Nixon was barely back from the dead and was already on the prowl again. If he couldn't get to Nevada, he'd get to everyone around him. He was so close to Jayson, he could taste it. He was ready to torture the boy until he couldn't be tortured anymore. But not until he started getting scared, not until he knew Nixon was coming after him. When? Well, that was up to Nixon to decide.
Nixon looked up as Peaches stepped out of the back of the club, his red eyes glowing in the dark surrounding him. "Hey, Princess." He smirked, and she looked up. He could see why she always had eyes on her now. She was drop dead gorgeous.
"Pardon?" She asked, and he stepped closer to me.
"Well, a pretty lady like you doesn't need to be out here in the dark alone. You never know who's lurking." He said, and she raised a perfectly plucked eyebrow. He pulled a knife from his pocket and drove it into her stomach. She gasped, dropping to her knees. His eyes dimmed and he turned, leaving her to bleed there on the sidewalk. "Shame to ruin your white dress, love."

"Damian, you need to go home." Khole caught the wondering boy by the arm and pulled him back onto the sidewalk. He shook his head, laughing as Damian tripped on his feet. "One day, I'll get 'emm." Damian mumbled as he walked back to his friend and patted him on the back.
Khole followed after the boy, thankful that he could walk without falling every five seconds. "Get who?" He asked, watching as Damian got closer to something laying in the way. Damian brushed the hair from the girl's face, peering down at her. "Whachya doin down here for?" He asked, too drunk to really notice the stain on her dress. Khole peeked over Damian, his face going into shock when he realized who it was. "Damian! Get back," He pushed Damian over, only getting a giggle in response.
Khole pressed his hand to her stomach, lifting her head up slightly. "Peaches.. Peach, can you hear me?" He asked, but he didn't wait for an answer. He lifted her up into his arms, bridal style, and began walking to the main road to hopefully flag someone down. "Damian, call 911." He urged, trying to hold her close. Damian looked confused, but pulled his phone out and began to dial numbers. "It's not working.." His voice sadden as he looked the girl over.
"9-1-1, it's only three numbers." Khole shook his head, but Damian finally got it typed into his phone. "We need you. Afterlife." He shouted as soon as someone picked up. It was a few more moments, but soon he shut the phone and gave Khole a chessy smile.

Had Peaches been an angel with white wings, she might not have bled near as much as she had. But no, her wings were dark and her life was shortened. Little did any of them know, Nixon knew exactly the boy Khole was with, and Nixon knew who he liked. Did they know Jayson? He didn't know. But he was going to hurt the young girl anyways, regardless. And maybe he'd leave a message for Jayce this time.
Peaches woke up in the hospital, blinded by the white lights. She was sure she'd died again, until she heard the people moving around outside her room. She couldn't remember anything before getting to work that day, and all she knew was she was in horrible pain. "Nn.." She moaned, reaching up to rub her face. But she soon realized she had a tube down her throat and gagged, digging her nails into the bed. She looked over at Khole, wondered how long he'd been sitting there, why he was sitting there. "I wanna go home.." She cried to him. "Why's my stomach hurt, Khole?" She asked, trying to push the sheet back, but it seemed like it weighed a million pounds.

He watched Damian as he slept off his drunken stooper. He mumbled in his sleep, moving every once and awhile. They had at the hospital waiting for Peaches to wake up. Khole looked sick, the color from his cheeks had been washed away when he was cleaning the blood from his hands. His eyes wondered over to her as she moaned. "Don't move," He reached out, taking her by the hand. "I found you in the alley and you were bleeding out of the stomach." He choked, "The doctor's said you were stabbed." Squeezing her hand, he scooted the chair closer to her bed.

All Peaches could think was her job was dancing and waiting tables, she couldn't have a scar on her stomach. It was bad enough she had two on her back from where her wings were ripped out. She held as tightly to his hand as she could, looking up at him. She bit her lip, looking away at Damian sleeping. "I don't know how he's sleeping like that.." She said quietly, praying that it didn't scar. She couldn't think of anyone who would want to stab her though, and was confused by the matter.

Khole managed to laugh a little, glancing Damian's way. "I guess being drunk helps." He gave her a half smile, but it didn't last long. Khole wasn't sure how to feel. He was angry, sick, sad, and happy. And they were all bottled away, waiting to explode. Chewing on his lip, his eyes washed over Peaches face. "I.. who would have stabbed you?" His thumb rubbed over her hand, trying to give him something else to concentrate on.

Peaches just shrugged. She had no idea. "I guess some drunk person.. I don't know.. I don't have any enemies." She said quietly, pulling his hand a little closer. She was just glad it was Khole who had found her and not some crazy person, or someone who wouldn't care. "It's a shame this is how we meet up again." She said quietly, forcing a smile. She looked up as a boy came in with scrubs on. But something about his eyes bothered her, like she'd seen them before.
"Do you know you name, princess?" He asked.
"Peaches Harrison." She said quietly, her stomach turning uneasily.
"Pretty name for a pretty girl. Your stomach hurts?"
"Yeah, kinda.." She mumbled.
"Well I got a shot for you. It'll make it all go away." He said with a smile, reaching for her arm. She pulled her arm away, shaking her head.

Khole looked down to the floor at her answer, it didn't make him any happier. But how could it? At least if she knew, he could do something about it. Now, he just felt helpless. "Wouldn't be as bad if I was in the hospital bed," He admitted. Khole much rather be in the hospital bed. He would have felt ten times better if it was vice versa. His eyes wonder upwards as someone came in, looking the guy in the scrubs over. Chewing on his lip, he looked back to Peaches. Khole sat up protectivly as he watched the boy move closer. He wasn't in the mood to trust anyone, especially not with her.

He raised an eyebrow, but she didn't want to let him poke her with a needle. As far as she knew, it wasn't a pain killer in there. "I'm not hurting.." She said quietly, and he shrugged, leaving the room. She eased up despite the horrible pain in her stomach. He pulled Khole's hand closer, wishing he could be closer. "It's so cold in this bed.." She mumbled, looking down to see she was bleeding again and she gagged, bringing her hand to her mouth as her stomach turned. She drew her knees up, knew she didn't have anything on under the sheets. "I hate blood.. God, I hate blood." She breathed, looking over at the wall so the sick feeling would pass.

He watched the interaction quietly, his eyes still following the boy in scrubs as he left. A small smile pulled at his lips as she pulled his hand closer, and he squeezed it. "I'd keep you warm, but I don't wanna hurt you.. so do you wan-" He paused, jumping at the sight of blood. "I get a nurse, right?" He asked hurriedly, but rushed to the door and grabbing the first one he saw. He knew it was a stupid question to ask, but Khole couldn't help it. He wanted her to be alright, but he didn't want anyone else to hurt her. He brought the nurse close, and stood between her and Peaches.
