Oleander felt Scotty's hands on her stomach, and gently rubbed his arms.
"I talked to my boss.." The woman said, fishing in her bag for something. "And he said he would love it if you let someone come and take pictures of your stomach. Since we're short on models. We would pay for your sonograms and medical care and everything. Plus give you a third of the profit from the magazine sales. If you're interested. Cause, like I said, we're really short on models. And I don't think I've seen a girl quite as pretty as you.
Oleander bit her lip, looking up at Scotty. "What do you think?"

Scotty nodded as the women talked to Ollie, he wasn't sure that he liked the idea of other people seeing pictures of Ollie's stomach, or even sonograms of their child. He did know though that they were low on money and right now could not afford a baby with out multiple jobs.
"Well, I'm fine with it. As long as like there wont be any nude pics..I'm not chill with that." he said biting his lip and pecking her cheek. "So you would pay for all of the medical expenses directed at the baby and we would get some of the sales money?" he asked thinking about it. Honestly they needed the money, and Ollie was beautiful she deserved to be a model. "Will it just be for the pregnancy or will it continue after?"

"No, no no." The woman said with a laugh. "No, just her stomach. And her, if she wants. Nothing revealing. The sonograms are just yours. All we would like its to know how long the baby is and how much it weighs. Those wont be shown to even us. We pay for all the medical bills, and she gets paid for every shoot, plus a portion of the magazine sales. We continue to pay for a year after the child is born- salary and medical bills. Unless she wants to come work for us. In which case, we will provide medical care for your entire family." She handed Oleander a card, and she looked at it curiously. She handed it to Scotty, not understanding the numbers.
"That's what we're willing to pay per shoot, her salary with the magazine sales, and my number at the bottom. You guys can talk it over. My boss just sounds really interested." The lady said with a smile.

He nodded at her, trying to understand everything she was saying. If she continued on modeling for them it would be nice, he wouldn't have to go to school and could rake care of the baby while she was working.
He took the card and read it over, surprised by how much it would pay per shoot. He knew that he could get a lot of things for their family with that much cash. Plus having full insurance would be nice."Sounds good. Thank you." he said smiling at her before grabbing Ollie's hand again and walking into the store. "You can make a lot of money, would be nice. We wouldn't have to buy everything cheap then."

"If you're okay with it, then I'll do it." She said, squeezing his hand. "She said it's fun. But I've never modeled before so I wouldn't know." She followed him into the mall, trying hard to keep up with his long strides. She watched the mannequins in the windows, and jumped as one of them moved. She moved closer to Scotty, holding his hand tight.
"Scotty?" She asked, looking up at him. "Am I your girlfriend now?" She stopped, looking over at the fountain. She pulled him over to it, sticking her hand in the falling water. "It's pretty. But it's cold." She said, shaking the water off of her hand.

He smiled down at her and put his arm around her shoulder pulling her close. "Of course it's okay with me Ollie." he said "I haven't modeled either." he laughs as he once again grabs her hand. "But I think it would be fun. They will dress you up, put makeup on you and take pictures of you." he bit his lip thinking for a moment, "Would bright lights bother you?" he asked thinking about flashes, and how the area would be brightly lit.
"Of course you are my girlfriend." he said smiling down at her. "We are a family now. Nothing can change that." he said sitting down on the ledge of the fountain, he cupped her cheek and kissed her slowly, before he pulled away he rubbed his thumb along her cheek and looked into her eyes.
"You like the fountain?" he asked quietly watching her run her hands through it. "Ace loves water.." he said softly thinking about the boy and wondering if he was alright.

"No, sunlight bothers me." She said. She smiled as he took her hand, then kissed her. She kissed him back, moving to sit on his leg.
"I don't like the water. I like how pretty it looks. Like.. it's a bunch of diamonds or something." She said, laying her head on his shoulder. She kissed his neck, watching all the other couples walk past, holding hands. They all looked so happy. She wondered if Scotty was really happy, if he really wanted her and the baby around. But, of course, he wouldn't have much of a choice. This was his hell, afterall. He hadn't asked for a baby and a girlfriend, he had asked for his boyfriend at the cabin. She felt bad, having taken that away. 'Maybe me and the baby can just go back to the lake.. The merpeople will help me take care of it. And that way, Scotty can have his boyfriend back.'
She slowly slid off of his lap, tucking her hands into her pockets. "I'm sorry, Scotty.." She mumbled.

He smiles and pulls her back onto his lap."Don't be sorry." he move the hair away from the back of her neck and gently kisses her newly exposed skin. "I want you. I want you and the baby more than anything." he rested his chin on her shoulder. "I'm happy..I don't know how this is hell..but I'm happier than I ever have been."
He stood up and grabbed her hand. "Shall we continue with shopping. It might be fun to go to the baby store and find something." he said with a smile.

She took his hand, and followed him to the baby store. She looked around, and was completely and utterly amazed at the stuff.
"Oh my gosh Scotty. The clothes are so tiny!" She said, holding up a newborn dress. She held it up to her stomach, smiling. She put it back up, and followed him around the store, admiring the tiny shoes, the little bows, the pacifiers, bottles, and cribs.
"I honestly never thought I would be having a baby." She said, picking up a book. She couldn't read the cover, but she saw a woman with a large stomach on the front. She put it back, spotting the blankets. "They're so soft." She said, running her hand across one.

He smiled, watching her look at the clothes and get excited by everything she saw. He had to admit that they were all cute..and tiny. "Well, they are for babies." he said picking another one up and pressing it against his chest. "I want a very well dressed kid." he said hanging the clothes back up and following her as she walked around picking up and looking at everything.
"I never thought I would be a dad at 17." he said with a smile picking up the book she sat down and flipping through it. "You want me to teach you how to read?" he asked walking over to her, the book still in his hand.
