Cole tensed as he was spun, yanking on his arm, and lowered his gaze when he realized who it was. He shook his head mutely, teeth taking in his lip again, not daring gaze past the older male.

He just stood there, arm loose in the grip, refusing to look at him. He shouldn't have yelled at his brother like that...

August moved to tip his chin back, then thought better of it. "I'm sorry.. I should have just kept walking." He said quietly. "I'll see you around, okay?" He leaned down, kissing his neck gently before walking past Jacob and Tyler, searching his pockets for his keys.

Cole looked away sharply, didn't want to deal with them. He'd never yelled, not since the accident. He moved to sit on the bench dejectedly, drawing his knees up and burying his face.

His older brothers left him alone. Eyes peered between his knees, spotting the keys August must have dropped. He only closed his eyes.

August looked back and sighed. 'I'm gonna shrivel away.' He thought walking back to get his keys. He bent down, picking them up before walking over to Cole, tipping his chin back.

"Vee have vays of making you look." He said, squatting down in front of him. "Been a vampire ten fucking years and I feel like I'm a hundred." He groaned, holding onto the bench.

"Quit hanging your head, kay?" He said, looking up at him. "I'ma send mice to nibble on your toes while you sleep. You're too damn cute to frown. That stops today."

Cole only gazed at him halfheartedly, shook his head stubbornly. "I-..that-..." He sighed, frustrated, and rubbed at his face. "He just-...." He trailed a hand over the bench, burying his face against his knees again.

What did this guy care anyway? Jacob would only try to keep him away..he was too damn protective.

"Damnit." He tipped his chin back again. "I'm not scared of your brother, okay? What's he gonna do? Eat me? Send me back ten years? You could easily do the same thing." He put his head on Cole's knees so he couldn't. He looked up at him, his green eyes slowly turning back to white. And if he got hungry enough, to red.

"What you gonna do now? You ain't got no choice but to look up or have me in your face. And I bite, remember?" He smirked a bit, watching the boy.

Cole scowled. "Jerk," He mumbled, staring down at his lap instead, face burning some. He picked at his jeans again, breaths soft as he tried not to look up at him.

"Nobody understands," He mumbled, didn't offer further explanation. He glared up at August. "Why you trying so hard? People usually give up by now.." And again he looked away, the words simple, as if he tried to get them to give up with him. "Even Jake and Ty gave up..."

August shrugged, looking up at him. "Look down again and I'm gonna kiss you. That's a promise." He thought for a moment, not normally what he did.

"I dunno. Maybe because I think you're kinda cute. And because I don't stop when I have my mind set on something. And I have my mind set on making you talk again. Until you talk people's ears off. I'm not like everyone else. I'm fucking annoying, and I'll admit it. But I know when I see something I like, and you're just gonna have to deal with it. You're gonna talk." He wrapped his arms around Cole's legs, figuring if he fell, he was taking the boy with him.

Cole huffed. "Whatever," He mumbled, eyes fixing on the bench out of simple habit. He scraped his teeth together with the action of working his jaw self consciously.

"You're not gonna make me.." He mumbled. "They can't then you can't." He shook his head.

August leaned up, kissing the boy gently. "I said quit looking down, damnit." He breathed, looking down at him, his eyes bright with the challenge. "Don't compare me to your brothers. If they gave up so damn easy, then that's their fault. You said three sentences earlier. You were gonna say more until Tweedle Dumb came up."
