Clinton said the exact opposite of what Gavin wanted to hear. He would have felt better about 'Ive got you alone. I'm going to kill you now as dump your body into some marsh somewhere where no one will ever find you.' But no. He had to go and say he liked him. Gavin groaned, leaning his head against the wall as he closed his eyes.
"I have a tour to do. A tour I can't go dragging anyone along on. I can't just.. like someone back home. I'm like, ten states away and they'd be back here worrying about me. It's bad enough I've got to leave my mom. And hire a nurse for her." He ran his fingers over the fabric covering Clinton's shoulders. He wanted him, that he couldn't deny. He wanted him in more ways than one. But he couldn't do that to him.
"It would be different if we were just starting the album. That can take years to finish. That's not the same as being away from home all the time. You don't want me, okay? This isn't.. something you want to date, something you want to like. This is months away from home, sleepless nights, cramped hotel rooms.." He looked up at him. "This isn't as easy as it looks." He couldn't help feeling like an ass. He was cute. And he liked Gavin. But Gavin couldn't go hurting him like that. It was wrong. He didn't want him back home expecting nightly phone calls and constant texts.

Clinton listened to what Gavin was saying. To him it seemed like Gavin wanted to be with him, but wa worried about the commitment. He wasn't sure what he wanted to say. What he wanted to do. He smiled a bit when he felt Gavin's hands across his shoulders, he liked the feeling of it. Hell, he liked everything that Gavin did and they barely knew each other anyways. Yet the thought of him leaving on tour killed him. He didn't want to think about the warmth of his body leaving him.
"I know what you mean..photographer remember?" he said smiling weakly. He had spent nights with out sleep, been in multiple counties within a day or two of each other. "Not want to date?" he said confused, "Dating someone shouldn't be based on a job." he said rubbing his sides. He chewed on his lip trying to think of what to say. Anything that would make them e able to be together. "Even if you didnt have a job it wouldnt affect me wanting to be with you."
He leaned forward, letting their foreheads touch, trying to figure out what to do. "What if I came with you.." he said looking at him again. "Hire me as your photographer. Let me photograph all of your concerts and other things." he sputtered out. "You could have hundreds of photographs that you could use in books..videos..albums...posters..." he said trailing off things, wanting..needing to be with him.

Gavin couldn't help thinking this guy was much more forward than he was. He couldn't admit he liked someone, even if he tried. "How about.. you get to know me a little better, before you decide you want to date me, okay?" He mumbled. Truth was, he was afraid of dating the boy just yet. He didn't know him well enough. He had forgotten how to trust after his ex. He had learned to keep away from people. And that's just what he had been doing. Until Clinton came along..
"It's not up to me to decide who takes my pictures. I know we hire at least like, five of them. For random things like posters and pictures for autographs." He reached over, stroking his cheek gently. "I dunno, you can always ask my manager, I guess.. He's the one in charge of all that stuff." He didn't know what his manager would say, but if he liked the pictures enough, he might try to convince Clinton to be a private photographer.
"Talk to him, I guess." He shrugged. He shifted his weight a bit, getting more comfortable against the wall. He didn't know what was more comfortable to Clinton about supporting his own weight, and then that of Gavin's, but hey, whatever made him happy, right?

Clinton smiled at him, "Of course." he said simply. He didn't want to jump into a relationship anyways with out getting to know someone. It would be idiotic to put a lot of time, effort and money into someone you barely knew yet you were dating. Clinton hated stupid people, and he hated doing stupid things.
He figured as much, there were tons of people that dealt with everything business and publication related things when it came to famous people. All Gavin was expected to do was sing, sign some autographs and pose for pretty pictures that would be distributed world wide.
"I think I might just do that." he said with a smile leaning into his sensitive touch. He then slipped his hand up Gavin's shirt and leaned forward, kissing him slowly.

Gavin blushed at the touch, and had to resist the urge to pull his hand away. He kept telling himself this wasn't his ex, that this wasn't being forced on him. But he still couldn't shake the feeling.
He kissed him back gently, slowly, the hand on the back of his neck finding it's way back into the hair at the nape of his neck. He leaned a little closer, afraid if he broke it, Clinton would be mad. It was obvious his ex had ruined guys for him, that his ex had made him scared that everyone else was like him. Gavin finally pulled away, gasping for air. "I need to go get their snacks.. You can go talk to my manager." He suggested.

Clinton kissed him back, wondering if it was even possible for Gavin to even trust someone after what his ex had done to him. It made him want to rethink his entire approach. He wanted to pull his hand back from his flat stomach, give him a reassurance the he just didn't want sex. That with him, and only him, did he want a relationship. Something he hadn't wanted since he was a teenager.
Clinton nodded, he slowly moved away a bit, still holding onto his waist so he could slide down the wall with out hurting himself. He kissed him once more slowly, cupping his cheek. He knew that he would miss the warmth his body offered, but he couldn't push someone if they didn't want it.
"I'll see you later." he whispered quietly smiling at him before he walked out of the room, fixing his hair in hopes to finding the manager.
Clinton had a million things running through his hair, and he was relieved when he saw the manager. "Hey, can I talk to you for a moment?" he asked, putting on a face that was completely professional.

Gavin leaned into the last kiss, smiling a bit before he pulled away. He bent down, picking up his water bottle before he fished around his pockets. He grabbed his car keys, and walked out to his car.
His manager looked up from the pictures Clinton had given him, pulling off the headphones he had on. The guitarist was in the box now, so it didn't matter if anyone talked. The guitar was hooked to an amp anyways. He nodded towards the chair beside him, turning the page. He pulled out one, adding it to the pile he had made on the table.
"I like the pictures. Some of these are really good. A lot better than the last photographer we hired." He said, picking up the picture he had just put down. He looked over it, deciding he wanted that one to be the cover. He turned it face down on the table, then folded the binder.
"What's up?" He asked, looking back over at him.

Clinton smiled at the praise the manager had given him. He knew he was a good photographer, it hadn't been easy to become so well known but it was a struggle that was worth it in every way. He did what he loved everyday, and it never once felt like work to him.
"I know this is kind of a rude think to ask, but. What would you think of hiring me as a full time photographer for Gavin?" he asked a hand running through his hair. "You've seen my work that I just did for you, and you can google my name and hundreds of pictures and articles would come up." he rested his elbow on the table and looking at him. Wondering what he would say.

The man was thinking when Gavin walked in, tossing his bag of cheetos at him. Gavin smiled, sitting down in his chair. He took a drink out of his water bottle, and his manager nodded at him to walk out. He raised an eyebrow, but walked out anyways. "You have nice work. And I have no doubt your pictures will come out great. But before you even consider it, you need to understand- we travel on two tour busses. Everyone has a certain amount of space they're allowed. Which means all your cameras can't come with you. You need to get up and ready to the stage before the crowd is, and before they even get the barriers up or your camera will be broken." He leaned back in his chair. "And if you're thinking about sleeping with him, you'd better not leave any marks. He is constantly having pictures being taken, and he doesn't need rumors floating around that he's sleeping with one of his photographers."

Clinton nodded, trying to process everything. The thought of leaving a good chunk of his cameras scared him. He had close to half a million dollars worth of camera equipment. He chewed on his lip, thinking about if the possibility of breaking one of his cameras was worth it to be with Gavin. "How much money?" he asked, "My cameras are worth a lot, my time is worth a lot also. If I go with you I could be losing a lot of money, and clients." he said simply. The money wasn't important to him, the clients weren't either. They would always be there. He just needed to know if something broke he would have enough money to fix it.
"Um..I don't really think Gavin and I are in that type of relationship.." he said trailing off, not really sure what to say. "But I'll keep that in mind in case something happens."
