Monroe looked over at him worriedly, tears forming in his eyes. "I do love you.." He mumbled, shrinking away once Zain had let go of him. He wrapped his arms around himself, sitting up. He honestly didn't think he could deal with Zain if he kept hurting him. But he also knew he couldn't leave. He was falling in love with Zain, dangerous or not. "Zain, baby.." He reached for him, gently stroking his hair. He pryed his fingers away from his scalp, biting his lip. "Baby.. It's okay.. It's okay.."

"Make it stop.." Zain choked, eyes blazing a vibrant gold as he rocked forward some, bringing his hands right back up to his head again, covering his ears. He was tense, breaths rugged. "I'm not a monster...." He insisted, mumbling to himself before he tensed up completely. "I'm sorry!"

Monroe worked his way to him, despite his back aching horribly and his leg hurting. He wrapped his arms carefully around him, hugging him tightly. "You're not a monster, Zain. There's nothing wrong with you, okay? You're perfect and amazing and.. please don't think that.. You aren't a monster.." He pleaded, tears falling down his cheeks. "I love you, okay? I love you.." He mumbled brokenly.

Zain shuddered in Monroe's arms, shook his head. 'What's wrong? You actually believe him?! He let you drive yourself into a tree, what kind of boyfriend is that?'
"My fault... Didn't wanna live... Worthless..." He dragged his nails down his face, hands fisting. "SHUT UP!" Curling up, he buried his face in Monroe's chest, crying.

Monroe hugged him close, slowly rubbing his back. He ran his fingers through his hair with his other hand, rocking him gently side to side. He didn't understand what was going on, and he wasn't sure he wanted to. He bit his lip, then kissed the top of Zain's head. "Everything's gonna be okay, Zain.." He said quietly, hugging him close. He gently played with the ends of his hair, closing his eyes.

"N-no...no, no..." He mumbled brokenly, drawing in quick breaths, heart racing. He clung to Monroe's shirt, but eventually grew quiet and rubbed at his face as he calmed down. He ran his fingers over Monroe's chest, tears falling down his cheeks in confusion.

Monroe held him close, gently running his hands over his back. He hoped it was making him feel a little better. He tipped his chin back, gently wiping his tears away. He kissed his forehead gently, hugging him close. He laid carefully back, reaching over to rub his back gently. "Just come lay down, okay? Everything's going to be okay.." He said quietly, a yawn passing his lips. He hoped he didn't fall asleep, or he would be stuck here for the night.

Zain curled up close. "I don't-..." He swallowed brokenly, not sure what had happened. Was he completely losing his mind? His jaw trembled and he closed his eyes, drawing in a slow breath, an arm draped over Monroe, hair clinging to his forehead.

Monroe hugged him close, closing his eyes. "You're not a monster, Zain.. There's not a thing wrong with you. Maybe you just need a little help is all." He said quietly, reaching up to run his fingers through Zain's hair. He shifted his weight, his back not feeling any better. He just played with Zain's hair, hoping it would either make him feel better, or put him to sleep. Anything to make he voices stop.

"Yes I am..." He whispered. But he didn't say anything else, didn't open his eyes. He ran a shaking hand over his face, then dropped it, swallowing uneasily as he tried focusing on the soothing touch. He was still tired from lack of a good sleep. And luckily, the parasite wasn't far enough along to keep him up. His breaths slowed further, body beginning to relax as he finally started to drift off.
