Britt lead her into her room, the room he had crashed in many nights. He helped her into bed, leaning over to kiss her when he heard Jack come stumbling in, obviously sleepy. He held out his one arm, and Britt picked him up, tried to sit him beside Zoey. He screamed, and Britt laid him down. "Ouch.." He said again, watching Jack curl up beside Zoey on his stomach. He kissed her gently, then leaned over to kiss Jack's head, Jack just climbed carefully up on Zoey, laying down on her chest, holding his casted arm close.

Zoey kissed him gently, watching Jack as he climbed on her. She shifted her weight in slight discomfort before relaxing and running a hand lovingly through Jack's hair. "There you go buddy, get some rest.." She hummed softly, then yawned.

Britt sat her bag by the door, then closed it quietly behind him as he left. He talked to Knox for a minute, then left to go back to the parlor.

Jack wiggled around a bit before he finally got comfortable and closed his hair. "Ni-ni, Zoo-ee." He said, yawning as he stretched out his legs before he drew them in close.

Zoey opened her eyes to watch the door close, let out a quiet breath. She draped an arm around Jack, gently hugging him close. "Goodnight, buddy.." She whispered softly. Her eyes closed, unable to keep them open as she finally drifted into sleep.

Jack wasn't asleep long before he jumped awake at screaming from the living room.

"YOU CRAZY BITCH! GET OUT OF MY DAMN HOUSE!" Knoxville screamed, and something was thrown.

"No." Was the only reply. There was the sound of doors opening, and Jack curled closer to Zoey.

"Wanna seep.." He mumbled, reaching up his good hand to cover his ear. Aubri walked in and picked him up, then started to walk back out the door.

"Aubri, if you don't let him go, I swear I'm going to kill you. Put my son down." Knox said, blocking the door.

"He's MY son." She said, and Jack started to cry.

"No, wanna seep.."

Zoey stirred, hugging Jack close at first as he woke. She tensed when he was lifted, expecting it to be Knox. But when she opened her eyes, she realized it was one of Connor's friends. Eyebrows furrowed and she stood up carefully, wandering after them. "Aubri..." She murmured. "Let him go.. Go see Connor and Bandit or something.. Work out a way to see Jack under better terms okay? Don't do this, you're gonna get in trouble. He wants to sleep.."

"No. He's my son. He took him away from me and won't let me see him." She said, hugging Jack tighter.

"No lemme go." Jack complained, holding out his arms to Knoxville.

"You're a sex addicted whore who does drugs like they're going out of style, damnit! My son isn't going to be neglected because of your stupid ass." He said, reaching over to take him back. But she only held him away.

"No. Alex will take care of him. He's my baby."

"Your faggot boyfriend isn't going to do anything. Give me my son."

"Lemme go.. It hurt.." Jack cried, trying to wiggle away from her tight grasp. "I no feel good. Wanna seep."

"Dammit Aubri you're not making things any better!" She waited, watching them argue. And despite her aching back she reached over and snatched Jack up, hugging him gently close before turning and heading for the bedroom. She locked the door behind her, crawling back into bed and pulling him onto her chest. "It's okay buddy.. Just go back to sleep okay?" Fingers ran soothingly through his hair as she gazed tiredly at the door. She didn't care if it was a friend of Connor's, Aubri didn't have custody, had no right to come and take him.

"GIVE ME MY BABY!" She screamed, grabbing for Zoey. Jack just curled close to her, wrapping his good arm around her neck.

"Get out of my house!" Knox screamed. There was slamming, more screaming, and the door finally closed. Jack relaxed against Zoey, slowly falling asleep again while his pain medicine worked. He reached up, sticking his fingers in his mouth.

Zoey relaxed as the door closed and the house fell silent, got up carefully to unlock the bedroom door before climbing back into bed with Jack again. She yawned, rubbing at a bruised wrist.
