Blake lead the handcuffed man to his cell, ignoring his taunting words. She had all intentions of keeping him away from her neck, though. Once was enough.

"You're pregnant?" He asked her, and she pushed him into the cell, undoing his cuffs. She shut the door, locking it with her key. "Come on. Tell me. What is it? A boy or a girl? You can't lie to me, pretty girl. I know you've got a baby."

"Would you kindly shut the fuck up?" She asked with a groan. She walked back to the front desk, finishing his papers. She slid them to the girl putting them in the computer, and started back to her desk.

"Dakota!" She exclaimed, squatting down to kiss his head. "Hey. Come on. Let's go bother daddy." She said, kissing his head again before walking over to Rex. She kissed his cheek, draping her arms over his shoulders. She looked over at what he was typing, amazed how he could do it without seeing. She could type without looking, but it was entirely different. She rubbed his chest gently, then walked over to her desk, sorting through her files. "Ew, my physicals back.." She groaned.

Rex smiled faintly as arms wrapped over his shoulders. "Hey Blake," He murmured, knowing better than to be too effectionate in the position of such a job. Fingers paused in typing his report, and he patted her hand gently before reaching and sliding his fingers over the button, hitting the right combination to print the paper.
He leaned over, taking the sheet and handing it over to her quietly.

"Dakota," He murmured, standing slowly. He kissed Blake's forehead as he stepped around her, playing with the sight cane in hand, listening to Dakota's nails click beside him. He headed towards where he knew the coffee was, carefully pulling himself a glass and finding a lid.

Blake looked over the paper. "La la la.." She mumbled, glancing it over quickly. She stopped reading, her face going pale. She opened the drawer she kept her physicals in and tossed it in there, kicking it closed. She rubbed her face, then wheeled over to her wall. She propped her feet up, looking between the pictures. She took a few down, rearranging them before she grabbed her highlighter. She wheeled back, sorting through the files. She pulled a few out that she hadn't bothered to toss, and sat them at her feet.

One of the lab people walked around the corner. "Why so pale, Aldridge?" He asked, and she flicked a paper clip at him.

"I haven't seen sun in like, two weeks. What do you have?" She held out her hand, and he handed her a stack of papers she started to flip through.

Rex huffed faintly as he returned, setting his coffee on his desk and scratching at tattooed knuckles for a moment. Carefully dropping into his seat, he rubbed at his face a bit and reached for his headset, flicking it on. He listened to a few reports.

"Rex we're putting you on!" Someone called from the next room, and he sighed, reaching to flip the station. "Yeah? What do you need officer?" He licked at his lips. "Another...at random," He mumbled, fingers flying over the keyboard. "Young child, alright.."

He clicked off, pulling the mic and headset down around his neck. "They had another body in the lab," He murmured. "Another little kid torn and half eaten I guess. Again no trace evidence of any human contact. But it was found around the same time, I dunno, some animal maybe? Preying on little kids?"

Blake looked up when he talked. She hadn't even realized he was back. "Uh.." She rifled through some folders, pushing her keyboard on top of her monitor to get it out of her way. She opened them up, trying to remember where she saw the kids he was talking about at.

"I might be. Unless some of the creeps around here pulled a spiderman." She shrugged, tapping her pen on the folder. She wanted to think it was an animal, that no one could so cold hearted. But it wouldn't surprise her. She rubbed the scratches on her neck where August had tried to bite her.

"I dunno. I'd like to think people aren't capable of being complete and utter monsters. But after today, I'm starting to think I'm wrong.." She pushed away from her desk. "I dunno. I'ma go down to the lab.."

Rex listened to her, sighed. He had a physical in about an hour. "Blake.." He murmured, catching her arm. "You alright?" He rushed a hand sightlessly over her cheek, worry clouding his fogged blue eyes. "I gotta clock out, here and head down to the clinic. I'll be back in two hours tops. You wanna keep Dakota with you or not?" He figured he could manage without the dog, it wasn't a far walk, he could always get a ride from one of the senior officers.

Pausing, listening a moment, he leaned in and kissed her softly on the lips. "You'll have to let me if you find anything down at the lab, here's the updated report."

Blake bit her lip, reaching up to touch his hand. She smiled and shook her head. "No, take Dakota with you. It's okay." She met the kiss gently, rubbing his side gently.

"Mkay." She took the papers from him, looking through them for a second before she leaned up and kissed him again. "It can wait until you get back." She said, squeezing his hand gently before she started down to the lab. She stopped at her superior's desk, asking him if he could bring Rex to get his physical. He said he would, and went off to find Rex while Blake made her way downstairs.

Rex listened to her go, folding the white cane absently. "Dakota, leash." He felt the large dog nudge his hand, and took the leash, following the footsteps of the superior outside and to his car.

Arriving at the waiting room, he hung around until a nurse had him follow her to a room. He let go of Dakota and set his things aside, taking her hand to step onto the scale, then go about his general check up.

He sighed as he pulled his hoodie off, winced at the cold touch of the stethescope beneath his shirt, the gentle touch of hands.

"You see any of that light?"
Rex hadn't known she'd shined it, shook his head.

Blake was slumped over her desk, her head on her arms. She slept quietly, obviously exhausted. She hadn't gotten much sleep the night before, having been out all night to try and catch creeps. It didn't work, not as well as they had expected.

She heard Dakota round the corner, and rubbed at her eyes, yawning. She looked down at the papers, tapping her pen on the desk.

"Well, I called Deacon.. He came in and looked at them. He said he could do another autopsy, but he didn't think it would help any. He said the marks were claw marks, but they were strangely calculated. So it's either someone who can shift into an animal, or a very very smart animal." She said, raising her arms over her head in a stretch.

Rex sighed, dropping into the chair at his desk, spinning it. "Well I know I got broken ribs," He mumbled. "Just a lttle crack, nothing bad."

He listened to her. "Soo, we wait for another body or send people out and around near the estimated death time all of them have."
