Peaches looked up from the book she had been reading when he woke up and walked over to the desk. She looked back down at her book, turning the page as she read the next page. She reached up to fix one of her slipping curls, pushing the pin tighter. She turned over onto her back, drawing a leg up. She swayed her leg back and forth, reading the page slowly before she turned it, then sat it face-down on the bed. She walked over to Khole, holding down her dress. She peered over his shoulder before she rested her chin on it.
"Learning to read French?" She asked, then pointed to something that sounded good. "Smothered chicken and mac and cheese. Unless you're a steak guy." She smirked before she walked to the bathroom to spray her hair.

"I don't wanna try to look for steak," Khole called as she headed to the bathroom. He dialed room service, placing the order along with some whine. He got up, walking over to her bed and picking up the book she was reading. He looked over the front cover, looking up as she walked back into the room. "You're about the only person I know that reads anymore." Of course he was referring to books. He spent all day with Gryphon who would search random facts on her phone and read them aloud.
He gave her a toothy grin as he reached out and gingerly wiped a fallen eye lash from her cheek. "Do I still look cute?" He teased, noticing his hair in the mirror before walking over and opened the door for room service. The girl pushed the cart into the middle of the room, Khole grabbing a couple bucks from his bag. "Thanks, sweetie." He smiled, watching her close the door behind her. "Hungry?" Khole asked, placing the platters on the table along with the whine.

Peaches was making sure all of her curls were perfect when she heard his comment. "Well, that's a shame! I used to read to your grandmother every day out of that book. And when we finished, we would start again. People should read more. Beats watching paint dry." She said, looking up as he came in. She reached up, running her fingers through his hair.
"Of course you do. You have something about you that's kinda hard to deny is cute." She said with a smile, poking his nose before she got back to work on her hair. She walked out after he sat the trays down, fishing through her hair for her bandana. She tied it around her head, then sat down, crossing her legs. "Mm.. That depends. What's on the menu for tonight, mon amour?" She asked with a smirk, playing with the lace at the bottom of her nightie.

"I don't watch the pain dry. I just watch the grass grow," He shrugged, laughing lightly as she ran her hand through his hair. His nose wrinkled at the poke of her finger.
Khole placed two whine glasses on the table, lifting up the covers from the platter and placing them on the trey. "Chicekn, mac and cheese, and some whine. If you want some," Using the cork screw, he began to pour it into her glass, stopping as it was half filled and poured some into his. He took a seat, looking across the table at Peaches. "What's the book about?" He asked, poking at the chicken with his fork.

She took a sip of her wine before she started to cut into her chicken. "It's an old story. This black woman -and I'm not trying to be racist; it was just written during the time of slavery- died and this boy had to bury her and she had a son and he went forever to find the little boy. It's a really good book. Even if it wasn't meant for adults. But that can be our little secret." She winked a him, taking a bite of her chicken. She poked the macaroni with her fork before she took a bite of it, looking over at him.
"Mm.. You remind me of someone. I just can't put my finger on it." she said, taking another sip of her wine.

He cut into his chicken as she began talking, putting a small piece of chicken into his mouth before looking up to her. His eyes watched as her lips formed the words. Only to look back down as he swallowed and cut another bite. Khole laughed as she finished, looking back up as she took a sip of her whine. "I'm a one of kind," winking playfully before putting another bite into his mouth. He chewed thoughtfully before swallowing.
"You know, I never asked if you had someone special?" His eyebrow rose playfully, the glass of whine connecting with his lip as he took a small sip. He sat the glass down, picking at the mac and cheese.

"There's only one of everyone. Even twins." She said matter-of-factly. She took another bite of her chicken, looking over at the painting on the wall. She scanned the image with her eyes before she looked back at him, reaching carefully for her napkin. She wiped her mouth, putting her napkin in her lap before she spoke.
"Me? No. I was told I'm a little too.. off the wall for someone. So I've never really dated." She shrugged, taking another bite of her chicken. She looked back at the picture, tipping her head to the side as she tried to place where she had seen that before. "That's Florence." She said, pointing to the picture with the end of her fork. "Beautiful place."

Khole looked back at the picture as he chewed on a mixture of macaroni and cheese. His head nodded, his mouth too full and busy to voice a response. He took another sip of his whine before answering, "I've only seen the view of Estenberg's lake so anything's beautiful to me." It was that or the inside of night clubs. "I'd like to go up in one of those balloons to see all of London." Khole said in-between bites. He dropped his fork, running his hand through his hair before picking the fork up to take a bite.

"So.. You're terrified of being in a plane, but you're gonna go in a hot air balloon?" She teased, wrinkling her nose playfully. She finished off her macaroni and cheese, then took another sip of her wine. She reached over, tapping his leg with her foot. "You're quite a contradiction, aren't you?"
She took another bite of her chicken, crossing her legs back under the table. Something about him was very alluring, very attractive to her. And it made her want to get to know him better than she already did. "So, tell me. Why would such an adorable person such as yourself choose to be single? Because I'm sure you could have any girl wrapped around your pretty little fingers."

He laughed playfully at the tap of her foot. His eyes changing colors the longer he gazed at her. He wanted to take her away from the meal, and lead her over to the bed even if that was just it. Khole couldn't deny he felt more attracted to her than most of the girls he had met. She was quite the odd one. He shook his head, whisping the few strands that weren't upright around, taking another full bite of chicken and macaroni.
"I never said I didn't have girls," He paused for a moment, swallowing the rest of his food. "It's more of a one night fling, though. I guess relationships just aren't my thing," Khole teased. It was half of the truth, the rest would have been blaming it on his species. But he figured it was his own fault, he never actually tried to settle down. To him, it was exciting to go out every night and see what he could do.
