Past twelve. The lights of the hotel shown brightly in dark, hallucinating eyes. Nails scratched at the skin, as feet drug wearily across the ground, sending a noise echoing through the silent night. It was an eerie silence, only to be broken by a hesitant cough. Fallen to her knees, Taaron leaned against the wall. Her head in her lap.
She had traveled far from home, walking the whole way. A fight had broken out between her mom and sister. A nasty four hour fight, that Tk had furiously gotten in the middle of. A few bruises were appearing on her skin. Her sister was brutal, unrelenting as she lashed out. The fight between siblings hadn't lasted long. Her sister was in no better condition.
Another coughing fit interrupted Taaron's train of thought. Her fingers fumbled for the bag in her pocket. Her bag thrown from her back, landing with a thump on the ground. Her hands, shaky, reached in the bag, pulling out a CD disk. She poured the contents out. And soon it was all gone.
After leaving the house of hell, an old buddy had found her in the back alley, grieving from the pain of the bruises. He gave her the life she'd left behind back. And now it was all gone from the disk, in her system. Her breaths became rapid as she searched for steadiness. But it was gone. Everything was gone, it faded to darkness.

Connor was sound asleep, as was Bandit. Good thing, too. Because if they were, Death was bound to kill the both of them. 'I'm tired of sitting around. You have no right to keep me bottled up.'
"You have no right to think you own my body." Deacon retorted, looking down at the ground from the tree he was in in his back yard. He had tried to stay out of it, but Death wouldn't leave him alone, and sleep refused to come.
'I want to go for a walk.' "No. I can't leave. You know they have the other reaper on duty while Connor's down."
'I SAID I want to go for a walk!' Death screamed, slowly overpowering Deacon. Deacon was no match for him. He never was. No one was. The times he did have control, he was fighting tooth and nail to keep Death at bay. But it usually never worked.
"You human and your stupid boyfriends." Deacon's voice said, now far rhaspier. Black eyes searched the yard, taking the place of Deacon's usually bright green ones. Death wandered around, finally leaving and going off onto the street. And it wasn't long before he found someone to torture either. He crept up close to the girl, sensing she was hurt and close to dying.
"What's wrong, princess?" He asked, smirking down at her.

Slow blinks, but each time they opened, the world was scattered. A voice crept into her ear contorted. A low groan was all the passed her lips. Bad thing about being on the streets, you were hardly ever left alone. She pushed herself up weakly from where she had fallen from her crouched position. Her legs sprawled out in front of her, her back and head resting against the building. Her body tingled, her hands seemed to jerk even though they were laying still on her lap.
A year of doing good, and only taken one night to ruin. But what did Taaron care? Terrible thoughts crept into her head, and darkness slid over her eyes again. She was barely able to keep them open. 'How could you be so stupid?' 'Look at yourself!' The voices of family entered her head from the memory of the /intervention/ (if you could call it that) from last year. "You can leave..." she mumbled, her eyes opened a bit to see the man still standing there.

Death just smirked at her, watching her struggle with more pleasure than he probably should have. But he always got pleasure from watching others suffer. He knew that was one of the reasons Deacon usually completely passed out when he took control; he didn't want to hear the horrible things Death said to the dying.
"I could leave. If I weren't here to collect your soul. People like you are pathetic, you know that? You're all selfish and bitter; you do this for attention and you end up just hurting everyone around you. You know this is no escape, right? Come on, princess. Look at me." He bent down so his black eyes could stare at her, willing her closer to him. But the second they touched, she was gone.
"This isn't an escape." He put a hand on either side of her head, his black eyes playing pictures of people burning, the horrible things that happened when they went to hell. And if you listened hard enough, you could hear them screaming, pleading for help. "You're just going to burn in hell, princess.. Is it worth it? God doesn't love sinners, baby." He spoke, but from his mouth also came the screams and pleas of the tortured and the broken as if hell were contained inside him. "God sends you all to hell."

"Looks li like," But she didn't bother to finish. Her teeth chattered, making it hard to talk. It was a bad mix, and too much. Tk shuddered as he touched her, a horrifying feeling made her want to crumble away. The pictures screened across his eyes like a torture movie and just like every movie, she was unable to close her eyes. It was terrible, horrifying, but even through the lazy pull of her eye lids, they wouldn't shut.
She wiggled at the clutch of his hands. The pictures getting worse. The screams intensified each time he opened his mouth. A nightmare and Tk was even asleep. She couldn't just blink her eyes and wake up. She wasn't falling off a cliff, nothing would jolt her awake at the last second. It made her think of her dad. The way he had gone. His pain hadn't lasted like this. The bullet went through his head and immediately, he was gone. But she had only wanted the pain to fade, not have this happen.

"How's it feel, being dead? Knowing that no one's going to save you now? You got your wish now, baby doll." He wasn't allowed to drop the souls off and leave them there because they had to be sorted. But that never stopped him from dragging them down to hell anyways. He yanked her soul towards him, smirking over at him before he drug her down through the ground. The screams grew louder, the pleas desperate. He pulled her to the edge of a hot cliff, showing her the madness below.
Spirits wandered through lava and ash, screaming from the pain. They had no way of escaping, no way of climbing out. There was no way out. "It's hot down here, isn't it? Listen to them scream. This is exactly where you're going, darling. You won't get to see all your precious family. They're not here. Your daddy? He's not here." He nudged her forward, holding tightly to her arm. "Look at your new home. The screams never end. Ever. There's no peace. No water. You're eternally miserable."

No response was uttered, Taaron's mouth was tightly shut. Her eyes dry, leaving her with no way of crying. It was to hard to blink, the moisture being sucked away as soon as she opened them. The screams echoed in her ear, no silence ever neared. She was growing terrified with each second that passed, but it didn't make her go back and not take the drugs. Her body shook with each time he touched her. It wasn't that she feared death, but that she knew he was right. None the less, her mind never changed.
The heat ran over her body as she was pulled through the ground. Her eyes never settling as she was pushed to the edge. "He should be... suicide is selfish right.." Tk spoke quietly, her throat dry and itchy. She took a couple steps back, her legs trembled. Her mind felt like it was slipping away from her. "What's the point in torturing? Like the feeling when someone begs for their life?" It came out contorted, the saliva barely satisfying the dryness in her throat. Taaron wouldn't beg for her life. But she didn't want it to be over. Her mom.. Tj... even if it meant nothing, she still liked him. He was fun to be around.. But that thought was long gone after another shocking scream bursting through her eardrums. She dropped to her knees, no longer did they want to hold her up.

"Suicide IS selfish. But why would they give you the pleasure of letting you two be together? Then this wouldn't be hell, would it?" He sat down beside her as if the heat didn't bother him. Slowly his form became less and less of Deacon, and more and more of that boogeyman every kid feared, the skeleton in the black cloak.
"I'm not torturing you. I'm the welcoming committee, baby." He smirked, whatever flesh was left around his mouth slowly crumbling and falling into ash in his lap. "It's not my job to torture you. It's my job to show you just what you're getting yourself into." He didn't want to give her any hope that she might actually be saved. There was still that chance that the paramedics could bring her back. But he wouldn't let her know that. He pulled her to her feet again, starting down the cliff. The deeper they got into hell, the more it became a nightmare. The screams were earpiercing, the images enough to scare even the most heartless person. Every soul down there was pleading for their lives, holding on to even the smallest strand of hope.
"You're hopeless now, baby." He turned to her, the white face of a skeleton watching her. "You think you're ever leaving now? Once Devan comes and gets you, you're down here forever."

"Didn't say I wanted to be with him" But the last half of sentence was barely audible. Her eyes searched frantically for anything pleasant. The only thing that wasn't absolutely horrifying was the man, but he was changing. His body seemed to float away, leaving the skeleton hidden in a cloak of darkness. Well, at least they got pictures of death right. Her arms crossed, her fingers scratching up and down her arms. Panic was entering her mind as she was pulled to her feet, lead down the cliff. Taaron wanted so much for hell and heaven not to be real. After she died, she'd rather have nothing to ever think about. Just be a corpse six feet under the ground, slowly being decomposed.
Her eyes wavered from thing to thing. Each worse than the last. Her muscles cringed, and she wished she didn't have the strength to carry on. Tk didn't want to see anymore, she wanted to be alone in bed. Even if she had a nightmare, she could wake up from it. This would be her every day life.. after she died. She wasn't quite sure if she was dead, though. But knew if someone found her body, they would be too late. It was behind the bed and breakfast hotel, late at night. Who would find it?

Death slowly walked beside her, looking at he people grabbing for them, desperate for a way out. He had no way of helping them. He wasn't allowed to. Not that it bothered him. He had killed most of them, the ones from Estenberg anyways. The rest were just familiar with the face of death.
"You're not above anyone here. You're being tortured just as much. Deacon gets tortured by it and he is still alive." He pointed to where they had another of his minions -Mat in this case- trying to drag him into the lava.
"OH GOD! LET ME GO! STOP!" He screamed, stumbling forward on the hot walk way. He looked over at them, his green eyes scared and terrified.
"Not even my own minions are above this torture. Why should they give you special treatment?" He asked her, then Mat disappeared, obviously being called for another dying victim. He could hear Mat in his head, his voice ringing. 'I just wanted to be with Dylan..'
He felt her being tugged away and let go, her soul disappearing from hell. She was instead back at where her body was, Charlie leaning over her with the paramedics around here.
"It's gonna be okay.. You're okay now.." She said quietly, stroking the girl's hair.
