She looked down at the bruise and backed away a bit, scared she would hurt him. "Ouch, Rex." She mumbled, moving her hand away from it. She didn't like the way it looked. And hoped nothing was broken. She laid her head down on the pillow, closing her eyes. She realized how much she would hate not seeing him. She wondered if her next physical would be different, if she would have some sort of tie with Rex or if nothing had changed. She hoped for his sake she didn't, considering he had made it clear he didn't want babies.
"Mm.. It's comfy laying here.." She mumbled, draping an arm over her stomach.

Rex huffed. "As I said, not being able to see worth shit is a thing of trust. Got jumped, haven't really found the time to find out if it's more than a bruise." He shrugged, shifting his weight a bit with a grimace. His side definitely hurt more today than it had just yesterday.
He felt her move around, and her next words drew a smile on his lips. "I would hope," He murmured, lips finding her cheek once he was sure he wouldn't miss his mark.

She smiled, wrapping her arms around him tightly. She trailed a hand up and down his chest, careful not to hit his bruise. "Well, it looks broken. But I'm no doctor." She said with a laugh, pulling the blankets up a little higher. She heard her phone beeping, telling her it would soon be dead, and she could honestly say she was glad. No more creepy calls f it were.

Rex smiled faintly. "If it is, I'll be finding out soon enough, hm?" He traced a hand over her cheek, kissed her tenderly on the lips. He stretched a bit, grimacing faintly, and closed sightless eyes.
"Mm...never expected this," He murmured with a chuckle. "It's nice...to have somebody here with me."

She smiled, meeting the kiss gently. She didn't want to hurt him anymore than he already was. She ran a hand gently through his hair before watching him stretch.
"Its really nice. Just you and me. And Dakota." She said with a smile. She would take this over the station any day. She moved closer to him, laying her head on his chest. She liked being here with him. Even if she knew she would just be back at the station later. She trailed her hand up and down his chest, closing her eyes.

"Yeah." He chuckled softly, shifting his weight to get a bit more comfortable, drawing her closer with an arm and kissing her neck gently.
He smiled, sightless eyes pleased. "Mh.." Another laugh passed his lips. "I haven't felt so hapoy in a long time." He always appeared hapoy, but this.. This was so much better.

"Me either." She said with a smile, pulling his other hand towards her. She laced their fingers together, holding his hand close to her chest. Something about the fact that he couldn't see her bare body made her feel a little better about not getting dressed. She knew he couldn't judge her then.
"You always manage to make me smile, though. You're a really amazing guy." She said, leaning over to kiss him gently.
