She looked over at him, biting her lip. She smiled, gently pulling his hand over to kiss the top of it. "Don't worry about it, okay? Just remember I'm not gonna go anywhere this time. I'm not gonna leave." She smiled, holding onto one of his fingers.

She looked down at their hands, moving a little closer to him. "I love you too, if that makes it any better." She said quietly, laying her head on his shoulder. She squeezed his hand gently, tilting her head to kiss his neck.

Hearing him say her name made Charlie's heart start pounding. She smiled, holding his hand close. "I told you everything would be alright. But you got such a hard head, you didn't believe me." She teased, letting go of his hand to hug him tightly.

"No you don't." She said, wrapping her arms gently around his neck. She laid her head down, closing her eyes. Being in his arms, hearing him talk. She'd never thought she'd have the chance to do this again. "I'm sorry it's not bedtime. Because these wings are entirely too big for me." She complained, looking up at a gentle knock on the door. But she knew better than to answer it.
