Chandler shrugged, walking to his bedroom. He found an old t shirt and walked out, handing it to her. He walked back, pulling on a pair of pajama pants. He made his way to the kitchen, towel drying his hair on his way. He grabbed a bottle of water, then walked over to the sofa, sitting down on it.

Devan murmured a soft thanks and drew it on when he wasn't looking. She sat down on the clear other side of the sofa, tucking her legs self consciously under herself as she began to work water from the ends of her hair with the towel.

Chandler started to drink his water, picking up the remote to flip through the channels. He wasn't fond of the girl, and she made it clear she didn't like him. So he avoided her as best he could. He stopped on the history channel, watching something with little interest.

Devan couldn't help but glance over at him every once and awhile. "So you really don't remember the last seven years?" She questioned, trying to break the ice, nit exactly liking such tense silence. She curled up, setting her towelaside, and rested her head back against the sofa.

Chandler simply shook his head, watching the TV. He chewed on his lip, his fangs elongated. He sighed, looking over at her. He didn't understand why it bothered her and his brother so much that he couldn't remember. It seemed like all him and his brother did was fight now. All because he couldn't remember.
"No. I really don't remember. What's with you and T always on my back about not remembering it? If I could I would but I can't. I don't get why you two can't understand that." He turned back to the TV, getting irritated with her.

Devan looked away. "I was just asking... I-...I feel like if I hadn't pissed you off that day then you wouldn't have decided to leave Terance like you did, wouldn't have lost control.." She shrugged. "I feel like it's my fult....and maybe I should just stay away from people, stop trying to actually matter and just collect fucking souls. because if that's what I was made to do, maybe that's all I'm good at."

"Maybe I wouldn't have. But maybe I would have, too. Because the brother I remember isn't the brother I have now. He doesn't trust even me. And that bothers me." He tapped his fingers on his legs, looking over at the TV. There was no telling what was going to happen now. Everything had been turned upside down. And there was no meeting in the middle, either. Both Chandler and his brother had hard heads.
"He only cares that I left because he thought he was getting his brother back and now he's pissed because I don't remember anything. I'm not who I was and he's not who he was. That's about all it boils down to.."

Devan bit her lip. "I don't know him well, but I know he's been though a lot Chandler. He lost his family, and when the most important member had still not come back, he just got lost..." She hesitated, then reached over and patted his leg. "He always talked about you while you were gone. At least when somebody actually got him to talk. He's just...broken. But since you've been here he smiles more, talks... He was as good as gone after what your father did. He lived but it didn't mean he wanted to. He was just a shell. Until you came back." She smiled faintly.

Chandler didn't say anything, simply leaned back against the couch. He was too tired to even want to hold a conversation. Especially with her. She was pretty, yeah. But she also had a lot of issues. And Chandler didn't think he was ready to have a relationship. Ever. Especially if girls were all as strange as her. He wouldn't admit that he might actually like her, though. He finished off his water, looking over at the clock.
"If you say so." He said, grabbing his towel. He tossed his bottle in the trash, using the towel on his way back to clean up the water trail they had made. He tossed it into the hamper, walking back into his room. He climbed into bed, laying down.

Devan sighed, shaking her head in faint agitation. He might be cute if he wasn't so damn stubborn. She watched him go and curled up on the couch wrapping her arms around herself and yawning. All she could smell was him. "Stupid shirt," She mumbled, glancing at the TV. Within moments she was asleep.
