"Please." She honestly was afraid of her baby thinking she was dumb because she couldn't read or write. She wanted to at least be able to spell it's name. She picked up a book of nursery rhymes, holding it out to him. "What's this say, Scotty?" She asked, and heard someone snicker. She looked down at her feet, and the shoes he had tied. "Nevermind. I don't wanna know." She said, taking it back from him and putting it on the shelf, clearly hurt.
"Can we go look at something else now, Scotty?" She asked, looking up at him. "I don't like all these books. Can we look at the stuffed animals?"

He was just about to point out what the word was when someone snickered at her. He looked up and stared the person down. His jaw clenched in his eyes full of hatred. "We can work on it at home." he whispered, pulling her close to him. Still glaring at the person who had made fun of her.
"We can look at whatever you want to look at." he said with a smiling pulling her close and kissing her forehead. "Don't let people get to you okay. You are perfect in my eyes, even if you don't know how to read." he said with a smile kissing her gently. He then grabbed her hand and walked with her over to the stuffed animals.

She picked up a little teddy bear, hugging it close. She played with one of it's ears, then sat it back down. "I like this one." She said, picking up a frog. She wiggled it at Scotty, smiling at him. "Ribbit." She hugged it close, wondering if the baby would like this one.
"What if we did it's room like a rain forest? With frogs and we could paint the walls green and find other little animals that live there. Because I don't know. Do Monkies live there?" She asked, holding out a monkey plushie.

He smiled at the idea of their child having a rain forest as their bedroom. "That seems like a fun idea." he said picking up a butterfly plushie and setting it on her head playfully. "Yea, monkies live in there." he said with a smiling grabbing her hand again.
"Shall we go and get some food and clothes for us?" he said with a laugh, "We came out here for that remember?" he said smiling and walking with her out of the store. "Babe, at home I can teach you how to read and do math and everything. They have books and programs that could help you. I know they are for little kids but then we would just have them..."

"I just wanna know how to read and write. The merpeople said that some of the slaves didn't even know that. You know? When they had slaves down in Texas and L... Lou.. Other states down there. But some of them learned. But we kind of have to know now.. Or they think we're stupid." She smelled the doughnuts in the foodcourt and her stomach rumbled again.
"You never said hunger pains were.. well, a pain." She said, moving close to him as a guy walked past her, eyeing her with bright blue eyes.

He rolled his eyes when she compared herself to a slave. "Ollie, I am super smart, I can teach you how to read and write. Also some basic math things." he said squeezing her hand as they walked into the food court. "And don't compare yourself to a slave. That just isn't right...maybe we should work on history too." he said with a smile.
He laughed and kissed the side of her head, "Yea, being hungry isn't fun." he bit his lip as he walked someone walked by, eyeing her. He sighed and glared at the person, pulling her closer to his body. "Hm..what should we try. See anything that looks or smells good to you?"

She looked around, shrugging. She spyed the nacho cart, and pointed at it. "What's that? I'm hungry, let's get that." She said, pulling him over to it. She looked up at him as he ordered, watching the way his jaw moved. She bit her lip, wrapping her arms around him as she buried her face in his chest. She closed her eyes, listening to the people around them.
She looked over his shoulder and spied a small little girl, toddling slowly, her mother behind her. She smiled, watching her little blonde curls bounce with every step. "Look at that baby, Scotty."

He smiled at her and walked with her over to the nacho cart. He ordered some simple nachos and then some with jalapenos, also ordering two bottles of water. He smiled down at her and kissed the top of her head rubbing her arm as he wrapped herself around him.
He turned around and smiled at the small toddler, "That's going to be our kids in a few years." he said with a smile grabbing the nachos and water bottles. He then looked around trying to find an open seat. "Let's go over there." he said pointing to a small table all alone. "We can be alone there.." he said with a smile.

"Oh yeah. Because being alone with me didn't make us end up with a kid." She said jokingly, taking one of the nachos and putting it into her mouth.
"-s hot." He said, making an O with her mouth and blowing the steam out of it. She chewed it, then swallowed following him to their seats. She sat down across from him, taking another nacho. She bit into it, looking over at him.
"What's those green things?" She asked, pointing to his nachos. They didn't look good, and she winkled her nose. "They look like bugs, Scotty."

He laughed and ran a hand through his hair. "Hey, I forgot you needed to wear a condom with a chick." he said before popping some jalapenos into his mouth and taking a drink of water.
He laughed and finished chewing the chips and cheese that were in his mouth. "They are jalapenos. They are a spicy pepper." he said popping a chip into his mouth that was covered in cheese, jalapenos and sour cream. "I like them a lot but not every one does." he said simply. "You can try one, but I'm not sure you will like it."
