[FEST] The Great Escape

Trez laughed softly, ruffling Sean's hair as he jumped onstage. He glanced over as Brandon touched his arm. "Just take it easy if you need to, okay? We don't need you having a seizure on our first come back gig." He smiled weakly, wandering towards his drums and looking outat the crowd. Trez bit his lip. He knew the seizures were getting scarily worse. But he also knew there was a guy out there, waiting to see if they were good enough to get back inthe game, go on tour.

He grabbed his guitar and plugged it in, handing the microphone to Sean while Zayne got his bass ready.

"How're we doing today?"

Sean's voice rang out and Trez smiled, realizing how much he really did miss this.

"Aren't they so cute up there?!" Aubri asked, nudging Harper. Harper just smiled, watching Trez intently. She knew they were bound to be good; all four of them were so confident. Harper pushed her hands further into her pockets, listening to Aubri ramble on about the shy girl they had been introduced to, and how odd she was. "I mean, she's almost as quiet as Zayne. And he don't know how to talk. Plus she's always messing with her hands and looking down at he ground like it's going somewhere." She said, shifting her weight.

"That's not really anyone's place to judge her, Bee. Maybe she's just shy." Harper said, waving when Trez looked their way.

"I don't care! She's weird!" Aubri said, then smiled up at the boys.

"You're weird too, to be fair. I mean.. You temporarily dyed your highlights pink tonight. That's kinda strange."

"Says the girl who dresses like a boy. And why aren't you and Trez together already? He's hot as fuck. And he obviously likes you."

"I doubt he likes me like that, Bee."

"Here's your soda.." AJ said quietly, handing Harper the cup.

"Thanks." She said with a smile, taking a sip of it.

Trez waved as he spotted them, watched Sean scan the crowd.

Xander dropped down beside Aubri with a yawn, leaning back "Quite a crowd," He murmured.

Trez finished setting up the other mics and took a step back, tuning his guitar and playing a scale for show. He smirked at some of the shouts in the audience, shook his head.

"So, I don't know if he was able to make it tonight or not," Sean spoke through the microphone. "But this song here is for a boy who's really stolen my heart in the past few weeks." He smiled, and Trez began the introduction to the song.

Harper looked over, watching Aubri sit in his lap. "Oh. Who's the love bird now?" She teased, and was paid back by being nearly pants-ed.

"Who's he talking about..?" AJ asked quietly, looking over at Harper. Harper swallowed the soda she had in her mouth, leaning close so the other girl could hear her.

"Bee's cousin Nash. He's in the hospital." She explained, and AJ nodded. She looked down, seeing that Aubri was video chatting with Nash so he could see the show. She nudged AJ, pointing to Aubri before she turned her attention back to Trez, chewing on her lip. She glanced over at AJ to see she was looking from one boy to the next, her gaze lingering the longest on Zayne.

Xander smiled, wrapping his arms around her waist gently. He rested his head on her shoulder as he listened to them worked through the first song without a problem at all.

Trez smiled as he played, singing his backups and glancing around occasionally. He was careful not to stress himself too much, and they had avoided using flashing lights tonight just to stay safe. He wandered a bit as he played, ruffled Zayne's hair when he passed him and stuck out his tongue.

Sean was finishing up the vocal part,leavig Trez with the end measures of guitar, trying to avoid Sean's kiss on the cheek. He finished the part, swatting Sean away discreetly with a crooked smile.

Harper clapped when the song ended, holding her cup carefully. She took another sip of her drink before Aubri reached up, yanking it from her hand. She glared down at her, shoving her hands back into her pockets.

"I can get you another one.." AJ offered, but Harper shook her head, looking up again at them. She watched Sean with glowing yellow eyes, it taking her a minute before she realized she was glaring at him. She looked down at her shoes, telling herself there was no reason to be jealous, that Trez wasn't even hers.

"You want to go get us some fries..?" AJ asked, and Harper nodded, patting her pockets for her money.

"You need anything, Alex?" Harper asked him, nudging him with his foot.

Alexander smiled faintly, shook his head. "No, thanks.." He breathed, smirking as Sean said some stupid joke in the microphone before they started the next song.

Trez worked through the second song, third, before stepping forward and murmuring something in Sean's ear. He nodded, taking his gutar and continuing as Trez climbed off stage for a break. He pushed past a few young girls, apologizing that he couldn't sign anything right now, and wandered off by himself to sit down, resting his head between his knees. He knew he just needed to cool off, calm down. And then he could go back.

Harper waited in line for the fries, listening to them playing their songs before she walked back. She spotted Trez, walking over to AJ to give her the fries before she walked back, sitting down beside him. She was more concerned that he was going to have a seizure and be alone than anything.

"You guys are doing really good. Bee has Nash on video chat so he can see you guys." She told him, reaching over to fix his hair for him. She folded her hands in her lap, crossing her legs as she looked down. "I'm just gonna sit here with you. Do you want something to drink or something?" She asked, looking over at him.

Trez smiled, tilting his head to gaze at her. "Yeah?" He murmured. "and I'll gladly have you sit with me.. But I could use a water." He reached over and patted her leg gently. "I'm fine, really." He didn't know it for sure, but he hoped that taking it easy would help. He gazed back up at the stage. "Really somethin', huh?"

"Yeah, but I'd hate to have to fight away a swarm of fan girls if you collapse." She said with a smile, getting up and walking over to get him a water. She came back with a bottle of water, sitting down beside him. She handed it to him, folding her hands in her lap again.

"I think it's awesome. Really, really rad. Not everyone gets a chance like that. Even if it's just a small town gig. I just hope they can fix you so you can keep doing this and we won't have to worry about you." She said, looking around. She saw a few girls looking over, one of the AJ. She smiled at the shy girl, looking back down into her lap. "She really has a thing for Zayne, huh?"
