Caine sighed, not wanting to argue with his brother. He was only try to announce his worries. He swung the bags around in his hands, listening as Jayce talked. "Well I'm glad you are dating..." He bit his lip, not sure of what to think about the boyfriend situation. But if he made Jayce happy, why should he care what gender he was? "Does he make you happy?" asked Caine, trying to show Jayce he cared.
He looked down at his watch, knowing soon he would have to go, but he wanted to talk to Jayce more. Caine knew that his brother was to sure of him. Still didn't want to believe he was here. It hurt him, but he hope it would go away soon.

Jayson let out a shaky breath. "I-...yeah he does.." He mumbled, rubbing at his face. He touched at the baggy in his pocket again absently, looking around the store. "I just hope dad loosens up is all."
Swallowing, he licked his lips a bit. "Guess I...shouldn't keep you waiting." Eyes were pained. "You have better things to do than reconstruct your life with me again huh? A new family to deal with instead." The words wavered and suddenly grief washed over him. He tried to duck around Caine, tried not to let him see.

Caine sighed, deeply. It pained him to hear his brother say that. "But I want to get to know you..." He mummbled, not even turning as Jayce ducked around him and out the exit. He stood there for a moment, replaying what had just happened in his head. Did his brother hate him that much? Caine cleared his throat, turning to head out the exit. He walked across the parking lot, barely looking to see if cars were coming.
Beep. Beep. The car locked, and he popped the trunk, setting the bags inside. He unlocked the doors and walked over to the drivers side. Opening it slowly, he climbed in, sticking the key into the ignition. He put the car in reverse and backed out of the parking spot, and then switching gears to drive down and out of the parking lot, waiting to make a left turn and head home.

"You already did know me once," Jayson had whispered in his retreat. He wiped angrily at his eyes, not bothering go back into the store. He didn't care if he needed anything right now. Stepping off the curb, he walked rather clise to the white line of the road, not caring about the high traffic risk, too caught up in his own thoughts.
He glanced over his shoulder at Caine's car, spun at the screech of tires on asphalt and scrambled to get out of the way. Hands and knees hit the ground with a shaky breath, metal crunching into a tree not even two feet away from him.

The light turned green, but Caine's head had spun around. The screech of a car echoing in his ears. Not to far away, he could see something laying on the ground and a car crunched into a tree. He pulled out into the street, turning his car the best he could and headed over towards the accdient. As he drew close, he could see Jayce. His eyes began to swell with tears. His gears crunched as he through the gear shift into park. "Jayce. Jayce!"
Caine ran over to him, kneeling on the ground beside him. He rolled his brother over onto his back gently, trying to see if he was hurt. "Are you okay?" He huffed.

Jayce groaned softly, fear and adrenalin high, and briefly tried pushing away. "I'm fine," He snapped. 'Why would you care?' The retort lingered on his tongue, but the adrenalin was fading. He hadn't been touched by the vehicle, hands bloody from the ground.
Suddenly his chest felt tight. He wrapped his arms around his older brother, shoulders shaking as he hugged him tight, crying. "I can't do this nomore. A-...anything. It's too hard Caine.. I need you so much.."

Caine backed away slowly, only to be brought back by the grip of his brother. "Jayce.. I.. I wanna help you.. I want to be here for you" He sighed, hugging his brother back. "Do you want to go to the hospital? Or somewhere? I'll take you anywhere." Caine held him back, looking into his eyes. It was so hard to read Jayce's face. Caine's eyes swelled with more tears as he saw the pain.
"Please let me help... please." He begged, falling down from his toes to his knees. It hurt to feel Jayce push him away. All Caine wanted to do was help, he wanted to be there for his brother. He wanted the bond they used to have, where everything was great. And he would try anything to get it back there.

"I didn't get hit..I'm okay.." He mumbled into his shoulder. Well, he hadn't been hit directly, struck across the shoulderblade by the mirror but that was about it.
"I just don't wanna lose touch...Wanna know you really are here. I didn't think a year without you could be so hard." He clenched his teeth to stop his jaw from trembling, feeling sick with the spin of emotions.
As Caine held him back, searching his face, Jayson drew in a shaky breath. He turned away, heaving softly, a hand bracing his weight on the sidewalk.

"I am here. I want to be here for you more than anything." Caine choked, letting his brother slink slowly to his hand. He shook his head, looking around to see what was going on. People were crowding, the man screaming on the phone about his car. Suddenly, Caine remembered the baggy noice coming from Jayce's pocket. "Jayce.. we need to go. Please come get in the car."
Caine stood, holding on to his brother, helping him stand to his feet. He wrapped Jayce's arm around his shoulders, putting his arm around his waist so he could walk easier. Opening the passenger's side door, he placed Jayce in the car and walked around to the drivers side. Caine stuck the key in the ignition and looked over at Jayce. "Where do you wanna go?" He asked, before shifing gears and turning to go and make a right by the light. He pulled out onto the street as quickly as he could.

Jayson grimaced as he was helped to his feet, wiping his bloody hands on his jeans, wincing at the sting against his scraped and torn palms. He almost questioned the urgency of Caine's voice, remembered the drugs in his pocket and kept quiet.
Taking his older brother's support, he slipped into the passengers seat and rested his head on the window, rolling his stiffening shoulder. "Don't care..." He mumbled. "Maybe somewhere to fix my hands up just-...just not home."
