She shook her head playfully, placing her empty cup on the table. "That's good." She began to yawn, interlacing her fingers and stretching them til' they popped. She jumped from her seat, gathering the trash on the table in her hands and made her way over to the trash bin. Rubbing her hands together, she dusted them off even if there wasn't anything on them. Gryphon walked slowly back to the table, her eyes wondering over Zach's body before glancing to her phone as it buzzed again. 'Nevermind, it's fine.' the text read, she just simply rolled her eyes.

Zach stared back down at the table. He drew in a quiet breath, glancing up as Colton coughed, covering his mouth and touching his chest with a grimace. Zach frowned, Colton wasn't getting any better living on the streets. His cough didn't want to go away

Her fingers worked quickly as she typed a long message. Her eyes glanced up, breaking her concentration, as Colton coughed. "You could go to the physician's place.. it's not too far from here." Gryphon didn't wait for answer, her fingers around back to moving across the keyboard. After she sent it, she placed her phone back in her pocket. Most people had left the shop by now, besides them there were only about three other people. "I gotta go get my car from the shop.. Do you wanna come?" She asked, biting on her lip as she looked to Zach.

Colton shrugged. "Maybe.." He murmured. "We need to go see what food we can get our hands on." Zach nodded at her question as the other two got up. "We'll see you later, Zach, okay?"
He nodded slowly, finishing his coffee.

"Nice meeting you two," Gryphon called, her eyes trailing them as they walked away. "They seem nice," She smiled as she got up from her seat, making her way over to the door. Walking outside, she held the door open, waiting for him to exit. "Went on any good walks lately?" She asked as they started down the sidewalk. Her hand began to play with a bracelet on her wrist while she waited on his answer.

They waved bye in response. Zach got up, following her until he got up, hugging his notebook close. His stomach was begging for more food, but he wasn't one to ask. "Some," He breathed, looking around.

"Anything interesting happen on them?" It was about an hour after noon and the lunch craze was begining to die down. They passed a few people headed back to work from their lunch breaks, but rarely, did Gryphon have to move to let others pass on the sidewalk.

Zach shook his head quietly, watching other people. He tugged at his hoodie sleeves, hiding scarred arms and freshly scabbed wrists. He stretched some, more scarred lines littering his stomach. Pulling his shirt back down, he gazed at the sidewalk.

Gryphon glanced at him silently, thinking she would have at least gotten more out of him. She sighed, looking across the street. Her hand reached out, grazing his before she remembered he didn't like to be touched. "Sorry.. this way" she started across the street, looking into the windows of the car shop office before back to Zach. "My car just stopped working when I was on my way to work." Smiling, she held open the door for him. "I think it was the battery,"Smiling she shrugged and made her way to the front desk.
"I'm here for to get my car.." The man just nodded, and pointed over to a couple of seats. Gryphon huffed, turning to walk back over to Zach.

Zach pulled his hand back uneasily, rubbed at his itching wrist from the fresh cuts. He followed her inside, then over to the seats, sat down and rubbed his arm again. He knew he wasn't supposed to have the switch blade on him, Colton had taken it for a reason when he realized he was cutting, had told him nit to. But Zach had it in his head that he just didn't understand, liked seeing the backwards cuts he used to put in his torso reflected in the mirrors. Nothing but ghosts of scars now, the long ones up his arms from his father. The father he couldn't even remember the name of since being beat over the head four years ago. He had always been different, but slight mental damage didn't help any, giving him irritability, anger flashes and tempers like a child might have.
