[FEST] The Great Escape

Zayne hesitated at her words, then snatched the pen from behind Trez's ear, checking that a NotePad was in his back pocket before starting after them.

Trez smiled. "Good work getting ahold of him, Brandon. Just isn't the same without Zayne." Not to mention he was cute. But Trez had no reason to admit that. He got up, grabbing his water and stretching, and Brandon scowled up at him. "Bet I can get far more apples than both of you," Trez huffed, yawning before smiling sheepishly.

"Says the one who looks ready to take a nap," Brandon huffed.

"Says the one who's fun sized," Trez shot back childishly.

"Hey!"

Harper smirked, tightening the band around her hair. "Oh, please." She said, rolling her eyes. She carried the teddy bear by the arm, tucking her other hand into her pocket. She walked slowly to the tubs with the apples in them, was in no hurry to get there. She was willing to bet that Aubri was flirting with Zayne, and if she hadn't ticked AJ off yet, she was close to.

"Hey, Vegas. Whatcha doing?" She asked. He bit into an apple, swinging his legs on his stool.

"Being pretty. What are you doing?"

"About to beat these two girls in apple bobbing." She said.

"I got rope if we're gonna be tying wrists." He said with a smirk before taking another bite of his apple.

"Nice hair." She smiled, kneeling in front of one of the tubs.

"Jayce likes it so.." He shrugged.

"I am not a girl," Brandon groaned, wondered if Kylie was here. Trez only smirked. "There is no way you're winning pretty lady," He teased, tugging on her ponytail gently and raising an eyebrow in challenge. He smiled faintly.

"Yeah right." She smirked, looking up at him. "Are we putting stakes on this? Or are you two too chicken?" She asked, heard Nevada chuckle.

"How many apples?" He asked.

"I dunno. What do you think?"

"Five, I guess." He said, holding her teddy bear for her. He sat it on his stool, grabbing the bucket of apples. He dropped five into each of them, then walked back to his stool. "Why are you guys even doing this?"

"Cause Trez over there thinks he can get more apples than me."

"Well aren't you two a happy couple?" He asked with a smirk, ignoring her glowing eyes.

Trez laughed, eyeing the guy. "Yeah, we are," He huffed with a smirk before nudging Brandon towards the end bin. He kneeled in front of the middle one, reaching over to tug Harper's ponytail gently again. He offered her a playful smile before raising an eyebrow in challenge, waiting.

Harper blushed at his comment, nudging him with her elbow when he pulled her ponytail again. "Keep yanking on my hair." She dared him, eyeing him with bright yellow eyes. Nevada got situated on his stool, watching the three of them. Harper tucked her hands into her back pocket, looking up at Nevada.

"Ready.. Set..." Nevada paused, leaning back on his stool. "Go!" He smiled, watching the three of them attempt to grab the five apples. It took Harper a bit, but she finally managed to get one, spitting it out on the grass beside her before she went after another one.

Trez laughed, waiting patiently. As soon as they were allowed to, Trez had his head in the water and an apple in the grass. When it came to festivals, he had always brought Xander. Last time he had been sick though.

Trez fumbled with the second one as Brandon managed to fish his first out. After four, Trez slowed down though, giving Harper the chance to win.

Harper got the other three out easily, but it was the last one she couldn't get. It floated to the other end, and just sat there. She stood up and leaned over, plucking the apple out of the water. But she lost her balance in the process and tumbled over.

"OH MY GOSH." She squeaked, turning over so she was sitting instead of drowning. She pushed her hair out of her face, tossing the last apple to the grass.

"Oh look, she's a girl." Nevada teased, smirking over at the very wet Harper.

"Well I guess the gig's up then." She teased, looking over at Trez with a smile.

Trez sat up, laughing, and Brandon was, of course, on the ground in hysterics.
He smirked, offering a hand, and pulled her out before hugging her, drenching them both. He laughed softly again. "The hell was that?" He teased.

Harper just laughed, wrapping her arms around his neck. "Maybe I wanted to go for a swim. Frankly, my impromptu swimming escapade is none of your business, nosy." She teased, but kissed his cheek. She looked over at Brandon and started laughing all over again, reaching down to pull up her soaked jeans.

"Harper tried to drown in half a foot of water?" Aubri asked, coming to make her hold something else. Harper just wrapped her arms around Trez again, hugging him tight.
