Connor curled up closer, jumping as the doorbell rang. He gripped at Deacon, then realized it was probably pizza and bit his lip.

Deacon looked over, gently moving out from under him. He walked over to the door, opening it slowly. He walked to the bathroom to grab his wallet, paying the man before he closed the door, bringing it to the kitchen. "You can eat if you want. We'll just heat Bandit's up when she wakes up."

Connor nodded, grabbing a piece of pizza and sitting down again before taking a bite. He winced in pain as he swallowed, drawing in a careful breath before taking another bite. When it went down a little easier, he relaxed

"Small bites." He told him, kissing the side of his head gently. He sat down with him, used to eating with the family even if he did nothing more than mess with his glass.

Connor nodded, getting up to warm some more water for tea and coming back with his mug again. He set it aside to steep, starting to work carefully on his pizza again.

Connor watched him with the flowers, setting his crust down on his napkin. It hurt enough with cheese going down, he didn't dare try the crust. "I-if you want.." He murmured. "Or I can."

"I can do it." He said with a smile. He got up and put a pot of water on to boil, fishing under the sink for the tea pitcher. He washed it out, sitting it on the rack to dry. He looked over as Bandit toddled sleepily into the kitchen.
