She sat down at the other end of the sofa. She looked down at what he had written. She didn't think she would be very good at it, but she would try. She tried making it, and after a few attempts she got it right. "A!" She smiled brightly, folding her hands together in her lap. She realized this was going to take a lot longer than she had expected. She knew it would take awhile, but if it took her three and four tries to do it..

"Do words like apple and arrow look like the letter?" She asked, bringing a hand to her mouth again.

Zayne smiled, then shrugged faintly. 'Kind of, depends.' He wrote down, pointing at the next letter. 'After each one, we'll go by the first and repeat them up to the next one until you get the hang of it.' It could take minutes or hours. Luckily he was patient.

[alyssa jane 'AJ' tucker]

She nodded, wondering if she could actually get through all the letters before she got agitated. She signed the next letter after him, picking that one up a lot faster. "B.." She mumbled, then bit her lip. She made the first two letters again, looking over at him for the next letter. She reached up, messing with her nose ring for a second before she smiled at him.

Zayne smiled back, moving on to 'C' and repeating them with her, then 'D'.

'Doing good,' He wrote. 'Nice piercing, by the way'. He knew he was just being partial though, since he had his own done.

She caught onto C and D quickly, starting to get used to using her hands. She looked down at what he had written and smiled, a blush creeping across her cheeks. "Thanks.." She whispered. "I got a tattoo, too.." She stood up slowly, undoing her jeans a bit. She pulled her shirt up a little, and folded her jeans down, showing him the bird on her hip. She looked over at him, hoping she hadn't upset him. Her parents didn't even know it was there. Even if the clothes she wore were sparse. She had on some cut blue jean shorts, and a baggy shirt that hung off her shoulder.

Zayne smiled, studying it a moment. 'Ah, that's cool,' He jotted down, shifting his weight a bit. He tapped a thumb on his leg thoughtfully. 'After we get through this alphabet, you wanna get some frozen yogurt?' They could practice pretty much anywhere.

He started on 'E'.

"Sure." She smiled, buttoning her jeans again. She curled up on the couch where she was, making the letter after him. "E.." She said, then thought a minute. She made the other four, then the E again and smiled. She played with the edge of one of her shorts legs, making the next letter after him.

[zayne atekahr thompson]

Zayne smiled. 'Very good' he wrote down, steadily and slowly going through each letter, waiting patiently and helping her with anything she forgot along the way.

He huffed as they got all the way through, figured it hadn't taken as long as he thought. 'Now try going all the way through it again.'

[alyssa jane 'AJ' tucker]

"Okay.." She mumbled. "A.. B.. C.. D.. E.." She paused, biting her lip. "Don't tell me!" She said, holding his hands down. "A, B, C, D, E.. F." She made it with her hand, smiling. "G, H, I, J... Uh.. K.. L, M, N, O.. P.. Q, R.. S.. T.. U, V, W, X, Y.. and Z." She smiled over at him, drawing her hand to her mouth.

Zayne's lips parted in amusement when she stopped his hands, watching her intently with light blue eyes. He smiled lopsidedly as she finished, nodding and ruffling her hair. 'Very good,' He scrawled, smiling faintly again.

'Now how about that yogurt break?'
