She ran her fingers through her curls, biting on her lip a bit. "Well, I'm not supposed to bring anyone back to the vacation home.. Mum and dad don't exactly like the idea of people knowing where we live.. But.." She walked over to the big, brawny man again, talking to him for a minute before he called someone. She rocked back and forth from her heels to her toes, before walking back to the boy.
"My mum says it's okay. As long as you don't tell anyone where it's at and you don't break any of dad's tools fooling around with my old cars." She said, looking over at him. "I-if you want to.. that is.."

"I can understand that. I don't have..." He was about to state that he didn't have to when Dusty walked off, much to his surprise, and began to talk to the big burly man once more. Oliver at this point now realized that said man was likely a bodyguard of some sort. When Dusty came back, it was with good news, and Oliver smiled a little.
"You don't have to worry about me breaking tools. I can actually bring my own, so your mom and dad don't even have to worry about that." Maybe he'd finally put all of his Christmas present to use after all.

She smiled a bit, then walked over to the car. She climbed into the back seat, leaving the door open for Oliver. She put her book beside her, then took her bag off her shoulder, setting it on the floorboard. She waited for him to get in before she moved over to the other seat. The bodyguard got in the front seat, started the car, and drove out of the parking lot. After a while, they got to a long dirt road and Dusty leaned her head against the window. As they approached, the already big house got bigger and bigger until he stopped in front of it. She slid out of the car, and a maid came out, grabbing her booksack.
"And yours, sir?" She asked, putting Dusty's booksack over her shoulder.

Oliver climbed into the backseat as well, setting his own backpack down (as it's awfully uncomfortable to ride in a car with something on your back). It didn't seem like much time at all before they arrived at a very large house, and a maid came out to greet them. Oliver wasn't intimidated by this, but still thought that this was familiar. As he handed his backpack over to the maid, the image of a woman came to mind, along with a name - Carrie Kayler.
He hadn't been treated like this in ages.
"Thank you." He stated with a smile to the woman, then looked over at Dusty, placing his hands into his pockets awkwardly. It suddenly occurred to him that while he knew her biggest secret, she didn't exactly know his.

Dusty walked up the steps into the house, leaving the door open for him. She bounded the spiral staircase, smiling down at her mother on the sofa. "Evening, mum." She told her with a smile and a small wave. She walked down the long hall to her bed room. She left that door open, using one of her books to keep it open. She kicked off her shoes, pulling off her jacket before she opened her closet. She walked in and disappeared, then returned a few minutes later with a big box.
She sat it down on the floor, pushing it towards him. "Can I watch?" She asked, kneeling behind the box.

Oliver smiled at Dusty's mother as well, giving her a nod of hello out of politeness. His smile was a tad awkward, but what did one expect?
The young man stood once they reached her bedroom, not wanting to sit down or do anything until he was invited to. He stood awkwardly as he saw her digging around in her closest, and then watched as she came back with a box. As she pushed it toward him on the floor, Oliver took this as an invitation to take a seat, and so he did. He looked over to Dusty with a grin. "Of course! I don't mind people watching." Oliver found his backpack and started to dig through it, pulling out various tools.

"Mkay." She said with a smile, sitting down. She folded her legs in front of her, watching him rummage through his bag. She was curious. She had always watched her father tinker with things, fix things that needed mending. And her mother was good at sewing. Not that they ever did much of that unless they were alone. They always had someone to do it for them.
"You must be awfully smart." She said, looking up at him. "I wouldn't know what I was doing." She said, leaning a little closer. She didn't want to be in his way, so she stayed on her side of the box. "Do you need a light? You can sit under the window. It's bright over there."

Oliver blushed a little when Dusty said he must be smart. He also nearly missed where he was aiming for with a screwdriver when she said it, but fortunately missed hitting his skin and continued on as if nothing happened. As if he weren't suddenly more shaky with the screwdriver because she said that.
The young man shook his head. "No thanks, I'm good here. I'll move though if I do need more light. How long have you been around here?" He asked, in an attempt to make conversation. He wasn't sure how to bring up the truth about himself either, and that was something else that had him contemplative.

"Uhm.. We've been coming here since I was little so uh.. quite awhile, I guess. I'm going to school here for a little while until we go back. But I kinda hope we don't.. It's hard to go to public school back in Britian when you're a princess.." She watched what he was doing and fell silent, completely interested. She looked up as he dad stood in the door way and smiled at him.
"Look, dad. He took it apart." She said with a smile, gesturing for him to come over. He looked over his shoulder and nodded.
"Very good. Be careful of hitting the frame with your screw driver if it has any charge to it. The frame is steel. You'll get a shock." He said, then walked off. Dusty smiled over at him.
"You remind me of my dad. You're both really smart." She said, pushing her hair out of her face.

"So you're a princess in Britain?" Oliver questioned. Well, the accent sort of gave away that he was British, but he was curious as to exactly where she was a princess of. He was surprised to see Dusty's father watching them, but the older man looked quite interested as well. "Thanks sir." Oliver responded to the man's words of advice. If he were standing he probably would have been tempted to go into a bow again.
Oliver looked back to Dusty and blushed. Once again, she was saying that he was really smart. "I, well...I've had a lot of practice." He turned his reddest yet, then turned his eyes back toward the car. "You know about this town, right? How most people here aren't what they seem?" Oh he hoped this wouldn't scare her off...
