"You've been pretty useful to me so far, and I'm not even your charge." Well, it was true. She was helping him find answers that he otherwise might have taken ages to stumble upon, if at all.
...well, no, that wasn't true. He would have stumbled upon them eventually, but meeting Charlie was a catalyst that allowed it to happen a lot sooner than it might have otherwise. And to be honest, Oliver knew that he still had a long way to go.
Oliver looked at the man in the back, pondering. "It could be. That could be my great grandfather or something. Or probably more likely great great grandfather." It was a weird thought, but even weirder looking at a picture of what was supposedly himself.
Though as far as looks were concerned, Oliver and Orville looked nothing alike, if one were to take a close look, the way Oliver carried himself was similar, as well as some of his mannerisms. Even some of his facial expressions were similar...though Oliver wasn't aware of this. It wasn't like he could see his own behaviors most of the time. Oliver's hand drifted toward his face, as he felt where a mustache would have been if he had one. The mustache that Orville did have in the picture in front of him.
He was drawn away from his thoughts when he heard Charlie's remark about her back. "Are you alright?"

She was drifting off into sleep, the silence filling her ears until he spoke. She looked up at him again, his question echoing in her head a moment before she finally answered. "Just sleepy, is all.." She said quietly, closing her eyes again. Her back was throbbing in pain, begging for her to release her wings. And she figured if she could find an old cabin or something, she could just stay there for the night.
"My boss had me work from.. five til now.." She mumbled, knowing the guy was taking advantage of her not having a place to go home to. But even angels got tired.
"Maybe he isn't any relation. It's just a coincidence. Huh?" She asked, not even understanding her question herself.

Oliver frowned when the girl admitted that she was sleepy. "You want to go? I don't want to keep you if you're sleepy." He was grateful for everything that she'd done, and absolutely bursting with questions, but if she was so tired that she was going to fall asleep at the table, he certainly didn't want to keep her there.
Then again, where else did she have to go?
"That's a long time to work. Did you have to go without a break again?" If she did, that was even worse...

"No, I don't have anywhere to go anyways.." And besides, the library was warm. The park would be at least in the thirties, if not lower with the wind chill.
'I just want Tyler..' She thought, wiping absently at an eye. Sometimes she wished she could just go sleep on a cloud. But she couldn't.
"No.. I got another break. I just kinda sat there.." She said quietly, sitting back in her seat. She folded her hands in her lap, looking over at him.

Oliver would have offered to let Charlie stay at his dorm if he didn't realize that would be awkward. Plus his roommates might look at him strangely, and assume that Charlie was a girlfriend or something. Nope, that wasn't the case, and if Oliver had to be honest, he and Charlie just barely crossed from acquaintances to friends, if that. He didn't know what she thought, but he knew that he considered Charlie a friend after what she'd done to help him.
"You said you can read, right? Maybe you could take a few books out from here to give you something to do on your breaks. So you don't have to just sit there." He doubted that Charlie had all that much money, and library books were free.

"I can read. But if I start reading, I get lost in the book. And it seems a bit bothersome to be keeping up with someone else's book." She had a hard enough time keeping track of her own things. She usually just asked Jacob if she could keep her clothes there with Tyler and shower there in the early morning when only he was up.
"Well, I think.. I'm going to go bother Jacob. Considering it's all late. Maybe he's still awake. Goodnight." She said as she stood up. She leaned down, wrapping her arms around his neck.

"Well, I was just thinking it might give you something to do. But if you don't want to keep up with borrowing books, maybe we could go out and buy one some time." Oliver couldn't fathom just sitting there. Sure, he could easily be entertained by his thoughts, but he usually had something to jot his thoughts down on, or something to mull over in his head. Something like the meaning of his dreams, or some mechanical thing that he was focusing his mind on. Then again, Charlie certainly had a lot of things to think about as well, so maybe she kept herself entertained with that.
Oliver smiled to Charlie as she wrapped her arms around his neck, still feeling a bit awkward but considerably more relaxed than earlier. He was starting to get the idea that this was just something he'd have to get used to with Charlie, and he couldn't help but feel a little comforted that she didn't care who he was, yet was still willing to hug him and all that stuff. It was old-fashioned in a way that Oliver enjoyed. Then again, it seemed that he was old-fashioned in his own way himself. "Alright. It was nice talking to you, and I hope we'll bump into each other again some time. Thanks for...well, everything." He stated with a grin. There was still a lot to figure out, but this new possibility...no, this new certainty...well, it opened all sorts of new doors.
