[CLOSED] all hope is shattered

It was dark. Even the street lamps were dimming. Thirty minutes pass twelve, a scream echoing over the silence. Shadows grew bigger, wrapping around a lone figure. 'Who's going to protect you now?' A voice whispered. The air was cold, brick scratched at the skin of her back as she slid down, trying to escape the noise. Her head was in her hands. Knees pulled up so close that she looked like a bag of trash. Her clothes were ripped, pulled apart in her sleep.

"No.. no," Adele mumbled over and over again. She wasn't even sure on how she had gotten out of the apartment. Through the door? Out the window? Had she even been in the apartment? Everything was a blank, except for the known fact she was now outside. It was silent outside, but in her head she could hear the screams. Adele felt as if she was no longer in Estenberg, that she was once again off in a dark spot of the world 'having the time of her life'.

Steadily, her hands walked up the wall, using what strength she had to find something she knew. Every time she tried to focus on what could have cause this, a taunting voice of a bitter old woman would scream in her ear.

Seth didn't know why he was out walking so late, but he was, had gone to pick Cory up when he got himself in trouble, and was now just wandering. At first he didn't recognize the startled figure as Adele, eyebrows furrowing as he wandered closer. He couldn't help his curiosity, it was in his blood.

"Adele..? Hey, you okay? What happened?" Why was she even out here? He reached out a hand, offering it to her. "Come on, let's get you back to your place.."

Her head tilted at Seth's voice. He sounded so distant, but his hand was close to her. Adele reached out, brushing it softly before jerking her hand away. She barred her teeth, backing slowly away from him. A dark shadow stood by his side, wagging a finger at her. 'Adele Nicole Green! Exactly what to do you think you're doing? Get your ass in the house!' "But Jayden..." She argued softly, her stance becoming defensive.

'Dan is handling Jayden! Now go before you get the same punishment." The woman moved forward. Her hands on her hips as her voice pierced Adele's eardrums. "You can't hurt Jayden!" Her voice growled, her eyes switching from the woman to Seth.

Seth drew his hand back, eyebrows furrowing in confusion. What was wrong with her? Then it hit him, Connor, Devon..
"Come on, Adele, don't listen to them. I'll protect you guys okay? Come with me to the car back at the park.."

If he could get her home, great. If he could get her to the hospital and check to see if she might be infected, even better. "Come with me. Please?"

The woman seemed to turn her head as Seth spoke, laughing abruptly. 'Why would anyone want to protect you?' It was Dan's voice. He was carrying ripped clothes, blood was was still dripping down his arm. 'You'll just leave, doesn't he know that? You couldn't even stay with Jayden when he took you to the lake.' He stepped in front of Seth, in her mind, he blocked the space between Seth and her.

Adele began to lower herself, her hands shaking as she placed them against the grown. "Get aw-" Her words cut off as a defining screech echoed in her ears. "Se..th.. he's gonna hurt you.." She whined, tears welling up in her eyes as she searched for Seth's face behind the black blob. 'Me? Oh, no. But you will' The man laughed, causing Adele to bare her teeth again.

She lowered herself onto her hands, crouching forward as she eyed Seth. A thundering growl rummbled through her throat as her clothes tore from her body. Her figure changed from that of a young woman to a panther. Adele began to inch closer and closer to Seth, her eyes focused on the darkened blob as she growled once more. She readied herself, her blackened chin brushed across the ground as her tail swayed back and forth.

Just as she was about to pounce, a larger feline collided into her, swiping her off her feet. Jayden pinned her down as she scratched and clawed the air. As they wrestled, Adele knocked her head against the ground causing her to become unconscious. Jayden stepped off, using her ripped clothes to hide her body as it changed. He padded off, retrieving his clothes and tossing them at Adele's side. He turned to look at Seth, before padding off back to the house.
