A subtle thanks leaped from his lips, his eyes diverted out to the water. The silence didn't seem too awkward, he almost enjoyed just sitting there with her, but Jayden wanted to find out more. Which was new to him, usually it was only books that he wanted to read from cover to cover. But she seemed different and interesting. "What are you thinking about?" He asked, his gaze turning back to her. Maybe it was the focused expression on her face, but that was the first thing that slipped from his mouth. Jayden's leg swung back and forth, the other scrunched closer to his body, letting his arms cross comfortable and his head rested on his arms as he studied Leah.
Her movements danced across the grace, her mind danced across her thoughts and every once and awhile she would glance back to the boy to make sure everything was still normal, well at least as normal as they could be. "So, they your family?" Adele asked, referring to Leah and Zain. She jumped to a stop as they came upon the car.

Adaleah glanced over at him, caught up in studying his face for a moment. Then she smiled, shrugged. "Just the water, swimming. And what we're going to do about Zain before he gets any crazier." She bit her lip, couldn't help the instinct, and couldn't help her worry for her only family left. "He almost killed a guy the other night.. His boyfriend's dad or something like that."
Skylar smirked as he watched her before unlocking the car with a nod. "Yeah my cousin and sister. All I got."

Jayden nodded, his instincts were to reach out, hold her. It took him a couple seconds, but soon, he pushed off the pole and scooted closer to her. Not sure of what to say, he let the silence take over, watching her carefully. His teeth chewed on the inside of his cheek. "He's not the only crazy one here. You should see the kids at school.." Taken a moment, he inhaled deeply, not wanting to upset her, "but that is pretty bad.." Lifting his feet up, he unlaced his shoes, sliding them off and then his socks before scooting closer to the water, dipping them below the water's surface. It was cool, relaxing. "One thing I've learned though, is that you can't help a person if they don't want it." He wasn't trying to say her cousin didn't want help, "The waters nice."
"Seems like that's all anyone has 'round this place.. But it grows with the more people you meet. It's surprising how many people will actually be there for you in this town.." Her nostrils flared as he opened the car door, catching the light scent of the brownies. Adele liked the heightened senses of being feline, though sometimes it was annoying. "They smell delicious."

"Guess so..." She murmured. "He doesn't want help, he doesn't think anything is wrong." She watched him dip his feet in the water and smiled. Something told her he wasn't human, but she bit her lip, still not sure. "I can't get wet unless I get in or take my jeans off," She murmured sheepishly.
Skylar chuckled. "Yeah, well, not too many." He pulled them from under the seat, knew he couldn't get stoned easily and wasn't in the mood to deal with somebody who was. One or two wouldn't hurt of course.

"It might just take him a little longer to realize, or maybe he'll meet someone who helps him without realizing it." Jayden leaned back on his hands, glancing over at Leah with a toothy smile. It was peaceful, the birds chirped softly, the weather wasn't too cold or too hot. It was kind of the perfect day. "If you wanna go for a swim, I'll hide my eyes til' you say I can open them," He laid back, his hands crossing over his chest and his feet moving to just above the water's surface. "It's a good day for a swim anyway,"
Adele watched as he pulled them from under the seat, "Guess I'm not the only bad influence around here," She giggled, taking one from the trey, biting it in half. "You seem at ease, even though your sister is off with my brother," She looked back to the bench, not wanting to walk all the way back, she sat on the curb. Her legs sprawled out in front of her, her hand tilted up just enough to see his face.

"I'd like to think he already has," She murmured, smiled at him sheepishly. She gazed back down at the water, then carefully removed her shirt, leaving her bra on. "Hide your eyes," She murmured, cheeks feeling hot. She waited, then tugged off her jeans and bottoms, sliding into the water. Within moments her legs morphed together to become a fin and she bit her lip. "Okay."
Skylar shrugged. "If he did something she could swim away." He rose an eyebrow, grabbing a brownie and taking a bite before watfhing Zain across the park, sitting on a swing and watching the water.

Jayden placed his hands over his eyes, listening carefully as her clothes hit the deck and she jumped into the water. He sat up, his hands hooking under his shirt, pulling it over his head. He gave her a sheepish grin as he stood, unbuttoning his pants and letting them fall to the ground. Jayden dove off to the side of her, water splashing up as he cut through the surface. "That was horrible," He breathed as he resurfaced a couple feet away from her.
"He wouldn't have the courage. He's like the cowardly lion from the Wizard of Oz," Adele laughed, taking another bite from the brownie. She followed his gaze to the other boy they had been with. "So, a mermaid.. I'm guessing?" She asked

Adaleah smiled at him, laughing, and swam a little bit closer. "What was? Jumping in?" She teased, biting her lip. He wasn't human, she didn't think. But she didn't know what he was. "Wanna see something? Her light blue fin lifted from the water, splashing him gently as she dropped it again.
Skylar smirked, leaning up against the car. He looked quietly towards the water as she spoke. "Yeah, she is. Me, not completely." Not to mention that he was a pirate. "And our cousin, not at all." He took another bite.

"Yeah, it's been awhile." Jayden laughed, watching her as she swam closer. His hands jetting up to his face a second too late as he was splashed. "So, I'm pretty much out matched in this water?" He teased as he began to swim around in circles. His hair stuck to his head, sending little drops of water down his face.
Adele ate the rest of the brownie, dusting the crumbs from her fingers. "Hmm.. interesting," She drawled, using her head to block off the sun as she tilted her head up to look at his face. "That'd be some weird babies.." She mumbled aloud, already thinking of what would happen if Jayden actually made a move. Part fish, part feline?

"Pretty much," She teased, watching him quietly with the faintest smile. "So, what are you, anyway? You're not shocked, you can't be human.." She tilted her head some, blonde locks falling into her face as she smiled again.
Skylar rose an eyebrow. "What?" He questioned, sliding the brownies under the seat as Zain started towards them.
