Dusty had thought coming to college would mean she would have a little more freedom. But there she had a bodyguard sitting a little over ten feet away. She sat down under a tree beside the parking lot, pulling out her book from her bag. She opened it up to the familiar page, and began to read, her nearly grey eyes engrossed in the book. She sat it in her lap, pulling her hair over her shoulder. She twirled the loose curls around her fingers, her pretty face lowered to the book in her lap.

Oliver was playing with another one of his remote control cars, though this one was staying on the ground for now. There were too many trees around, and after what happened to his last model, he didn't want to take any risks. Besides, he was planning on taking this one to class to mess around with it for a project anyway.
He steered the car in and out through the crowd, veering it off course as he strayed from the parking lot to the grass. He watched as the car passed by a young girl maybe all of a year younger than he was, and began to steer it around in circles around her with a small grin. He wasn't sure how he'd react, but it was amusing him to do this, at least.

Dusty heard a whine, and looked down. "Aw, how precious." She said with a smile. She pulled her knees closer, obviously amused by the small vehicle. She looked around at the people until she saw the one operating it. She bit her lip and a blush crept across her cheeks. She closed her book, and stood up. She walked carefully over to her bodyguard, not wanting to step on his little car. She hugged her book close, watching the boy carefully.
"Go talk." The man urged her but she shook her head. He nudged her forward a bit, but she only moved back beside him, obviously frightened at the idea of talking to a boy. And a kinds cute boy at that.
"I'm sure he doesn't bite." He nudged her again and she took a wary step forward.
"H-hi.." She choked out, the blush on her cheeks considerably worse.

Oliver noticed the girl smiling, and smiled as well...but his smile dropped when he saw the girl walk away and over to what looked to be an older man. He wasn't upset, just confused. He hadn't scared her off with the car, had he? Both the girl and the man kept glancing over at him, and it was Oliver's turn to be uncomfortable. Why were they both looking at him in that way?
He continued to steer the car around, this time trying to focus more on the car than on the fact that there were eyes on him, but it was hard. He noticed that the girl was moving toward him out of the corner of his eye and he looked up in surprise. "Hey. Sorry if I, uh, scared you." He hoped that wasn't the case, but if it was, he wanted to get the apology out of the way from the get go.

She nodded, not sure how to tell him he hadn't bothered her with it. She thought it was an amusing little thing, something like what she used to play with when she was a kid. Only hers never broke. And if they did, she just got a new one. She always ran them under peoples feet.
"Its.. cute.." She mumbled, hugging her book tighter. She thought she might have a few back at the vacation house. But if she told anyone where it was, she was sure she would get in trouble.
"That's princess Dusty!" She heard some girl squeak. She walked over to the boy, hiding behind him. The girl got closer and Dusty shook her head. The girl held out a notebook and Dusty quickly signed her name across it before watching the girl run off happily. She sighed, hugging her book again.

Oliver played with his toys so much that they broke, but his parents learned early on that they shouldn't even bother with trying to get new ones. Oliver almost had more fun trying to fix them (and, eventually, succeeding in doing so once he got old enough) than he had playing with them.
The nineteen year old blushed lightly when she said it was 'cute'. Of all adjectives to use, and she used cute, the one that was guaranteed to make him blush almost as much as she was? He had to imagine they looked pretty silly, two young adults blushing more than they were talking, but Oliver knew that he at least couldn't help it. He'd always been on the shy side, especially when it came to girls.
He was surprised when a girl came up to them, getting an autograph from 'Princess Dusty'. His eyes widened, along with a few brief flashes. Odd how even this could bring flashes, though at least he understood somewhat where they were coming from. He found himself bowing slightly without a second thought, almost as if it were automatic. "Your majesty." He intoned, feeling that this was all ridiculously familiar, but that this wasn't really the right setting for it at all.

"Just Dusty.." She mumbled quietly. She had enough of that at home, and her bodyguards. It wasn't like she had asked for the title. She was born into it. And to her, she was nothing more than all the rest of the kids here. Or at least she wanted to be.
"I.. no one calls me my name anymore.." She said quietly. The only difference she saw -or heard- was her accent. She just hoped no one broke out the cameras. She ran her hand up and down her arm, looking sheepishly at her feet.

Oliver moved up from his bow. It was a kneejerk reaction to greeting royalty, from what he could only assume was his...well, what did he refer to it as? He'd lived in the past, died, and was living again. So...past life? That sounded about right. His past life. It came from his past life.
"W-Why don't we introduced ourselves?" Oliver stated simply, trying to salvage the situation. "I'm Orv...Oliver Winchester." Had he really almost introduced himself as Orville now? That was something he hadn't done much since he was a kid, but he was still adjusting to this new revelation, apparently. That and he was feeling immensely awkward right now, which meant that everything came bursting forward. Even if he hadn't worked out the nature behind everything that was happening to him, he might have still made that slip around this...admittedly pretty girl.

She looked up at him when he spoke, wondering if he had gotten amnesia or something if he was stumbling over his name. "I'm Dusty Williams.." She said quietly, looking away again. She tried not to lower her head. Her mother had told her it wasn't lady-like. She felt bad that he was the only one trying to do the talking. But she couldn't help it. She usually stumbled over her thought and words around boys. She knew if she wasn't a princess, she would have been laughed at in the face quite a few times.
"I used to have remote cars.." She said quietly. "I think they're in my closet now.. I doubt they would even work anymore.." She looked back over at him, then bit her lip, hoping she didn't make a fool of herself.

"Well, it's a pleasure to meet you, Dusty." He had to bite his tongue to prevent himself from referring to her as 'your majesty' or 'princess', but he thought it to be for the better than he did. Nevertheless, the old fashioned show of manners was just...ingrained into him. Especially now that he knew what Dusty was.
When the subject turned to remote control cars, it was notable that Oliver's visage changed. It usually did whenever such a subject came up. He was shy when it came to talking about himself, or talking to girls, but no matter what the case, he usually had no problem talking about mechanics or anything of the like. "If they don't work, I could try fixing them up?" As far as he was concerned, it didn't matter that she was a princess and he was this awkward guy who was having a hard time even getting his name right. He had the opportunity to mess around with something.
