Ace was just getting back to school from his morning rounds at the hospital. He was tired, especially now that he was being told he needed to start junior and senior classes. Even though he argued he was just a freshman, they were insisting. 'You have a bright future.'
"Yeah. Making beds." He mumbled, putting his book sack on one of the tables along with his lunch bag and the small bag of McDonald's on top of it. He started searching the shelves for the book he needed, fumbling for a pen in his scrubs. He put the end of it in his mouth, pulling the book off the shelf. He carried it back to his table, sitting down in his chair. His blue eyes looked around for anyone else before he opened his breakfast sandwich, flipping to the index of the book.
"Allergies.. Anatomy.. Arthritis.. Uh.." He flipped through a few more pages, then flipped to the section on neurology. He pulled out his notebook and started to take notes, chewing on his lip.

There was a large, annoying buzzing noise come from the side of Ripley's head. It just wouldn't stop, and it seemed to be wanting her to rise early for a Chemistry test that she needed to study for. Ripley groaned, and hit the off button on her alarm clock, regretting the promise she made to Harley about getting up early to go to school, and study. The redhead rolled out of her small bed, and grabbed a towel from the closet to take a quick shower. Ripley wanted to get there early enough to cram for the test. It took her an hour just to finish getting ready, much to her Aunt's annoyance. Ripley pulled on her outfit, grabbing her leather jacket before meeting Harley in the living room. The redhead smiled at her Aunt, and they walked out of the apartment.
It was twenty minutes later did Ripley find herself in the library, looking for a table to sit at. She found a seat near the back where she could peacefully read her text book, and sip on her latte. The redhead flipped her hair over her shoulder, and buried her head in the book. Ripley yawned lightly when she heard someone enter the library. She looked up to see a young boy in scrubs. It peaked Ripley's curiosity to see someone in scrubs. She wondered if he volunteered at the hospital. Ripley shivered at the thought. That was the last place she had seen her father, and she would much rather not revisit it. Ripley closed her book, and threw in the backpack that was next to her. She grabbed it, and swung it over her shoulder, then grabbed the latte she was had been sipping on.
Ripley walked towards the boy, and cleared her throat slightly. "Is this seat taken?
[/color]" Harley had always told Ripley to have manners. Ripley usually wasn't one for asking, but she decided that it was better to be polite then just plop down next to the boy, and scare him. [/blockquote][/blockquote][/blockquote][/size]

Ace was mumbling to himself, reading off the page as quietly as he could. He crumpled the paper and shoved it in the bag, which in turn he shoved into his lunch bag. He knew Clinton would get mad about it later, but he knew all too well that Ace wasn't neat and tidy when it came to his lunch bag and book bag. He looked up as the girl came over, and simply shook his head. He wasn't one to speak a lot, especially if he didn't have to. He fished in his bag for his bottle of water, putting it between his legs as he turned the page. He twisted off the cap carefully, reading slowly over the page.
"Dork." Lucas said, shoving his head forward just as Ace picked up his water. It spilled on his arm, slowly climbing up into his sleeve. Ace shivered, watching Luc walk past. He sighed, sitting the bottle on the table as he started to try to get the water off of him.
"Like glue.." He mumbled, shaking his arm in an attempt to fling it off. He wasn't hurt; there wasn't much the water could do other than just snake around his body. Ace finally managed to shake the droplets off, sitting back down in his chair. It wasn't like he was the only person that was considered a freak around here. The town was full of them apparently. 'Lucas has a lot of room to talk being Kurt Cobain and all..' He thought, looking over at the girl.
"Sorry.." He mumbled quietly, his blue eyes watching her before they wandered back to his book.

Ripley settled down in the chair across from the boy, and watched him lazily. Ripley wasn't much for observing people, but this boy sort of peaked her interest, and Ripley was unsure why. She didn't have many "dork" friends as some of the people in this town called them. The redhead tilted her head to the left when he just went on reading, and messing with his bottle cap. Ripley was starting to see that he wasn't much of a social person, and that would figure since she itched for conversation from the boy. Instead, she propped a foot up on the table, and tipped her chair back. Ripley was okay with the silence. She could be quiet if she needed to be. It didn't mean that she liked it, but she was prepared to wait it out.
The redhead rolled her eyes when a kid shoved the poor boy's head forward. What a jerk. Ripley rolled her eyes at the guy, who must think he was a bad ass from pushing someone's head down, and spilling water on them. Oh how scary was that? Ripley thought for a moment before grabbing the pencil from her bag, and throwing it at the back of the head of the guy. "Jerk,
[/color]" muttered Ripley. Amazingly it had hit him dead on. Ripley thanked her Archery for that. Her coach was always raving about how good she was, but Ripley only did it for a hobby. Ripley raised a brow at his apology. " Why are you apologizing? You didn't do anything wrong.[/color]" Ripley's brown eyes looked over his face with confusion. She didn't understand why he was saying sorry when he hadn't done anything wrong to her. [/blockquote][/blockquote][/blockquote][/size]

Ace looked up at her question, biting his lip. Yeah, it was kind of dumb for him to be apologizing for something he hadn't done. But he still felt guilty that he was being made a fool of in front of someone he didn't even know. "Just for Lucas being such a jerk.." He mumbled, shrugging his shoulders slightly. He looked back down at his book, reaching up to push his dark hair out of his eyes. He bit his lip again, pulling his notebook close again so he could finish taking notes. He glanced at his watch, realizing he still had a little while before he had to get to class.
He closed the book and walked over to the shelf to put it back before he grabbed another one. And by the looks of it, he was going to be needing it to study later. So he walked up with his ID to the librarian and checked it out under his name before he walked back to the table. He sat down in his seat, looking over at the girl. "I'm Ace.." He mumbled, holding out his hand politely. He still felt guilty, even if Luc's actions weren't his fault. "I like your hair.. It reminds me of my friend Charlie's hair.. Only her's is really orange.."
