"Well, he's got a job to do. And he's not my boyfriend so he really doesn't have a reason to be around me constantly. I just like talking to him. He's really smart." She said, reaching over to brush up a piece he had missed. That was one thing about Charlie- she would touch anyone. She wasn't really afraid of anyone, unless they had a weapon. Sure, some people were more unsettling than others, but aside from that, she tried to get along with everyone.
"You know, most guys around here only call an orange haired girl pretty when they want something." She said, folding her hands in her lap again as she tipped her head quizzically at him.

Shaking his head, he smiled as he looked to the floor. He always thought it funny when he felt like he was getting a lecture, unless, it was authority. That was one thing he had learned well in the orphanage. He was the one to get Damian and him out of Damian's trouble. "Well, I don't know about most people in this town, but usually, when I say a girl's pretty.. it's because they're actually pretty." Khole picked up his shake, tipping it to her slightly before taking a sip.
"Besides, I got what I want. One was the shake. Two was to just talk to you." His shoulder shrug, and he took a long sip from his shake before sitting it down. "I could go for some fries though,"

She smiled at the compliment, a blush rising to her cheeks. She looked down, picking at her nail again. She looked back up at the mention of fries, wrinkling her nose. "YOU can go get fries. I don't like eating. It makes me so sick. But I didn't get a lot to eat in the orphanage." She said, reaching over for a napkin. She started to fold it, not really trying to make anything. She ended up with a lopsided bird, sitting it down in front of Khole.
"So, what exactly are you? I mean.. You're not human.. But you're not an angel either. I'd know an angel anywhere." She said, looking up at him, her orange hair in her face.

One side of his lip pulled up in a smirk as he noticed the rosey color on her cheeks. "Yeah, orphanages are never fun." He said with a nothing-you-can-do tone. But then again, most didn't have a roommate like his. Or even have him as a roommate. Damian and Khole had fought their first few months in the same room together, but when they did become friends, all they did was cause trouble and smooth talk their way out of it.
He adjusted his on eyes on her hand as she moved to push the hair he missed back. It was a gentle touch, and it gave him the goose bumps he normal got when someone new touched him. "Oh, I'm just your regular encantado.." His fingers padded against the cup gently, watching her with shimmering eyes as she sat back. "Why? Not a fan of mysteries?" he asked.

Charlie bit her lip, not wanting to be as drawn to him as she actually was. "No.." She breathed, couldn't help wondering if she was getting herself into trouble. 'Cheating is a sin..' She kept telling herself, biting down on her lip. "I like knowing everything for a fact instead of having to dwell on assumptions.." She said quietly, something her 'mother' would have told her.
She wrung her hands together, unaware that she was slowly getting lightheaded and dizzy, the same way she always felt around Tyler. "You must.. Because you haven't asked me what I am.." She mumbled quietly.

"Assumptions are fine, as long as you don't let them drive you crazy and cause bad judgment. Plus the unknown is sometimes better than the known." He seemed to rant on and on, but it was something that came naturally to him. Khole could sit around with just about anyone and have a conversation. Even if they made no sense at times.
He shrugged his shoulders at her next comment. "I assumed you were an angel, because earlier you said again and you said you would know an angel from anywhere. Plus, when I turned around at the counter, you had a glow." He explained, ending it with another sip from his shake which was about half way gone.

Charlie shrugged at the comment about her being an angel. She couldn't help thinking that he was brighter than she was willing to let him know. "Well, one for you." She said, smiling over at him. She pushed her hair out of her eyes, looking out the window. She picked at her nail, wondering when it was going to rain again. It hadn't rained for awhile, and she didn't think it would for a long while.
"So.. What is it that you do?" She asked. She knew that her job wasn't the best job, but it was a job. She used it to buy clothes, mostly. Not that she even had a place to keep them. She chewed on her lip, looking back up at him.

He did a small fist pump, like he had just got the first goal of a game. If no one knew any better, they might have guessed Khole had known the girl for awhile. But he just openly himself around people. They could chose to like it or not, most girls seemed to like it though, even if it was alluring eyes.
"By day, I'm a cashier at the mall. By night, I pray on unsuspected girls and take them back to my cabin." Khole laughed softly, "Kidding, most come willingly." He gave a small, playful wink as he pulled the lid from the cup, mixing the shake around.

"Sounds better than my job." She said with a chuckle, watching him play with his shake. But she knew what was in the cup, and it made her sick to think about it. She wrinkled her nose, shaking her head. "I cant bring myself to eat. It's just.. so repulsive. But I guess when you haven't had anything to eat in so long.." She trailed off, bringing her thumb to her mouth to bite her nail before she quickly dropped it. She picked at the last of the nail polish Shaun had put on, and wondered how the poor girl was doing.
"So.. That's just what you guys do? You like.. prey on people for sex?" She asked, looking back up at him.

"And what would your job be?" Khole asked simply, watching as she bit her nails. Her disgust with food made him smile, he had never seen anyone like that. Well, except for vampires, but that was normal. They prayed on people for their blood. "Biting your nails isn't a much better habit than eating." His voice cut through the air smoothly, drifting to a stop within hearing range.
"Simply put, yes. But not everyone I bring home is a girl and I don't have sex with every girl I bring home. I can be civilized at times. It's like a typical teenage guy, only you don't exactly grow out of it. And some encantados kill the ones they bring back to their home." It wasn't something he was fond of. Khole was usually one to go back for seconds if it was allowed. Plus, he never felt like dealing with cops.
