Zain took it and put it in, covered Monroe's hand with his own, managing a faint smile his way. He laced their fingers together, pulling his hand up to kiss the back of it gently.

Monroe smiled at the kiss on his hand, squeezing Zain's gently. He leaned over, kissing his jaw softly. He laid his head on Zain's shoulder, hoping it didn't hurt him. He closed his eyes, getting comfortable. But just as he got comfortable, the car stopped. He looked up to see they were home, and Luc had beat them there. He waited for Zain to get out before he got out carefully.

Zain climbed out quietly, scratching at the back of a tattooed hand. "I'm white as fuck," He complained absently, glanced at Lucas with slight jealousy, stature rather protective as he stuck close to Monroe.

"My junk has seen more sun than you." He teased, making his way up to the steps carefully. Luc got up to help him, but Monroe shook his head. "What happened to your face?"

"My dad. They had to put my tooth back in." Luc said quietly, eyeing Monroe warily before he started inside.

"Ow. Mom said you're taking the guest room cause Zain's sleeping with me." He told him as he got inside. "It's the room next to Dash's."

"Okay.." Luc mumbled, making his way upstairs.

Zain smirked. "So?" He complained. He watched Luc go, wondering why he wasn't staying with that boyfriend of his. He shrugged it off, sticking close to Monroe and helping him when needed.
