A makeshift recording studio had been made in the hotel, an entire wing being closed off so there would be no interference. When you couldn't get space in the actual recording studio, you made one.
Gavin rocked back and forth in his chair, sipping on his water. He watched them move the mic into the soundproof glass they had brought in. They finally got the wires lead out into the other room where they had the recording equipment.
"Okay, go test it." His manager said. He sat his water down, walking around the glass. He sang a few random notes into the mic, then looked back.
"It works?" He asked. His manager nodded, and he grabbed his sheets. They putting the tapes in, and he pulled his earphones on. The music started playing, and he started singing.
"Hey, slow it down Whataya want from me Whataya want from me Yeah, I'm afraid Whataya want from me Whataya want from me
There might have been a time When I would give myself away (Ooh) Once upon a time I didn't give a damn But now here we are So whataya want from me Whataya want from me."
He closed his blue eyes, slowly becoming lost in the music.

Clinton sighed, leaning his head against the back of his seat. He had no desire to leave his car. He didn't want to step outside of his car. He wanted to stay, stay in a place where he knew he was safe and where he wouldn't have to worry about being yelled at. Or turned on for that matter.
He groaned as he stepped out of his car. He held the black binder loosely in his right hand, letting it rest against his thigh as he walked. He had edited the photos quickly. He didn't rush them or anything, he just wanted to get them done and out of the way. He wanted to stop thinking about Gavin. He was a dick for no reason and Clint hated that. All he wanted now was to receive his money and walk away.
He walked into the cool hotel and was directed to an area Gavin had been using as a studio. He stood by the 'door' and waited for his manager to wave him in before he entered. He wasn't about to piss anyone off.

Gavin's manager looked up from where he was flipping through the lyrics sheets and nodded for him to come in, but pressed a finger to his lips, telling him to stay quiet. It would pick up on his voice if he spoke.
"Yeah, it's plain to see That baby you're beautiful And there's nothing wrong with you It's me, I'm a freak But thanks for lovin' me Cause you're doing it perfectly" He sang, looking up to catch Clinton's eye. He didn't stop though, kept on with his song.
"There might have been a time When I would let you slip away I wouldn't even try but I think You could save my life." He smiled a bit, then closed his eyes, getting to the chorus again.

Clinton nodded quietly walking in. He looked up at Gavin singing and smiled, he felt something stirring in the pit of his stomach. He pushed the thought away and looked back up at him, but as soon as he saw that he was looking back he quickly turned his head away and walked towards his manager.
He hugged the binder close watching him. Loving how in tune he was with his own music. He couldn't help but scan his body. He hated the thoughts that kept on coming back, he just wanted to push them away. But he needed to be honest with himself. Every time he saw a picture of him or even thought about his voice he got chills.

Gavin finished his song, pulling the earphones down around his neck. He waited a few seconds until he knew it could be cut off the tape, then looked over at his manager. "Good?" He asked. His manager nodded and he took the earphones off, setting them on the mic. He walked out, handing him back the sheet. He thumbed through the ones he had in his hand, pulling out another one. He walked over to get his bottle of water.
"You owe him $2400." He told his manager, and the man walked out the room to get his checkbook. Gavin took a sip of his water, sitting down in his chair. "Did they come out good? I was pretty tipsy.."

Clinton was honestly surprised when Gavin said he was tipsy during the shoot. It left him pretty confused also. Now he had no idea what type of person Gavin was, and that thought alone scared him even more then thinking he liked someone that was moody.
"Uh yea, really good." he said with a smile trying to be professional. He handed him the binder that held around 24 different photos in plastic sleeves for protection. "I did some in color and some in black and white, not sure what you wanted."
'I wonder if he remembers everything..' he thought to himself as he watched him look at the pictures before he looked up to see if the manager was back with the check.

Gavin looked through them, honestly not remembering much of anything. He remembered talking about acorns and that was about it. He stopped on one of him laying across the table, chewing on his lip. "Ma would like this one." He said with a smile, and continued to flip through them. He looked up as his manager came back in, handing him a check for $3000 even. Gavin guessed it was extra for having to put up with him. He handed his manager the binder, then stood up, fixing his jeans. He finished off his water, then walked out of the room to go refill it. He didn't like people doing for him what he could do for himself. It made him feel lazy. He smiled as he passed someone who was probably a worker. She stopped him, and he signed a random piece of paper he had in his pocket. Probably his ticket from eating earlier. He continued on his way to the water fountain.

Clinton smiled, glad that Gavin found the pictures acceptable. That was the thing that always worried him. No matter how many people from varying degrees of fame he had photographed, no matter how many times he got praised and heavy sums of money he was always nervous when it came to presenting the product. He couldn't help but wonder if Gavin felt the same.
"Thank you." he mumbled with a smile looking at the cheek. He wasn't all that surprised by the 'tip' or added cash. It almost always happened. It was something he expected. He folded the cheek in half and tucked it in his wallet, making a mental note to deposit it later.
He smiled and thanked the manager again before he turned to left. He was curious about what Gavin would be like in his own element, so he did what any photographer would do to catch someone in their natural element. Follow.

Gavin walked out and around the side of the building. He was filling up his water bottle when he heard one girl, then another, and another. He prayed they weren't coming towards him, but soon he was cornered by at least eight of them. 'Girls are like the plague.' He thought, but put on a smile. He pulled a sharpie out from his back pocket -something he had learned to carry around with him- and signed their random items they held out. He couldn't help thinking this was why they had this wing of the building blocked off.
He smiled and finally shrank away from them, nearly running Clinton over. He just grabbed his arm and pulled him with him before they caught up. He walked back inside, and around a corner, then another until the room was dark. "Smells like fucking bleach." He complained, putting his sharpie back in his pocket. Being in a dark confined area with the guy didn't exactly make him feel comfortable. He didn't dare move, afraid he would brush against him. His hand felt along the wall until he found a light switch. He flipped it on, and looked over at the guy. "Girls are rabbid, I tell you." He said, putting his hands in his pockets. "Man, fuck. I forgot my water." He groaned, slapping himself in the forehead.

Clinton watched a flock of girls surround Gavin. He was amused and he didn't hide it. It was one of his favorite parts of his job. Seeing people flock towards celebrities. It never got old. That was one thing he liked about his job. Yes he was famous, but it was among a different world. The average person didn't care about him.
"Ow" he said wincing as he felt Gavin grab onto his arm and pull him in the opposite direction he was going in. He sighed, knowing that he didn't have a choice but to run with him. He wasn't going to be heartless and let him be surrounded by teen girls again, no matter how amusing that would be for him he knew it was cruel.
He stopped breathing when he realized what type of situation he was in. He was in a small, dark, nasty smelling, confined space with a guy. A very attractive guy. He breathed a sigh of relief when he found a light switch and he once again he to fight the urge to look him over.
"I would agree with that statement, hence why I am gay." he said simply, leaning against the wall.
