Charlie walked carefully downstairs, eyeing Jacob with a sigh. "If you're gonna be down here, you may as well come cuddle cause it gets cold." She said, sitting down behind the couch. She wasn't afraid of them, despite them being so big. She was glad there was someone around to take care of her and make sure she was okay. She laid down, watching Jacob intently. "Please? I'll help you with the puppies when Shaun brings them back tomorrow."

Jacob hesitated. But lying with her would men he could still protect her if the guy came back, and he wandered over and curled up with a gusty breath, glanced at her with tired eyes and thumped his tail some.

"Aw, Jacob." She said, laying her head on his back. He was nearly twice her size, even as a wolf. She laid close to him, slowly running her fingers through his fur. "He didn't believe me when I said the only wolves here were you and Tyler. He had a knife and told me to go upstairs. I think he wanted me to sleep with Tyler cause he told me I had to distract you guys while he looked. But I don't know anything about sex so he was stupid to even think about it." She ran her hand through his fur. "My wing really hurts.. Can you tell if it's broken?"

Jacob whimpered as she explained, eyes troubled. But he would honestly give his life to protect anybody that had to do with his family. Including her, Marc, Shaun, and Sebastian, no matter the initial distrust some of them had started with. When she asked about her wing he raised his head and nudged it gently.

"Ow ow.." She cried, drawing her other wing close to her. But the one she was complaining about wouldn't move. She moved closer to him, running her fingers through his fur. It hurt so bad, but she was so tired. And she didn't feel like waking anyone up to wrap it. "Promise you won't go anywhere?" She asked, looking up at him.

Jacob drew his head back, ears pinning in apology. When she made him promise, he nudged her cheek with his nose and scooted closer, closing his eyes. He slept soundly through the night, yelping in the morning as Tyler stepped on his tail. "Oops, sorry Jake.. mom left for work..I had the weirdest dream last night." He yawned, wandering to the kitchen.

Charlie soon fell asleep, jumping as Jacob yelped. She wiggled out from between the sofa and Jacob, running her fingers through her hair. She walked over, wrapping her arms carefully around Jacob. "What's your dream?" She asked, her good wing tucked close to her back. But the other one was just droopy, clearly broken in half.

Jacob rested his cheek on his paws, getting up and tugging on the towel looped through the fridge handle until it opened. He snatched the rabbit there and wandered back to the living room.
Tyler bit his lip as he studied Charlie's wings. "It wasn't a dream, huh?" He mumbled, eyebrows furrowing, growing upset that he hadn't got up to help them last night.

"If you dreamed that some creep broke in your house last night, then no, it wasn't a dream." She said, drawing her arms back. She hated thinking that she might be hanging onto him and bothering him. She bit her lip, looking him over. "I got news that they think you're getting better.. And I might only be here for another week.." She said quietly, looking down at the floor.

"I got better?" He laughed dryly. "Better my ass." He kissed her softly, clearly troubled as he led her to the bathroom and found some gauze.
Jacob watched them go, hoping Tyler wouldn't flip out.
