Charlie laid down in the grass, watching a line of ants march slowly past. She closed her eyes, slowly swinging her feet back and forth, her back aching with her wings being retracted.

Tyler sniffed softly, edgy now that the drugs were on their last run in his body. He wasn't used to it at all.

Charlie looked over at him, then crawled across the lawn to sit by him. She slowly rubbed his back, kissing the side of his head gently. "You okay?" She asked.

Tyler nodded blankly, tilting his head to rest it agains her thin shoulder. He closed his eyes, holding her close to himself.

Charlie hugged him tightly, slowly running her fingers through his hair. She didn't realize just how small she was until now, how Tyler made at least three of her. Even Shawn and Cole were huge compared to her. "The puppies are getting really really big, huh? They're super cute." She said quietly, hoping to make him smile.

"I think that's all any of us orphans wanted.. A little family. Even if we had to make it ourselves. We'd always talk about kids and make little dolls out of old rags and cotton. So it really makes me happy to see your brother with two little babies that adore him." She played with the end of his shirt, moving a bit so she was against his side.

"The best family ever." She said quietly, looking down at the grass. She was glad she at least felt somewhat welcome here, like the little sister none of the boys ever had. She yawned, wrapping her arms around her knees. "I love you guys."
