"Come on. Get up, you big lug." She told the dog, patting his back. She stood up, moving her gun back to it's original place.
"If you need anything, sir, please call me. I'm always at the station." She offered, knowing it got boring up here alone. She could always bring Rex up there. She took the dog's leash, waiting until Rex was ready to leave. Then she took his hand gently, guiding him slowly down the stairs. She walked out to her car, noticing something on the windshield. She opened the door for Rex, then snatched it off. She opened the door for Dakota, then climbed in. A picture fell out, and she bent down to pick it up. She slowly got into the car, putting her gun in Rex's lap. She looked down at the picture of her getting her gun out of the car, then opened the note. Another picture fell out, and she stared at it; her and Rex kissing at the coffee shop.
'Your boyfriend can't save you, Aldridge.' She stuffed all of it into the console, then started the car.
"So, where am I going?" She asked, pulling out of her parking spot.

Rex followed her out, the stairs not toobig a problem considering where he lived. He got into the car, Dakota clamboring around before getting comfortable in the back.
Tugging his seat belt on, he felt her set the gun in his lap, brushed his hands over it. "Loaded?" He teased softly, listening to the shuffle of papers. He didn't bother pry.
"Ah, the apartments back near the main part of town. Second upstairs one on the left side, first building." He rab a hand through his hair, clicking the key of her gun out some so it was easy access, but couldn't be set off accidentally.

"Of course it's loaded." She said with a forced laugh. "My guns are always loaded. Unless I just got done cleaning it." She drove quietly to his apartment, parking close. Even if she had just had coffee, she had to admit she was exhausted. She opened the door for Dakota, then opened the door for Rex, following him and Dakota up the narrow stair case. She waited for him to open the door, then followed him in, closing it softly behind her. She walked over to the couch, sitting down on it. She leaned back, stretching her legs out for a moment before pulling them back. She yawned, then folded her hands over her stomach.
"It's so quiet. Beats the station any day." She said, chewing on her lip.

Rex led her into the apartment in silence, letting Dakota go and finding his way to the couch to drop down beside her. "Yeah, it isn't much but it works. Easier to get around."
Even he didn't think he would ever be able to fully live alone and healthy like this. But he did, he had for awhile now.

Blake smiled, curling up against him. She wrapped her arms around his waist, laying her head on his shoulder.
"I like it.. Its not ever this quiet at the station. Even late at night. The phones are always ringing." She looked up at him, wondering why it had taken her so long to notice she felt this way. Why she hadn't put her stupid mental rules aside and just went for it. It was worth the shot, right?
She tipped his face to hers so she could look at him, running her fingers gently across his jaw. She smiled, raising his free hand up to her cheek. She ran her thumb across his lips, her eyes watching him intently. "You're pretty much everything I always dreamed about.." She said quietly, a smile playing on her lips.

Rex smiled faintly, hand tracing her cheek. He leaned in, kissed her gently with no hesitation at all. "Really? Because I never dreamed I would be," He teased, hazy memories floating through his head, the smell of coffee. He shook off the thought, maybe it was just her breath?
Another gentle smile.

She kissed him back, running her hand across his chest. "But you are.. Everything about you.." She said quietly, her hand stopping on his stomach. She kissed him gently, running her tongue across his bottom lip. 'Youre getting brave, aren't you?' She thought, reaching up to cup his cheek.

"Good to hear," He murmured, chuckling. He felt her tongue, lips parting some as he brought his other hand to the nape of her neck, fingertips tangling in her hair gently.
He kissed her again, then again, thumb brushing at her cheek tenderly.

She blushed, her heart pounding in her chest. She played with the end of his shirt, her fingers slipping just under the fabric. She ran her hand across the skin there, running her tongue slowly against his. She moved her hand up his stomach, pulling away a bit before kissing him again.

Rex felt the carress of her hand against his skin. It had been so long since he had been touched by another like this.
'Come on, let's go play hide and seek.'
The sudden words in his head. He couldn't contemplate where they came from, leaned forward, gently lying her beneath him, a hand finding her shoulder as he kissed her again, on hands and knees above her.
