Blake found her way to the bathroom to rinse her mouth out, figuring it was good enough since she didn't have a tooth brush. She wandered back to his bedroom before climbing in beside him. She wrapped her arms around his waist, laying her head on his shoulder before falling asleep. She wasn't asleep long before her phone went off. She searched blindly across the floor with her hands before finding her pants, pulling the phone out.

"Aldridge." She said groggily, rubbing her eyes as she sat up.

'Where are you?' She got up and walked out of the room. "Why? Who is this?" 'I see you, Blakey. Your boyfriend can't save you, now can he?' "You aren't funny.." She said, glancing around. She looked over at a window, and the figure smiled, waving at her. She dropped her phone, running back to his bedroom.

'Gun's in the car.' She thought, and knelt on the floor, tapping on it gently. "Dakota? Come see, boy." She whispered, praying he was still there. "Come see Blake.. Come on.."

Rex fell asleep soon after, and didn't stir when she got up, chest rising and falling in relaxed sleep. He rolled over groggily, buried his face in the blankets but didn't stir.

At his name Dakota clambered carefully from the bed, the large dog reaching her in two strides, large tongue rasping over her cheek.

"Ew, 'Kota." He groaned, but wrapped her arms around the dog anyways. She petted him slowly, afraid to get up off the floor. She kissed the top of his head, patting her thigh. "Lay down, boy." She said softly, leaning against the nightstand. But before long she was laying on the floor next to the dog, sleeping soundly.

Dakota curled up beside her quietly, stretching to just about her full height protectively like a barrier. Soon the room was silent with sleep.

Blake groaned at the light coming through the window, putting her arm over her eyes. She reached over beside her, expecting to find her watch and gun. But instead she found Dakota. She raised an eyebrow, looking over at him before pulling herself to her feet. She climbed into bed beside Rex, not realizing just how exposed she was until now. She ran her hand across his shoulder, kissing his neck softly.

"Wake up, sleeping beauty." She said with a smile, rubbing his side gently.

Rex groaned stubbornly, tilted his head, burying his face a moment before rolling onto his back again. A smile graced his lips though he didn't bother open his eyes, his sight wouldn't change anyway.

Stretched some, he yawned, rubbing at his face. "Mm...morning."

"Good morning, handsome." She said with a smile, leaning down and kissing him gently. She moved a bit, laying her head on his chest.

"I'm off today. What do you want to do until you have to go in?" She asked him, running her hand over his chest gently. She wished she would have climbed back in the bed and slept next to him. He was much more comfortable than the floor.

"Mm..." Rex only yawned lazily again, scratching at his jaw before he opened sightless eyes out of simple instinct. He couldn't just keep them closed forever.

"I dunno...whatever you want," He mumbled, chuckling with a crooked smile as Dakota nudged his hand, trying to climb onto the bed.

Blake moved so she was laying against his side, laying her head on his shoulder. "I'd be content to just lay here all day." She said, then heard her phone ringing from the hall. She wrapped her arms tighter around him, not wanting to let go now. She was terrified to answer her phone.

Rex laughed softly, hugging her close. "Phone," He murmured, not sure if she had heard it. He shifted his weight some, grunting when Dakota clambered up.
