Baz reached up, playing with his hair gently. He was honestly sick, seeing how hurt Cole was. He watched Jack walk over to the back door, pulling it open. He stood at the screen, looking out into the back yard and the obviously tedious garden out there.

"Pay." He told Kellin, but Kellin only shook his head, pulling the toy chest from the closet.

"Play with these. You don't need to go outside and ruin flowers." Kellin told him.

Baz reached into his pocket, pulling out a small box. "Here's the gift I didn't give you." He said, sitting it in his lap.

Cole watched them quietly, absently reaching up to rub at his sore throat. He smiled faintly when Baz pulled out the box, knew he really didn't have to do such things for him. "Thank you..." He whispered, softspoken as usual. Especially now. He untied the ribbon and opened it up, peering inside.

"I figured these colors were kind of.. odd. So I got them for you." He said with a smile, reaching over to dump the box of snakebites into his hand. "I really like the bright green ones. They glow in the dark. So I can find you. And these match your scarf." He put them back into the box, leaning over to kiss the side of his head. "I guess I got to get you scarves next time I go, huh?" He asked, gently running his hand up and down Cole's side.

"Thank you," Cole breathed, studying them. He didn't have any peircings in, lip still sore from being busted, though it was pretty much healed now. Carefully capping the box, he managed to smile faintly at Sebastian's words. "Yeah...maybe." It was odd how the depression seemed to be lifting suddenly. He knew it would be back though. It showed more often and stayed much longer. Hell, the night he met Kellin he had actually tried cutting his wrist to see what it was like.

Sebastian smiled, reaching over to gently trace his fingers over his cheek. He hoped that if he didn't ask what was wrong, that Cole would keep smiling. He didn't like seeing him sad. He chewed on the inside of his lip, thinking for a moment before he leaned over, kissing him softly.

"What if I asked you to be my boyfriend?" He asked quietly, looking over at Cole. "Like an actual relationship?" He didn't think Cole was going to say no, but he didn't want to assume he would and end up being wrong.

Cole bit his lip, trying to hide his smile and blush. He failed miserably. "I would like that a lot..." He mirmured, studying Sebastian. He realized that to him he was utterly perfect. He couldn't want anybody else more. But at the same time it scared him, terrified him. Not just at the thought of rejection, but of what August had threatened. Hedidn't want to thing about it, set the box on the coffee table and hugged Baz tightly.

Baz smiled, wrapping his arms tighly around him. He kissed his neck gently, closing his eyes as he held him close. He ran his hand gently up and down his back, keeping him as close as possible. He reached up, cupping his cheek gently as he kissed him softly. His heart was pounding, his mind scrambled. He didn't understand why he would be nervous, especially since Cole already said he wanted to.

"So you'll be my boyfriend, then?" He asked, running a hand through Cole's hair. He looked over at him, realizing that despite even the bruises and hurt that was clearly there, he thought Cole was indescribably handsome and that he truly cared for him.

"Yes," Cole whispered, cuddling up close. He played gently with Baz's shirt, realized just how happy he was suddenly. Sebastian hadn't questioned the bruises, had asked him to be his boyfriend... He didn't know if he could be happier right now, couldn't even hide his smile.

Baz smiled over at him, reaching over to brush his hair from his forehead. "Well then, I certainly am lucky." He said with a smile, wrapping his arms around Cole's waist again to hug him close. He was honestly beside himself, completely and utterly happy over a single quietly spoken word. He rubbed Cole's back gently before pulling him carefully into his lap to hold him close.

Cole climbed into his lap carefully, head finding Baz's collar bone as he tilted his head to watch Jack play. He rubbed at his throat some before resting his hand on Sebastian's leg. He smiled at Kellin faintly.
