Adaleah stepped into the coffee shop and yawned. They had tried working on unpacking last night but Skylar had had it in his head to throw packing peanuts at her instead. Now the apartment was a bigger mess. She smiled at the girl behind the counter. "Coffee with creamer, please," She asked, voice a delicate and friendly ring. She payed for her coffee and glanced towards the young man playing guitar, a large dog sleeping at his feet. It took her a moment to realize her was blind, and she smiled at the dog before scooting her petite frame into a back table, hazel eyes looking around the quiet little shop. She pulled her phone out, texting a friend back home, and yawned softly before sipping at her coffee. She glanced at the man again, intrigued by how well he played despite being blind.

Nash wandered in some time later, his grey beanie pulled down over his ears. He could hear much better now, was surprised to hear Rex from the other side of the shop. But even therapy wasn't helping his speech. He guessed he could live with a stutter. He ordered a black coffee, then carried it and his books to the table a pretty blonde was sitting at.
"H-hey, Mister Rex." He said with a smile, nodding towards Dakota on the floor. "M-mind if I sit here?" He asked her, smiling down at her.

Adaleah glanced towards the guy who came in. She guessed he wasn't much older than her, but plenty told her she looked too oung to be eighteen. She watched him pass the blind guy, who smiled. "Hey Nash." Guessing they were friends or locals to the shop, she looked up in surprise when he came towards the table she was at, fingers pausing in playing with the silever taper in one of her ears. He was cute, stutter attention catching. But she wasn't one to jump on to things, and certainly not one to judge no matter how many times she had been called a whore for her looks, especially by Zain's old buddies. "Hi, that's fine." She smiled again, taking another swallow of coffee and gazing out the window a moment, trying to memorize her surroundings. She looked back at the guy who had been referred to as Rex.

Nash took a seat across from her, sitting his books down, then his coffee. He walked back up to the counter, walking back with a doughnut in his mouth. He tore a piece off, squatting down to give it to Dakota and pat his head before he took his seat again. He took a bite of his doughnut, flipping open his book to the last page he was on.
"I l-like your shirt." He told her, then looked back down at his book. He jotted something down in his notebook, chewing absently on his lip.

"Thanks." She looked up from watching him feed the dog, and the guy smirk at the sound of him licking his lips, tail thumping. She didn't bother him though, since he was working on something. She had learned patience, somehow along the lines of her family, and sipped her coffee in quiet content, continuing to look around occasionally.

Nash finished the chapter he had been trying to finish in class, and closed his book. He slid his books to the edge of the table, looking down at his phone under the table before slipping it back into his pocket. He looked back up at her, smiling a bit before taking a sip of his coffee. His phone went off, and he pulled it out, looking to see a text from Bee. He texted her back, sitting his phone on the table as he leaned back in his chair, watching Rex and Dakota.

Adaleah caught his smile and smiled back. She followed his gaze, shifting her weight in her seat. "He' really good.." She commented, intrigued. She sheepish, light ring of a laugh passed her lips when Rex called a thank you, realizing that of corse he could probably hear better, being blind.

Nash smiled when Rex heard her, turning his cup around on the table. "Y-yeah. He's in here a lot w-when I am. Him a-and Dakota." He took a sip of his coffee, looking down at the table. His cousin texted him, and he just glanced at it, not really worried about what she had to say.
"I used to w-wonder how he could play, but y-you don't have to look at a guitar a-and play it. He's just really good."
