Munching on the cone, a soft smile played across her lips, her eyes searching his face. "A walk sounds nice and that way, I get to see your handsome face." It wasn't long before the cone was about half way gone, the ice cream threatening to seep over the edges for a last defense. One drop fell to her cast causing her to huff silently.

"Alright," He smiled faintly, trying to figure out the last time he had had such a good morning. It wasn't often. He reached for a napkin, gently wiping the drop off her cast before finishing his ice cream and cone.

She ate the rest of her cone in peace, enjoying the quiet. "I promise not to be as helpless when my arm heals," Drew laughed, taking the last bite of the cone. Using a napkin, she tried her best to wipe the crums from her fingers, but ended up just dusting them off on her pants. "Ready?" Her hand took one of his own, playing with his fingers as she leaned in to kiss his cheek. Slowly, she stood and began to move to the door, holding it open as she waited for him.

Jacob chuckled, following after her to the door and leading her to the truck. He hesitated when he reached it, leaned against it. "I have a better place, by the water. Nobody knows about it, we can go for a walk there." He smiled, kissing her forehead and helping her inside before getting in and backing the truck out.
He drummed his fingers on the wheel as he drove, heading down the dirt path off the road, the one that even further would have gone to the grim reaper's house. Vaguely he wondered how Connor was doing, turned on to an even lesser used path.

Her cheeks turned a faint pink as his lips touched her forehead. Using her one arm, she tried to lift herself up into the truck, thankful that he was there to help. Drew yawned quietly, looking over as Jacob got in. She reached over, messing with the air condition.
"If nobody knows about it, how do you know about it?" Her eyes watched as he turned this way and that. Every once and awhile, she would look behind to see the dust cloud rising.

"Nights running through the woods. My brothers know about it, but that's it.." He smirked, pulling around and backing the truck inti a clearing that looked out across the water far below, and the mountains in the background. He held on to her hand, led her a little closer. "Beautiful, huh? We used to cliff jump into the water in the Summers here, with my father..." He bit his lip.

Drew climbed out of the truck, sticking close to Jacob as he lead her close. "Cliff jump? Yeah, I don't think I could do that," She laughed, easing herself to look down below at the water. "I see pictures like this in the library, but they don't come anywhere near beautiful like this," She looked up at Jacob's face, smiling softly.

Jacob chuckled. "Yeah, Shawn loved it.." It was a hard topic for him, but his voice wasn't wavering yet. "My dad used to throw us out into the water and jump after us. Don't think I've ever had a bigger rush than being airborne. My mom always told us it was dangerous, she gave my dad nothing but grief when he dislocated his shoulder one night.." He laughed, eyes reflecting unspoken sorrow as he sat down beside her and tool her hand.

Drew scooted closer, laying her head on his shoulder. "That sounds wonderful," Her eyes watched the moutains, the leaves moving gently in the breeze. She played with his hand, running the tips of her fingers over his palm. "Not the dislocating of the shoulder, just spending time with family." She smiled faintly. His deep voice echoing in her ears. Drew chewed at her lip, her eyes peeked through her eyelashes.

"Yeah," Jacob drew in a breath. "It was... While it lasted. I guess I just have to be thankful for the time I did have.." He swallowed, that night on the road playing over and over in his head. He knew it was his fault his father was gone, his fault his brother was in a wheelchair. His hands shook faintly as he reached for a cigarette and his lighter.
