Sullivan sat contentedly on a stump, over looking the lake. He saw the merpeople swimming just below the surface, their scales glinting in the bright sunlight. He tapped his pencil on the sketchbook he had in his lap, and looked down, continuing on the odd person. With a few small strokes of the pencil, the curly haired person had a witch's hat. He couldn't help thinking if the creature were any thinner, the wind would take off with her. But wind didn't blow in the world that was Sully's Sketchbook. Or did it? He bit his lip, erasing the hat carefully before drawing it a bit aways from the person, being carried off by the wind.
"Sully, you draw the strangest things. No one could possibly be that thin." Taiken groaned, looking over his shoulder, her red hair falling over his shoulder.
"Sure they could. You're just to narrow minded to see it." He argued.

Dark little eyes looked from side to side in their enclosment. "Oh baby, Beauu." Caine said a sing song voice, getting a little giggle out of the infact. Caine pushed the stroller down a dirty old road that lead out to the lake. Dallas was at classes and he had decided to take Beau out. A note for Dallas was left on the table at home, in case she was home before them. "Your momma's so beautiful." Caine talked to Beau as if he could respond, but all he got was gibberish.
"You'll see. One day you'll be saying, 'my mommas so beautiful'," Caine laughed as the arrived in the view of the lake. He strolled the strolled over to a pile of rocks, bending down and coming eye to eye with Beau. Beau had that sweet face that pleaded, 'get me out of here'. Caine unbuckled the infant, pulling him up onto his hip before standing. He always enjoyed spending time with his boy, even if he wasn't old enough to understand yet.
Caine walked over to a grassy area, where the lake wasn't a drop down and Beau could put his fingers in. Caine sat Beau down next to his feet as he unfolded a blanket that was withheld in the baby bag across his shoulder. "I'm watching you." Caine laughed as Beau flopped to his back. Caine laid the blanket down, flattening out the corners.
Something not to far away something caught Caine's eyes. Two figures sitting on a stump. He decided to ignore it, and began to pull some toys out for Beau to play with. Beau had crawled to the edge of the blanket, looking over at the stump. "Yep, other people. We shouldn't bother them though." A smile crossed Caine's face as Beau seemed to pout and point.

Taiken stayed silent, bent over her brother's slumped figure. She watched as he drew, the witch getting striped stockings and pointy boots. She complained again, telling him witches weren't so neat and tidy. So he added a poofy tulle skirt to her, and Taiken smiled, kissing her brother's cheek. She looked over and saw the little baby. But before Sullivan could tell her not to, she was bouncing across the way, kneeling down in front of the baby.
"Aw! Sullivan, come see!" She called, putting her finger in the baby's hand.
"Taiken, stop bothering the people. You're loud enough to wake the dead." Sullivan complained, setting his sketchbook in his lap as he looked over. The baby was cute, but the guy didn't seem to be the type who wanted to be bothered.
"Oh hush, grumpy gus." She said with a wrinkle of her nose. She smiled at the baby, running her fingers through the abundance of little baby hair. "Can I play with him?" She asked, looking up at Caine.

Caine looked up to see one of the people walk over, bending imidiely down in front of Beau. His first reaction was to grab Beau, but didn't. Instead he brought a couple of toys and books over. When he noticed the boy, he could tell the boy was different. A reincarnate, as they called it. "Yeah, here's a few toys and books." He placed the toys down, but flipped through the books in his hand, finding the one he was looking for, Green Eggs and Ham. Caine looked back up at the boy and smiled to himself.
"His name is Beau and I'm Caine." He stood, and out reached his hand to the boy. It was fasinating to him. Another weird spieces. This town seemed to be full of them. Of course, he didn't mean weird in the usual way. He meant it in a good way, after all he was one of them. Beau shook the girl's finger quickly, before letting go to pick up a smallish ball. He tossed it to the girl, which really just rolled off his lap and to the front of his curled up toes.

Sullivan reached out his hand, shaking the other man's gently. He watched Taiken lay down beside the little baby, her red hair fanning out around her. She picked up the book, starting to read it to the baby.
"I'm sorry. She really loved babies. She's the younger of us, so she never really got to be around a baby." He shrugged, and started adding details to his drawing. He took a big bag of coloring pencils from his bag, slowly starting to color it, paying special attention to the lines.
"I'm Sullivan and she's Taiken. She can be really loud and annoying." He looked up and saw her scowl at him. He smirked, and went back to coloring his drawing.
"I know, brother's are so mean." She cooed to the baby. "I don't know why they have to exist. Having a sister is better. Remember that." She turned the page of the book, reading the next bit.

Caine smiled, sitting back down behind Beau who was spread out on his belly, plucking at the blanket as the girl read. "That's alright. Beau's used to meeting people. Kinda got a big family.." He laughed, knowing he didn't really have a big family, but Dallas and Beau did. He looked up as the man began to sketch. "What kind of sketches do you do?" he asked, wondering if some looked like that of a Dr. Seuss book.
Beau burped, and made gibberish noises as the girl read to him. Using the blanket, he pulled his way, well really, he pulled the blanket toward him and plucked at the grass, throwing it everywhere, but none ever went far. "Looks like someones gonna get another bath" He laughed watching Beau interact with the girl as much as he could. "It's nice to meet you two. I didn't know people came out to the lake that much. It's kinda why I brought Beau. Plus he likes being outside." Caine shrugged, happy that he had stories to share, or atleast more to talk about with strangers.

Sullivan handed him the sketchbook, filled with sketches of weird animals, and outfits his sister usually made up into things she could wear. "I don't know anything about having a big family. It's just me and Bow Tie over there." He mumbled, looking back down into the water. He watched Taiken put the book down, watching the baby now.
"You have so much hair!" She told him, playing with it again. She handed him a toy, hoping it would keep him from playing with the grass. Grass had bugs, and bugs were icky as far as she was concerned. She took her hat off, putting it on his head. She smiled over at him, then rolled over onto her side.
"Taiken, get your hat off his head!" He yelled over to her.
"Oh, Sully. What's a hat ever hurt?" She grumbled, then took it off his head, putting it back on hers.
"Back talks everything." He mumbled, taking off his shoes to put his feet in the water.

Beau pulled at the hat that engulfed his head. A bright smile on his face as it was pulled off. More gibberish came from his lips, and he picked up another book, but it slipped through his fingers and he moved on to the next toy. He scooted his way over to the girl, and slapped her knee gently. "Hey! Beau, come on now." Caine laughed, knowing it didn't hurt the girl, but he wanted Beau to know from a young age that it wasn't okay to hit girls.
Caine flipped through the sketch book, noticing a few similarites to the Dr. Suess books. "These are pretty cool. Do you write stories about them?" He asked, looking up as Sullivan put his feet in the water, which Beau suddenly seemed to be interested in. But he didn't move to the waters edge, instead he tugged at the girl and pointed toward the water. "Looks like he's replaced me already." Caine laughed

Sullivan shook his head. "No, I've never been much of a writer. I just like to draw. Taiken likes when I draw girls and then we can find outfits that match. She thinks if I ever become famous or something, she can rub it in people's faces. But I guess she doesn't know that I'll never be famous."
Taiken took off her shoes and her socks, then pulled off her bracelets. She pulled off the shirt she had over her camisole and then took the baby's shoes off, rolling up his jeans. She was in shorts, so had nothing to worry about. She sat at the water's edge, putting his little feet in along with hers. "Feels good, huh?" She asked the baby, hugging him close.
"Don't you take him in the water, Taiken!" Sullivan scolded.
"I ain't, Sully!" She fussed back.

Maybe not in this life Caine thought, keeping his eyes on Beau as the girl placed his feet in the water. Beau was jiggling in her arms, picking his feet up and then dropping them. His cute little baby face, holding the sweet smile of innocence. "Ha, just be careful, please. Dallas would be hurt if anything happened to her little frog." He laughed, using the nickname Dallas had given Beau.
"She'd kill me, if it was possible." Caine added, jokingily. He stretched his arms, his eyes switching from Sully, to Tia, and then back to Beau. He was prepared to jump at any second if his baby was to slip from the girl's arms. "Ha, I'm sorry. This is the first time I've ran into someone new in awhile. Conversation isn't really my thing.."
