Thatcher looked over at her with little interest. He looked back at the tile he was looking at on the wall. "Thatcher." He said flatly, raising his glass to his lips for a second. He didn't understand why the girl wanted to talk now. She seemed to hate him just days ago. Not that he really cared. It wasn't like he was looking to love anyone. He had to stay alive for Deacon, be there for the boy when his boyfriend died. He knew once he did, Deacon would never be the same. He wouldn't stop being the grim reaper, or the coroner. He wouldn't stop taking care of his baby. But he wouldn't be Deacon anymore. He had been there for the last, what? Hundred and some odd years? Thatcher thought he could spare another hundred if it would make him feel better.
Marc slipped Thatcher something, and he looked down at it. Another number. He just crumpled it up, holding it in his hand.
"I knew a Reagan once." He said, shrugging his shoulders. "Pretty girl. Drunk driver made short work of her. She was only a little girl." He couldn't help thinking about Bandit.

Reagan's mouth set in a grim line. She was trying to apologize for being such a bitch when she came to pick up Marc's guitar, but he didn't seem to care. "Well fuck you too dick." She took a long swallow of her beer, wondering if tonight would be another night of Kit coming to pick her up. She often tried to drown herself in the bottle, but she always woke up the next morning, much to her dismay.
She slid her bottle between her hands as she watched Teach crumple the number. "Popular with the ladies eh?"
"I knew a Reagan once too. Some monster did her in." Reagan had been the only woman her father had actually cared about, and in a jealous rage, he had killed her. Reagan's mother was just to pass on the genes, there was no emotion on his part.

"I don't like the term 'fuck', to be frank." He said in his simple, flat tone. He had slept with women, yeah. Only enough to count on one hand, but still. That wouldn't be the term he would have used.
"I suppose." He shrugged, handing the paper back to Marc as he passed. The boy was cute, his smile perfect. And his dimples were just.. adorable. It's no wonder the boy had a boyfriend he liked so much. He deserved it. He was like a touchable Deacon.
He didn't bother commenting on her last comment. He had seen enough people go down, trapped in their own head. Much like Deacon. "Mm.." He tapped his finger on the counter, watching Marc with interest, the first person he had actually been interested in since Deacon. "Shame his dad hates him." He said, watching the boy smile at one of the customers. "Glad he's better now, though."

"Shall I wash my mouth out with soap Teach?" She drawled with sarcasm. She didn't care what words he liked or disliked. She said what she wanted.
She watched him watching Marc, curious as to what was going through his head. Did he have a thing for her bartender? That was an interesting thought. She picked up the fresh beer Marc had put down and tipped it at him.
"Now that I will agree with you on. Marc is a sweetheart, and deserves the best. This new guy of his has done him good." Once again, he was one of two people she spoke fondly of, and the only one not related to her. She eyed Thatcher for a moment, "you aren't looking to change that are you?"

"If you fancy the taste of soap, by all means." He gestured towards the restrooms without a single trace of emotion, seriousness or sarcasm. He took another small sip of his drink, his eyes going back to Marc. Moving objects caught his eye more than not.
"I don't love." He said flatly. "And I would never take away from Marcus what makes him so happy. If the boy is the reason he isn't harming himself, if the boy helps him forget the pain his father left, and the hole his mother did, then I wouldn't dream of it. Not that I also would kill the boy for hurting him, if he dared." He took another sip of his drink. He was a pirate, after all. Killing and looting was in his blood. But he never had. Not that he wouldn't over Deacon and Marcus.

She flipped him off without a look, annoyed by his lack of emotion. Her power was to bring boys to their knees, but it wasn't working with this one. Maybe she wasn't trying enough. The thought made her want to gag suddenly. Why did she care? She could have anybody she wanted, so why was she getting bent out of shape over Teach? Was it because she couldn't get a rise out of him? Did on some level she see him as a challenge?
"On that we can agree at least. It's a useless emotion." Did she even truly love Kit? Or was it just a familial bond she held on to so she wouldn't lose herself completely? Things like this made her wonder what if, and she hated that game. She downed the last few drops of her beer and waved Marc over for another one. She also agreed with the killing anyone that hurt Marc. He had wormed his way into her emotions, right next to her brother, and she still didn't know how.

Thatcher took another drink out of his glass, looking at his same spot on the wall. He was thinking over lesson plans for the next day, whether his advanced class should go to the next chapter or if they needed another day. His normal classes really needed an extra day. Or two. They were at least three chapters behind the advanced class, which was normal. He drummed his fingers on the counter top. Maybe he should review the entire lesson, then let them talk about it amongst themselves, practice it. That sounded like the best option to him.
Marc walked over and took his glass, putting another one in his hands. He smiled at the boy, and Marc smiled back, those dimples and perfect teeth enough to make anyone's heart melt. He looked away, looking back at his spot on the wall as he took another sip of his drink. He could always teach the advanced class a new song, give the remedial classes a day to catch up a bit.

Reagan Marc as he moved behind the bar, wondering what it was like to love someone. He seemed to be falling for this kid he was with, and she debated asking him, but did she want to know what she was missing out on? Would it change anything? She took a swig and was getting ready to finish it off when she heard a familiar voice call out to her.
Turning around on the stool she found herself staring into Kit's grinning face. He had a smudged lipstick print on his cheek and a foolish grin. His shirt was buttoned wrong and half untucked. She shook her head at him and grimaced as he drew her into a hug and kissed her cheek. "Kit, what the hell are you doing here?"
"Just came to see my favorite sister, and check out the selection." He winked at two girls further down the bar, sending them into fits of giggles as they played coy.

Thatcher watched Marc walk back and forth with a smile on his face. He wondered if the boy's innocence had anything to do with the immense happiness he seemed to have. But he hadn't been that happy before his boyfriend. He hadn't said more than two words to anyone, Thatcher included. Marc walked back down to where Thatcher sat, and took a seat on his stool.
"You're gonna stare a hole in my wall." The boy said with a smile, and Thatcher managed a half smile, which fell two seconds later. He took a sip of his drink, looking over at the boy.
"You never told me your boyfriend's name." Thatcher said.
"Tony." He said with a smile. "Wanna see him?"
Thatcher just nodded, and Marc pulled out his phone, thumbing through the photos on it before handing it to Thatcher. He looked down at it, studying the face for a moment before he nodded. "Very cute. He's a lucky boy." Marc just smiled, putting his phone back in his pocket before running a hand up and down his tattooed arm.
"I'll bring him with me this weekend to practice, maybe." Marc said, and Thatcher just nodded again.
"He's welcome to come with you." He said, managing another smile.

Reagan shrugged off Kit with a groan. "Do you think about anything other than sex?" As soon as the words left her lips she knew how stupid they were. She and her brother were made for sex, simple as that. They lived because of it, thrived on it. Maybe that's why she was always such a bitch. She didn't like anyone really, and rarely indulged like her brother did, multiple girls in one night was not out of the question for him, or guys for that matter. With the way he almost glowed, he had probably already had at least one girl tonight.
Kit chewed his gum with a grin, blew a bubble that Reagan reached out and popped with a black pointed nail. Brushing off her usual grumpy attitude he turned to see Marc, and smiled brighter. The kid was cute, and he hated that he had never had a chance to taste him. "He Marc. How are you and your boy?"
