Xander fell short when she stopped, and he looked around curiously, nodded. "Yeah I do.." He murmured softly, watching her. "It's a lot to take on." He frowned some. "I also already happen to know who's gaurdian I am." But he offered no further information.

[aubri 'bee' ella-paige reed]

"Oh. Well I hope they're cool. Looking after someone not cool would suck, huh?" She smiled over at him, still playing with the bag in her pocket. "Bet that would get boring a lot. I wonder if my brothers are looking after people. Maybe that's why they haven't come to see me." She looked down at her feet, trying to decide if her legs would hurt less if she had shoes.

Xander smiled. "She is, pretty cool so far at least." He smirked some, ruffling her hair. "She's got a bit of a drug problem, and worries about my brother too much..."

His voice trailed, amusement in his brown eyes. "Maybe they are."

[aubri 'bee' ella-paige reed]

"Anyone with half a mind would wo- HEY!" She crossed her arms over her chest in a huff, sticking her bottom lip out. "I'm not a baby! I don't need no guy trailing after me! I don't care how cute you are!" She turned her back to him, lowering her head. "And I don't have a drug problem.. I have a life problem that happens to be able to be fixed by drugs..There's nothing /wrong/ with me." She wiped at one of her eyes, her hands starting to shake again. She refused to admit she had a problem, because it wasn't a problem to her. And she also refused to admit to him she was slowly growing addicted to something far worse than drugs..

Xander frowned. "I-...I'm sorry..I shouldn't have said anything." He drew her close, hugging her from behind, hands resting gently on her stomach. His chin found the top of her head.

"S'okay you know...doesn't make me see you any different okay? We all got our problems Bee... I'm just here to protect you while you work through yours."

"I don't need to be protected.." She mumbled. But the bruises on her body told different. She couldn't help thinking that protecting her was her brothers' jobs. If they hadn't died, she wouldn't need some random stranger here to look after her. Then again, her brothers would probably have killed every guy she had ever slept with, because when it came to Bee, she could do no wrong to them.

She trailed her fingers up his arm, chewing on her lip. "I told you, I can do bad on my own.. I don't need help.." She insisted.

Xander gently pulled her lip from her teeth again. "I didn't ask to come here, ask to live like this and help you. I didn't even know you exsisted, or had helped Trez...if, if you didn't need help, I'd still be up there." He jerked his thumb towards the sky. "And wouldn't have had the chance to see Trez again. I'm sure I ran into your brother's up there, somewhere Bee." He hugged her gently again. "I'm not gonna go telling you what to do, I gotta worry 'bout Trez too. But I-...I'm gonna be here, okay? Whenever you need somethin' or wanna talk or something. Cos I've been on the other side of that, the sibling doing the dying." He frowned some. "And it's just as hard."

She hugged him back, rubbing his back gently. She didn't want to get her hopes up that he actually would be there. No one she talked to ever cared about her long enough to stay. "Then I'm glad I was fucked up enough for Trez to have his brother back.." She said quietly, laying her head against his shoulder. She didn't want to think that way, that she was so screwed up that they had to send someone to help her. But as far as she was concerned, if it kept Xander here for Trez, she didn't want to be fixed.

Xander shook his head, rubbing between her shoulders gently. "That's not the point. I could come and seen Trez any time after gettig my wings. I jus' got 'em is all.." He offered her a sweet smile. "But now I can hit two birds with one stone like this. I really do want to help you, I'm not gonna lose Trez in the process, don't worry about that, okay?"

He brushed her hair back, gazing down at her with another faint smile.

She just looked over into the trees, sure she could see glowing red eyes. She grabbed Xander's hand, nearly yanking him the rest of the way out of the forest. She stopped near the fence, leaning against it in pain. "Ow, that fucking hurt.." She groaned, doubling over. She folded her arms across her knees, tears falling down her cheeks from the horrible pain she was in.
