Kylie smiled, glancing over at Koty before turning to face the two. She waved back, exchanging glances between the two. "Hi," She mumbled over the music. Not sure of what to say, she picked up her drink, fixing the straw to take a sip. "How have you been?" Her voice perked up, her eyes looking up from the slush. To herself, she sounded awkward. It had been tiring at the school. Meetings, dealing with make-up tests. In fact, she had just gotten off. It was Dakota who convinced her to come out tonight, Kylie was kind of glad she did.

"Good, found our old buddy bassist and got the band back together." He laughed happily, patting the taller male's shoulder. "We're signed up to perform for Spring Fest, too. How've you been?" He ran a hand through his hair, reaching for his beer again and complaining as Trez swatted him as he passed.

Kylie smiled again at the man sitting next to Brandon, before focusing on her drink. The music seemed to play low in the background, it was a skill she had learned. Focusing on Brandon helped her hear him better. "I've been better. School is always the worse when it gets close to the end of the year. And well, you've met who I've been talking to all day," Her face tilted toward Dakota, a playful smile played over her lips.
Dakota returned the smile, "I'm not that bad." She was leaning up against the counter, her eyes watching the tables.

Brandon laughed. "There's a reason school ended for me after high school," He scoffed, smirked at the other young woman. "Not that bad says the one who accused me of making fun," He teased with a smile, Zayne watching them all quietly.
He glanced at Trez, who was leaning against the bar, seemingly breathless, and bit his lip. "Ey Trez!! You should sit down...." There were two people running it, and he knew Trez should try and avoid a seizure.

Kylie sighed, everyone seemed to say that. But there really wasn't another job for her, not around here at least. In the school she got to teach about her passion, there was no other photography gig around here. Unless she started her own, but she would need a lot more money. "That's what everyone tells me," She gave a smile, before taking another sip of her drink. It was pretty good, Dakota had gotten better at mixing.
"It was the heat of the moment." Dakota looked over at Trez. They had worked together a couple of times since she had been here, but besides that they never talked. Shrugging, Koty danced away as someone waved her over to get a drink.

Brandon smirked faintly, shifting his weight. As Dakota left to help someone else, he excused himself and hopped off his stool, wandering to the end of the bar and behind it, grabbing the far taller male, Trez clearly barely able to even stand. He led him swiftly to the back room, sitting him down on the sofa, and handed him a glass of water that he filled up.
Zayne bit his lip as he watched them go, smiled faintly over at Kylie. He recognized hee somewhat, from the school. But he had never ralked to her, since he couldn't speak. Plus being a math and ASL teacher kept his hands pretty full. Literally. He waved Dakota over, tapping his empty beer bottle in question.

Dakota walked back and forth, bringing beers to those who wouldn't leave the bar. Sometimes tiring, but it was never a boring day at work. Her eyes were always on the move, looking for someone who needed a drink. Kylie's drink was half-way gone as Brandon left to take his friend somewhere. He looked sick, which reminded Kylie of the sick girl in her room this morning. She shuddered at the thought. The girl hadn't made it to the bathroom in time.
Looking from her drink to Zayne, Kylie returned the smile. They worked together, she knew that, but they had never talked. Unsure of what to say, her attention turned back to Dakota who was on her way back with a beer for Zayne. "Here ya go," Dakota smiled, and stood in-between the two, leaning against the bar. "So, he leaves and you turn into a mouse?"
"No," Kylie looked down at her drink and placed it on the counter, "You were busy."
"He's not," Dakota shrugged, looking at Zayne.

Zayne signed a thank you with a free hand, even if she wouldn't understand. He popped the top and took a swallow, tilting his head to watch the other to, amusement crossing his face and causing another smile to tilt his lips. He grabbed his pen from behind his ear in a random hand. 'You talk, I'll write,' He jotted down, reaching for his beer again.

Dakota watched his hands, her mind falling to the obvious, but he could hear. Which ruled it out, she smiled and didn't bother to ask questions. It was his business, not hers. Her fingers tapped against bar, quietly. "If she'll talk, bonus points for you." Her eyes glanced over at Kylie, who shook her head.
"I talk," Kylie yawned, looking over at what he wrote. "She just never lets me talk." A smile rippled across her lips, as her hand began to stir the straw around. Dakota gave a small chuckle, her hand pulling the rag from her back pocket. Kylie shook her head, her eyes scanning to see if the other two had came back.
"You never have anything interesting. Maybe, if you got out more.." Koty trailed off, not bothering to finish the sentence. She knew Kylie went out, but it was always at night or early in the morning.
Kylie just shrugged. Dakota was the only person she really talked to. It was the easiest way to live. Falling in love when your a pirate, never a good thing. But Kylie knew with Dakota, she'd never have to worry about it. And if she stuck to late nights, early morning it was a less chance of running into the 'one'. Her mind was drifting to the morning she had met Brandon. It was funny to her. He was like her height, and they had a fun time eating breakfast. "You teach at the high school, right?"

Zayne smirked faintly, hoping Trez wasn't having too bad a seizure, if he was having one at all. He nodded at her words once she questioned him, picked up his pen again. 'Sure do, math and ASL.' He slid the notebook her way, leaning back, and yawned before stretching out some.
